As the pair of cats started to get up, Shaun backed up to get a wider shot. Seeing cats stretch was always charming, and it was good to get some photographs of that.

To their trainer he said, "They can do whatever they want, really. I'm not picky. I'm happy to photograph pokemon doing whatever comes naturally to them, whether that's sleeping, showing off, or battling." Once he'd gotten enough pictures of them getting up, he pulled out his notebook again. "Rho and Sigma, you said their names are? Which is which," he asked, pencil poised over the paper. Then he blinked rapidly as he realized something. "Oh, I'm afraid I didn't get your name either. How embarrassing." He scratched at the back of his head sheepishly. "I introduced myself, didn't I? Shawn Rowland," he added, just to be sure.

Salvo took the chance to grab another mouthful of leafy grasses as Delta talked. When the Sawsbuck finished, Salvo swallowed and said, <"Far north? We haven't been there yet. Shaun says it's usually very cold, so it's not a very good place for me, but he'll probably want to get there eventually.">

Though it was rude to point (and Rho leveled an annoyed gaze on his trainer when she did), Magnolia flicked an erected forefinger between the two of the cat Pokemon. "That's Rho," she said, pointing to the Glameow. "And that's Sigma, my Delcatty. Oh? Oh!" She turned her thumb inward toward her chest. "And I'm Magnolia. Magnolia Claus." She mimicked his gesture by also scratching the back of her head sheepishly. "I guess I was so excited about getting my Pokemon photographed I totally forgot an introduction. Sorry, sorry."

Rho sat and crooked his neck to loosen more of his taut muscles. Sigma, as he was eyed by the Glameow, found himself curious of the man's device. Trotting over to him, the Delcatty propped himself up to standing on his hinds against the man's leg and snipped upward curiously.

" Rho remarked.

"" Sigma retorted dismissively.

Delta dipped his head twice at the Tropius. <"We, um, we had a little out-of-the-way trip to make up there.>" The Sawsbuck shifted from hoof to hoof nervously. He wasn't sure how he should go about talking about the Jirachi, Altais, without his trainer's consent.

Whoops! I add the extra 'e' to avoid you being spammed with quote notifications because I am guilty of submitting without reading for typos, haha. I really have to change my habit...

"No, no, it's fine," he assured her. "I was a bit overeager to do the photographing."

The dialog had completely taken his attention from the Delcatty and Glameow he'd been photographing. Fortunately, he was interrupted from a potential circle of awkward dialog by Sigma trotting up to him. He looked down at the curious pokemon in time to see him sitting upright to sniff at his camera. Shaun smiled down at the pokemon and said, "It's a camera, a device that takes an image of something so people can see it later. Here, I'll show you." He pulled out a digital camera, snapped a picture of the Delcatty looking up at him (it was such a cute pose, especially from close up) then turned the camera around to show Rho the new picture on the screen. "See?"

Salvo nodded, but it didn't seem like something Delta wanted to discuss more, and it wasn't in his nature to pry. Instead he asked, <"Was it as cold up there as Shaun says?">

Sigma blinked a few times and, when he was shown his own image on the camera's screen, he purred. After studying it for a moment, the Delcatty twisted his head about in a prim fashion, expressing pleasure at the picture taken, and mewed out, "Delmeow!" up to Shaun in approval. Magnolia chuckled into the palm of her hand at the feline. Like Rho, it was rare for him to be interested in a subject unless it was of himself.

"He likes it," she promptly told the watcher, "And, by the looks of it, so might Rho."

The Glameow, a little upset at being left out of the fun, bounded over to Shaun as well and struck a pose one might consider more "cutesy" by stretching his hind up in the air and twirling his curled tail. Sigma rolled his eyes at the cat, but accepted it in stride. No matter how indifferent he acted toward his trainer, he always looked for any moment to receive attention from her.

"Looking good, Rho," she smiled. Spying her Buneary, who was now bounding off in another direction to hide, Magnolia called to her, "Hey, Phi! Come take a photo too!" The skittish head shake she gave her trainer was ignored when the fourteen year old raced over, scooped her up, and brought her over to the watcher.

Delta nodded his head, acting out a shiver with his reply. "yes, it was cold. Horribly cold. I was still in-season at the time -- meaning I was in my spring form. Let's just say braving the elements when a Pokemon is not made for the weather is terrible. I thought all of my antlers' leaves would fall off.>"

Sorry for the wait on this!

Shaun smiled at Sigma's reaction, then chuckled at Rho. "Well, I'd hate to disappoint him, then," he said, and obligingly started photographing the Glameow.

He finally got a good look at the Buneary when Magnolia caught him and brought him over. He paused photographing to say, "If he doesn't want to, that's OK. I'd hate to make a pokemon uncomfortable, so I only want to photograph them if they're willing, or at least don't know I'm there." He grinned and added, "Besides, unhappy pokemon make for terrible pictures."

Salvo tilted his head, puzzled. <"Spring form? So you change with the seasons, like trees? I haven't heard of that before."> He glanced over his shoulder at his own leaves. <"I stay the same, no matter what time of year it is."> He paused, remembering something, then added, <"Well, my fruit comes in and out of season. But the rest of me stays the same.">

Magnolia struggled to hold the fussing Buneary. "Are you sure?" she asked with a tilt of her head. "Well, okay then." Releasing the rabbit Pokemon, it bounded off away from her with a quick speed in the direction of Theta and her younger sibling. She had calmed down now and smiled at the Buneary when she neared, bringing her bashful self to rest.

Rho continued striking poses and Delta continued rolling his eyes. When Magnolia wasn't paying him as much attention as he preferred, the Glameow lessened his charm back to his forever huffy state.

Delta nodded his head. "" He tilted his head up to the Tropius's fruit. "" Suddenly, the Sawsbuck retched at the thought. ""

(I think you meant Snover in your last post. razz )

Shaun was happy to keep taking pictures of Rho, but apparently the Glameow got tired of posing quickly or something, because before long he became far less photogenic. Shaun paused to look over his camera at the pokemon. "Hmm? Done already?" he asked the cat.

Salvo blinked and tilted his head at the question. <"Hmm, I've never thought of that."> He tried to look down at his fruit to see how much there was, but since they hung below his chin, it was rather hard to get a good look at them. He tilted his head this way and that, but only succeeded in seeing the tips of them and getting a crick in his neck. So he shook his head to loosen it and said, <"Anyway, I don't think there's enough of it to make much of a meal for me. But Shaun likes snaking on it, or giving the fruit to other people to eat, and that's fine with me.">

Rho's eyes fell half-lidded at the male. That should've been enough to answer his question, but the small push from Sigma caused Rho to continue his embarrassing display.

"" the Delcatty asked. ""

The Glameow slid his eyes over to Sigma and, when the feline raised his eyebrows at him in expectation, and when he gave no coy smile with the statements, Rho pursed his lips and continued; falling onto his back and stretching his legs up into the air.

Magnolia clapped her hands together and giggled. "Oh, how cute!" she chirped.

The internal satisfaction Rho felt was incredible.

"" Delta approached the Tropius and craned his neck upward to the yellow fruit just below his neck. ""

Buh, my mistake. Yep, I meant Snover, haha.

Shaun had expected his question to be rhetorical, and when Rho gave him a look he figured that would be the end of it. But it seemed Sigma had other ideas and meowed something that encouraged Rho to continue. Though a look that passed between the two suggested Rho was not entirely willing. The pose was cute though, so Shaun snapped a few more pictures.

"I've got plenty of good pictures now, thank you," he told Rho. Then he glanced back towards Sigma. "How about you? Did you want to show off a bit more?"

Salvo...wasn't sure how to feel about the suggestion. He certainly didn't mind people or pokemon eating his fruit, but letting a pokemon get its teeth so close to his neck was not a comfortable thought. Still, Delta had seemed nice enough...<"I guess so,"> he finally said. <"They're ripe now, so you should be able to grab hold of it and tug it right off, without too much effort."> He raised his chin a bit to let the Sawsbuck reach the fruit more easily, but he watched the other pokemon as well as he could.
