Octobre
Braxton couldn't help the little flutter he felt within what he thought was his empty chest cavity. How peculiar. Her smile was.. invigorating. The blood against her mouth making the small stretch of lips and flash of teeth all the more enticing. The next words out of those very lips were an invitation. At least, he believed they were from what he had observed from the mare thus far. He took a deep inhale, partly to scent the air for this peculiar scent... more so to take in more of Octobre's own unique, rusty flower scent. He was unsure of what scent he was looking for, but she didn't know that.
"Doesn't seem to be too far a venture," he hummed. "Still... we should get going if you wish to have the crimson upon your lips before the sun ascends,"
He walked a few steps to stand right next to her and bowed playfully, gesturing towards the forest with a hoof. "After you, Madame Octobre,"

Octobre's ears shifted at the gentle noises Braxton's nose was making. He had already settled into his role as her aid, it seemed, and by the sound of it was eager to help her seek out her quarry. How...endearing, she momentarily thought, and yet that was not quite the word she had in mind, though she couldn't put her hoof what was. Later, perhaps...
His playfulness caught her by surprise and the mare blinked, analyzing in the sight of the bow and gesture before her. She met the stallion's eyes, readjusting her perception of him, before half of her previous smile returned with a barely detectable sense of impishness all its own.
"Thank you, Braxton," she answered weightedly, and, as he had instructed, continued forward to the trees. Octobre had often gone ahead of others in the past, but this time things were different, she noted. This time, she wouldn't venture to her destination alone.
This time, she had someone to go with.
