Mpeka's eye's widened in surprise at the sudden question the other lioness had asked, ear's perking up curiously before she looked over at Kavu. She was fond of them and by lion standard's they did spend the night together. So she supposed she was right.
She let a small smile light her face slightly as her ear's flattened back in a graceful movement. "Yes, we're mates." She said softly.
The dark hued female watched as the new male nudged Nuri's cheek, only to look at her. "And I'm assuming he is yours?"

Kavu's eyes darted from Chomo, to the new cub, to the slave, then back to Chomo; their appearance had set him on edge. Though having Chomo around might make Nuri feel more at ease, it was making Kavu nervous. If anyone accidentally set Nuri off, no doubt Chomo would join in the fight. Kavu knew he, Mpeka and Teleka were all strong, but they were no match for a pair of angry new parents.
As Mpeka's words hit his ears, Kavu couldn't help but swell with pride. He straightened himself up and let his head rest on Mpeka's rock, grinning like a doofus.

Nuri cast a slow glance to the approach of her slave, eyeing Denahi as he seemed to submit so willingly. Her dark gaze traveling to the newly scarred back, she smirked lightly to herself before she felt a new force draw near. It was the scent of two others that made her still and her eyes warm over, and she smiled softly as Ra and Chomo appeared to the large oasis. Noting his discomfort as he made way to her side, she warmly returned his affectionate action with her own, and glanced to her other son, watching the young cub pounce towards Naraka.
Turning his head as soon as a rough tongue touched his pelt, Naraka let out a sudden squeak before his eyes alit with admiration for his father. Chomo was everything Naraka wanted to be, just as Ra had dreamed of himself. The two had constantly admired their father for his size, his power, and his ability to calm even the toughest of lions; Such as their mother. But he could only think of that before he suddenly caught sight of his brother rushing over on frenzied paws. As soon as Ra struck, Naraka retaliated, and send the two into a mess of brawling and pinning. It was just a game of course, but in the end it would always determin who was the better of the two.
Turning her eyes towards Denahi, Nuri thought for a moment before she spoke in a tone demanding he pay close attention.
"Denahi." She commanded, and waited for him to look up before she spoke in a softer manner, "Watch over the boys, make sure they do not wander too far into the sands. And boys...behave for Denahi." She said the last part as an afterthought, and did not wait for a responce before she turned back towards the rest of the group, all warmth gone once more. When Mpeka confirmed her suspisions, she gained a smirk of pure bliss at reading the two so correctly, but even that faded soon after.
"Yes," She murmered in responce to Mpeka's question, "Chomo and I are...we have been since we traveled from the green lands to the south back to our home." Glancing towards Kavu, Nuri eyed his stance before it relaxed, and decided that there wouldn't be any bloodshed. Everyone was wise, she knew three was too many, and they knew that two mates with the cubs was no easy match as well. Turning her head to the sands, she let out a soft sigh.
"The Blood has changed since my last stay as a cub..." She glanced towards Chomo, her eyes saying it as she nodded to him slowly. Maybe the two would learn of more things today if they just listen to the responces of the others.

Denahi's gaze only lifted momentarily as Nuri addressed him. Shifting his paws, he nodded to her, flickering the light blue eyes to the two roughhousing cubs. Oh boy...Did Nuri want him to like..take them away for the grownups to talk or was he just suppose to watch them here. Well..his question was sort of answered when the crimson firekin turned her back on the children.
The charcoal slave backed up slightly, sitting down only a moment later watching the cubs. If things got too chaotic, he'd have to break them up. No use in having the cubbins try murdering eachother, even if they were only playing.
