 Alice in Wooooooonderland~!The Rose Garden"Oooh, looks like what you're really asking is, 'Will you please kick my a** Kanji?'. Well wish granted, damn it!" The large red and black figure drew back his tile and let loose over his shoulder, flinging it like a baseball at Rednal's face. It was ooooooooon! "'T's time for an a** Whoopin', Tatsumi Style!" Even as the tile twisted in the air back and forth, filling Rednal's vision in a split second, the large and imposing figure crossed the room with a powerful front kick towards the solar plexus of his "Senpai" that he only followed up on by throwing a large superman punch with all the moment of his original belligerent charge. There was a reason people treaded lightly about that... stuff Kanji's been accused of last year, and i-if his senpai couldn't give him the respect he deserved for overcoming it, maybe he needed an a** kicking, right!? "Screw that stupid 'Queen's' orders, I'm gonna teach you a lesson in respect right now!" It seemed he was all fired up, and the only way through this was to fight...or run away. Quote: *Insert battle theme here!*

a**-Whoopin' Tatsumi Style: A three hit combo of Card Elemental Love!! Probably does 1 HP damage per hit. As long as you didn't piss the guy off.

  Rednal Ak'Thias and Iofiel, the Angel of LoveThe... surprisingly soft attack hit Rednal, covered almost instantly by his unnatural healing abilities. For a moment, the only thing in his vision was a blood-red sheen over everything... but that faded as the girl beside him spoke. Right, right... this wasn't serious, this was just a game. Yeesh. He practically had a Pavlovian response to danger at this point, freaking out at the mere possibility something was threatening him or those around him. Maybe he needed to talk to Soji about that. "..."With that, he lightly raised a foot and kicked out at the card soldier's chest. Iofiel's wings weren't out, but if they were, she'd be happily flapping them. "Ah, so this is Philia in this time!" she squee'd. "It's so nice to see when friends love each other!" Anybody with at least a little bit of classical training would know that Philia (obviously a foreign word, even in Japanese) was a reference to the Greek word for love between friends, family, and community, and wasn't to be confused with romantic love.
Kanji prooooooobably didn't have that kind of training. On the other hand, Iofiel was the Angel of Love and Beauty. All love.

Alice in Wooooooonderland~!The Rose GardenThe foot connected with the center of Kanji's chest, and for a moment there was silence as he looked down in disbelief...then raised his head to glare at the dead meat. "YOU WANT SOME!?" Kanji shouted as a comic bubble practically appeared above his head to emphasis the seriousness of his situation, only to rear back with his tile (which he'd caught after it bounced off Rednal), and...stomp on the ground, sending a shockwave out that'd knock Rednal on his butt if he weren't careful. And THEN he threw the tile at his face again, because, GAWDAMNIT STOP LOOKING AT HIM ALREADY. He didn't ask to be in this costume! "'YOU WANT SOME!? YOU WANT SOME, YOU WANT SOME, YOU WANT SOME!?"Kanji continued to shout as he stomped the earth, sending shockwave after shockwave at his foe which might do more damage now that he was on the ground. This definitely looked incredibly fiercesome! Like a WWE wrestling match that went off without a hitch. And the fighting in those was definitely real, right? Quote: *Insert battle theme here!*

Act based on that.Thank you, voice in my head.Look, he wasn't Irish, so he didn't have the Zaford accent. "Um... would you mind stepping back a bit?" Rednal asked, smiling at Iofiel. She blinked a few times, then nodded and took several steps back as Rednal closed with Kanji, enduring the surprisingly impressive shockwaves he was flinging out. That was when the title crashed full into Rednal's face, and he staggered back a little, blood dripping down from his nose after the impact. "Daddy!" Iofiel burst out, rushing over to him. She looked down at him for just a moment before whirling around and putting her hands on her hips as she faced down Kanji. "That's not funny, and you stop it right now." she said, glaring at him. Iofiel almost never got mad - 'almost' being the operating term here. She knew wrong things when she saw them, though, and didn't hesitate at all to march over to Kanji and give him a piece of her mind. "What would your mother say if she saw you hurting your friends, huh!? That poor woman!"

The Card Soldier shouted, clearly thrown off a bit by Iofiel's...Iofiel-ness. If it weren't for the ridiculous costume he was wearing, which they definitely needed to forget already!!, then he probably wouldn't feel the need to crush these two's heads like a tomato can in the first place. As it was, Kanji reached to the side and pulled a tile off the wall this time, holding it up as he prepared to attack again...and on the side they could see of it, and he couldn't, it read 'Love and Peace!'. Ironiiiic. "'It's time to PUUUT...YOUU...DOOOOWWWNNN!" Kanji reeled backwards, and suddenly a blue glow surrounded him as the number on his card body...a 7...began to change to 8, an addition heart appearing as the symbols shifted around. Was he powering up? The appearance of Take-Mikazuchi hinted at yes, as lightning gathered around his weapon and then shot out at Rednal, bouncing off walls and the water which was kind of obviously conductive, before gathering in at his intended target from all angles. Yeah, this was totally staged. Quote: *Insert battle theme here!*

 Rednal Ak'Thias and Iofiel, the Angel of LoveI'm going to yell at you later. Rednal said, gritting his teeth as a bolt of lightning struck him. Did... did Kanji actually not remember how Rednal usually acted when his friends attacked him out of nowhere? Hope for the best, plan for the worst, beat them down and apologize later if he was wrong... but on the other hand, at least the wild man hadn't hit Iofiel. Rednal... honestly wasn't sure he could have restrained himself in that scenario. He exhaled sharply. "Sorry. I know we're hungry, but this'll just take a sec." he said, reaching into something he'd sewn into one sleeve. When his hand reappeared, he was wearing a single green ring that he pointed at Kanji, and a fist made of green light shot out of it and straight towards Kanji's face. Iofiel watched with narrowed eyes. She didn't understand what was going on here, but... if her daddy was fighting in front of her, she was going to help him! "Let's do... this!" she said, sending a surge of energy through both of them.Quote: Rednal: -Green Power Ring: High Wind Damage because of my FIST. "Calm down, it's only natural...meow..."It was safe to say that things were definitely getting out of hand in the Alice-in-Wonderland Cosplay Cafe booth...perhaps because nobody had expected anyone to make it this far in without getting bored or lost and taking the emergency exit out, Kanji had been talked into performing the role of Card Soldiers in an outfit that was less than flattering (or very flattering if you were into that sort of thing). And confronted with one of his friends on the Investigation Team while dressed in such flamboyant garb, he had clearly lost his mind entirely and become a threat to tear down the entire school with his blinding, Czechoslovakian-slaughtering rage. Rednal's paltry Green Ring would offer nary a sliver of resistance in the face of such an impossible typhoon of power, rage, and shame...there was but a single hope if poor Ak'Thias and his fallen angel daughter from the days of future past wanted to escape this shop alive. They needed a miracle, a savior, a...
"Calm down!"
...A Soji?...
Literally out of nowhere came the jumping kick that connected with the jaw of the Junior and sent him tumbling into the 'rose' bushes that he had been painting only a few moments prior, feet sticking up in the air twitching as his head remained buried in the flower pot. This, they could only assume, was the end of the assault...but what remained was kind of surprising and...out of place given the theme of the booth? It was a silver-haired young man in a Yasogami High school uniform, his confident profile recognizable immediately as he stood to his full height and turned slowly with a confident smile towards the two who had wandered into the booth. Ashen eyes found Rednal and Io and his face seemed not at all apologetic despite the near-danger they had suffered, instead more...amused/contented/pleased to see them? ...And were those whiskers painted rather haphazardly upon his cheeks? What the Hell was he supposed to be?!
"...Meow."
...Oh god, he wasn't...
"Hey Rednal, I'm the Cheshire Cat...you're almost at the end now, but before you escape Wonderland, you'll need the Queen of Hearts' permission to leave her domain. I'm here to show you the way..."
...Well, at this point could you even complain? Motioning with a hand for the duo to follow he lead them quickly, leaving little time for questioning, towards an ornate door with a huge heart painted in either corner as though it were a playing card itself. Placing his hands upon either side of the double door, he pushed it open wide and trumpets began to play, a red carpet stretching out before them between beautiful rose bushes towards a throne awaiting them at the end of their journey. And upon that throne there was a woman with snow black hair, a haughty expression, and an absolutely gorgeous pink dress that seemed...to be having quite a bit of fun for a character who was notoriously angry in the source material, right? Maybe being a queen suited her after all...
"My dear Queen of Hearts, your humble servant has brought you the trespassers in this Wonderland. You may do with them as you please," he bowed respectfully, smiling widely and clearly enjoying himself despite that he seemed to be getting his roles crossed already...was that on purpose? "And if you don't mind my saying so, I think royalty suits you, Yuki...that is, My Queen. I leave these two to your judgment..." He turned his head over his shoulder and winked confidently at the two before stepping up to the side of the Queen's throne and taking a seat in a chair just below and at the side of her own. He watched and waited for the inevitable confusion and the show to begin...thoroughly amused, now looking much more like the Cheshire Cat he had purported to be from the beginning...

Is that how you do it? snrk -giggles- "The moment the doors opened, her royal highness, the Queen of Hearts, stood from her throne, looking down at the newcomers with a disdainful look. The heart-shaped scepter tapped against glossed lips, a little smile gracing her features. She was visibly having fun...and perhaps, she was taking this role way too seriously.
"Who dares trespass into my domains?!" Her voice boomed, eyes falling on Rednal and Iofiel. "No matter. I care not who you are." She dismissed the matter before anyone could say anything, before onyx gaze fell on Soji. "Ah, my most loyal and dearest friend. The only one doing his job correctly. I thank you. Unlike Kan- I mean, the Card Soldier! Painting my garden the wrong color. The audacity!" The queen walked around the throne, before whirling to face them again. "Speaking of which! My garden is ruined! Was that your work as well, trespassers?"
"I say..." She paused... taking in a deep breath...even if it was darn hard to keep from giggling.
"OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"

"Your Majesty, is such a punishment truly fitting for children?" a young girl's voice called out, and the girl in question - an Alice so perfect for the role even Teddie couldn't compare - stepped out and twirled around. "I ask you to pardon these poor visitors, for surely they are thirsty and famished after their long journey, and so do now know how to behave."
Was... this an intended part of the event? She caught sight of the Cheshire Cat a moment later and clapped with glee. "Oh! A grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life! Dear cat, would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" she asked, moving closer to him as Rednal and Iofiel exchanged uncertain looks.

For a moment, Yukiko seemed to break character, her unsure gaze falling on Soji as someone who wasn't part of the staff appeared before them. This wasn't even part of the script! Was that actually.... No, it couldn't be.
Still, she regained her queenly composure as she cleared her throat, sitting back on her throne. "You don't get to talk unless the Queen addresses you, girl! We are in the middle of a trail. And I've made my decision." Was this a good idea? She was starting to doubt it. "Card Soldier! Take this girl away from my sight now!"
"Now... before your heads roll...Tell me what brought you to Wonderland, you two. Be quick about it... I have a game of croquet to attend to."

We are in the middle of a trail... and we heard that this trail leads to some food that we could use to fill our famished bellies. We came here only to eat and chat, and I think we've done quite enough of the latter already..." Rednal observed. Goodness knew Kanji had already talked far too much, and he was actually somewhat amazed that it took so long to reach the destination in this cafe and get some food. Well, at least they hadn't asked any awkward questions about why he was bringing a girl they'd never seen before to a (hopefully) quiet, private meal... Beside him, Iofiel gave Yukiko her best 'please have mercy on us, oh sovereign one!' face, nodding rapidly. Her stomach gurgled loudly a moment later, adding a bit of emphasis to the point they were trying to make.

"Calm down, it's only natural...meow..."This was quickly going...south? Down? Something like that...
Improvising smoothly, the silver-haired 'Cheshire' raised a hand towards his hair...and then smoothly transitioned it to let the back of his 'paw' brush over the locks instead, his grin growing wider as he tried to play things off as just another part of their show...including, of course, their queen's growing enthusiasm. Rolling his neck, he stood and stepped down in front of the guests and below the Queen, slowly walking back and forth between the two of them as though he were a lawyer moderating an actual trial...but his mirth made it impossible to take him as gravely as all of that. Silver eyes peered over his amused smirk towards the trio before them.
"My, my, what a cute little girl...you must be Alice. I don't remember you being invited to Wonderland, but since you're here, you must know the rules. If you have come this far, then you're in the Queen's domain, and nobody enters or leaves without her permission...except for me, of course," he winked in amusement, reminding all that the 'Cheshire Cat' wasn't entirely bound to the same laws as everyone else...able to move about and disappear at will...before returning his attention to the duo on 'trial', "As for the two of you...take a look at your station; you don't seem to understand the gravity of your situation. Our queen, in her wisdom, has sentenced you to die...there is no escape from that, no matter how hard you plea or how much you cry. A last meal for your parting is all...we can offer no more before your heads fall."
He spun on his heel and bowed low to his queen, winking again...this time conspiratorially to the onyx-haired girl. "My Queen, I shall take the prisoners to prepare for their execution," he assured her with a smirk, "For all of your problems, I am the solution." ...Was he speaking in rhymes now? But he hadn't before...was he improvising a new character trait on the fly? Not sure whether that was impressive or just plain bad. In any case, he whipped back to full height and turned, extending two hands in either direction towards Rednal and his companion as if waiting for them to take either of his arms for themselves. "Now then, grab onto me and close your eyes...don't let go or open them until I say so, or you will be lost foreeever~" he warned, perhaps a reference to whatever weird plane of existence or world the Cat shifted into when he went invisible? Was that what he was doing?
"Also, for a final meal, do you prefer takoyaki or steak?"

Even if this was just a role they had to play, she could see the desperation growing in Rednal's gaze...and she didn't want things to go badly. So when Soji/Chesire Cat intervened and moved to attention to himself, Yukiko couldn't be more grateful. A small smile crossed her lips before she took her role once again, looking down at her friends with an arrogant stare. "Yes, yes. Please take care of th-" Was he talking in rhymes? Did he hear how silly he sounded? "... ... SNRK! AHA HA HA" Giggles and loud laughter erupted as they were lead away from the throne room. There wouldn't be anything stopping her now.

Rednal Ak'Thias and Iofiel, the Angel of Love"Steak, please." the two guests said, following the Cheshire Cat out of the room. Deep within the depths of Rednal's mind, Yidhra was giggling (or was he just imagining her laughter? Did it even matter?), but for now Rednal was just sighing and moving forward. It didn't feel like one of those days, but it was close, and he was more than slightly eager to start eating... and getting some answers to the many questions he had.

The Cheshire Cat
"Calm down, it's only natural...meow..."As the two grabbed onto the arms of the 'Cheshire Cat' and closed their eyes, the slightly-obvious sounds of tables scraping on the floor and footfalls all around them were dimmed suddenly by a weird, Dr. Who-ish, 'TARDIS falling through the void of space' noise. A sort of amused warmth seemed to be radiating from the leader as things began to fall into place, and the duo's journey to the 'last meal' platter came ever-closer. "We're late, we're late...for a very important steak," the Cat hummed lightly to himself, completely unconcerned with how silly it may or may not have sounded, "No time to say 'Hello!', 'Goodbye!', we're late, we're late for steak~"
...Was he mixing up his characters now? Was this just his way of amusing himself in his weird role? What kind of a stand was this?!
"You may now open your eyes!"
...
Finally the weird noise stopped and everything was still around them...and though they didn't seem to have moved by steps at all, their eyes would open to see that the entire room looked completely different! An ornate dining table with many places for diners was laid out before them with two seats pulled out before them, (totally not Junes-brand) steak sizzling on the plate before their very eyes. Warm steam rose from tea at the side of the steak, and the cat stepped back between them and gave them both a very gentle, but purposeful prodding forward.
"My condolences on your sentence. Please enjoy your last meal," the 'Cat' smiled from behind them, his voice fading as though its owner were disappearing..,though if they were to take the time to look he seemed to be merely bending his knees as if trying to shrink out of sight, "Fareweeeell..."
...At last upon all fours, he sprang from the room like a cat through a nearby door. The sound of the lock clicking into place a moment later said that following him any further was probably not possible.
...But at least there was steak, right?
