After healing his team up Simon put away Hypno, Marowak and Venomoth for now and took out a trio of rock Pokemon. These Pokemon were Rhyhorn, Diglett and Geodude since Rhyhorn would take the most train up he hoped to get the other two evolved and getting stronger while he worked with Rhyhorn. Now that his training team was ready to go he thanked Nurse Joy and left to return to the haunted house.

Entering the town Simon actually crossed the line of sight of a girl who requested a battle. Telling him that her name was Sally she sent out Audino to start things off. Right now all of his rock Pokemon were the same level so Simon decided to keep it that way for now. First he sent out Diglett, switching him out for Noivern but actually returning him for now. Just like before Simon sent out Rhyhorn for Noivern. Sally's next Pokemon made him contemplate returning Shedinja for Dusknoir. Realizing that Simon never actually scanned his Dusknoir Simon scanned this one now. "Dusknoir the gripper Pokemon. It is said to take lost spirits into its pliant body and guide them home." Noivern hovered there as her Dusknoir used astonish. The level difference didn't hurt it that much so Noivern, with the aid of the dragon fang around his neck, fired off a dragon pulse.

With all three rock Pokemon having been out Simon could just stay out with Noivern. He was getting up there in levels and would soon be maxed out so Simon needed to consider bringing out a different flying type. He would feel dismayed but his family would keep Noivern out back home and he could rest. Returning to the now he looked up to see Sally sent out "Scraggy the shedding Pokemon. Proud of its sturdy skull, it suddenly head butts everything, but its weight makes it unstable, too." Fighting was weak to flying so this was a perfect move.

The last Pokemon that Sally was using was "Ducklett the water bird Pokemon. When attacked, it uses its feathers to splash water, escaping under cover of the spray." A blast of high speed winds knocked Ducklett back. Bubble beam didn't do much as a second hurricane knocked Ducklett out and earned Simon a win. Thanking Sally for the battle Simon saw that all four of his friends leveled up at least once thanks to that battle.

Before it reached Noivern he used a boom blast to knock the charge off. Continuing on the charge it struck his flying Pokemon. Noivern shook off the attack and used another boom blast attack to knock the Pokemon back.

Out of the ground Diglett came out of the ground cheering on Noivern as Simon healed him up. Returning both Pokemon Simon hurried to the Pokecenter to look up a flying Pokemon to change out Noivern with despite how much he didn't want to. There was Golurk who was also on the higher end of levels but Simon wished for a duel type Pokemon with flying moves. There was Vullaby but she was super low level and Simon really wanted to have three Pokemon that can take on stronger Pokemon and three to train with the rocks training right now. He could always train Charmeleon up to Charizard for a flying fire Pokemon since he was missing fire right now on his team. Simon could also search for a Swablu which could evolve into a powerful dragon Pokemon, Altaria and another Pokemon who had a Mega Stone somewhere out there. Taking a seat on one of the benches he sighed and sat back deep in thought.

If anything he could also catch a Psyduck as well for another water Pokemon. Standing up he walked over to the vending machines and got a water bottle. Cracking the cap he went outside and sent Noivern out asking if he was okay to travel to a different region. Nodding a few times Simon gave him a side hug, finishing up the water and tossing the bottle into the recycling. Climbing onto Noivern's back they took off.
