It was too late to tell Flora to dodge as the attack came quite quickly. "Flora try to freeze their movements" Zak called out to his pokemon.
Flora was hit with the attack however she would not be discouraged by it. Focusing her might upon the flying type she aimed another beam of ice at them.

"Behind you! Dodge it!" Alexa cried out seeing the Kingdra attack right after Stribog had passed her.
Stribog heard the call and flapped his wings hard to make himself fly up quickly. The ice beam passed by underneath him and he soared higher. Once more out of reach he glowed brightly. Soon he was diving at Flora ready to blast her again.

Flora was once more hit with the attack, however Zak wasn't about to switch his strategy yet. "Ice Beam once more Flora!" he called out
She was weakening, however she would stay strong for her trainer. Once more she fired and ice beam at the flying type.

Stribog wasn't far enough away when Flora fired off another ice beam. He was hit with it and it instantly froze his wings. He managed to land safely but he was a sitting Altaria for the time being.
Alexa groaned when Stribog was hit. This could turn the battle around in their opponent's favor.

"Alright Flora Confide" Zak called out.
The kingdra was confused at her trainer's command. Why would she want to talk to a block of ice. Still she complied and began to tell a story to the frozen Alteria.

There was nothing for Stribog to do but sit there and wiggle about trying to break the ice on his wings. He even had to listen to the story that the Kingdra was telling him. Could she at least throw in some action or romance into the story?

Flora continued to tell the story. Moving from her first encounter with a flying type to her first meeting with her trainer and then forward. In a sense the kingdra was telling the flying type her entire life story.

Stribog wiggled a little more feeling the ice melting and heard a small crack. Soon he'd be out of this and able to get away from Flora. He wasn't interested in her life's story.

Stribog managed to lift his frozen wings and smashed them on the ground. Big chunks of ice broke off. Soon the rest would be off too. He continued to smash the ice on the ground trying to free himself faster.

Seeing that the ice was cracking it was time to act. "Alright Flora lets try confusing him!" Zak called out.
Finally. It took long enough, she was quite tired of telling this flying thing her life story. Focusing she sent a beam of intense light towards the bird.

Stribog smashed the remainder of the ice off his wings. He was then staring directly into a bright light and had to blink a few times. Everything was still all fuzzy and he wasn't able to see well. He did take off but didn't fly anywhere, just hovered. Soon a ringing noise could be heard as he tried to clear the status and stat conditions inflicted on him. It worked and he was soon seeing clearly.

Well that was quite useless but they were not about to give up. "Flora lets try freezing its movements again" there was still away the two could win this. But a few things would have to happen first.
Flora focused quite frustrated her self as the outcome all of her work had done. She blasted an beam of ice in the direction of the flying type.

Stribog was just flying away when he got hit with the ice beam. It froze just one wing making him have to land. He immediately began pecking it making it break up quickly.

The layer of ice was thin, he could see that, soon it would break free. "Flora try to reinforce the ice with another Ice Beam" he called out
She could do that. It was simple enough and time and time again she had frozen this bird solid.
