Private Roleplay

Dear Journal,

Adventuring in the Forest of Endeldarth had been getting not just tiring but really annoying as well! You think I would be able to catch a break and snag a few dragon souls, but no -- not really. Try and try as I might, they would either run away or be too big for me to kill. I think Lifedrinker was getting frustrated as well with all of our losses. Frankly, I don't blame him. To always come back empty-handed can be really difficult on an individual.

Yet, today, things started to look up! I was out in the woods with Lifedrinker, and all of a sudden I saw a shadow overhead. At first, I thought it was a dragon, but then it got attacked. It was then that I realized that it was a khehora -- a firani khehora, no less! Since she was in trouble, I decided to step in, as she looked a bit in over her head. That was when things really started to turn around.

The khehora's name is Naita, and together she and I killed a bunch of different creatures. I lost track of just how many, honestly. I knew there were three ysali dragons, and then a colony of something else, and then tricksters. It all runs together after a while when there is so much carnage.

Long story short: I came back with a HUGE HAUL of stuff, and it was fabulous. I think now things are really going to start turning around for Lifedrinker and I. Soon, we'll be unstoppable together, and no one will want to mess with us. Then we can go hunt down Orderites and get revenge for Twilight. I can't believe they killed him. It's just so...uggh. I really hate Orderites. I can't wait when I can hurt as many of them as I can. That will be a really good day.

Until next time,
Ebalia

Private Roleplay
    ❤ [Stolen in the Dark] - Ebalia x Naita - 2,319 words
In which Ebalia & Naita stumble across a poacher's camp, and steal a khehora egg away from the undeserving man...

Dear Journal,

Naita and I went out for a walk in the Forests of Endeldarth. When we met up, she asked whether or not we would be killing things or just exploring. Surprisingly, I wasn't really feeling like killing anything. I just wanted to explore the area and see if we could find anything that caught our eyes (or lack thereof, in my case). And let me tell you -- did we find something!

She and I managed to stumble across a camp. At first, I thought it was just some regular old Oblivionite camping out in the woods, but then I saw it. Right next to the tent was a khehora egg, and that was when I realized he wasn't just a camper. The man who had fallen asleep, drunk, by the fire was a poacher! And he had taken that egg. Naita was furious, of course, and rightly so. I was angry, too. He probably had planned to either sell the egg or bond it to himself, which wouldn't do at all, in my mind! The khehora inside would need a good and loving home. Someone to take care of it, and not treat it like a slave.

Someone like me.

So I decided I was taking it. The poacher begged me not to, but I didn't care. He didn't get a say in what happened to it, not anymore. Naita demanded to know where he got it, but the man didn't remember. Things didn't turn out too well for him, after that. Now he's a burnt crisp in the charred remains of his campground. My firani friend went on a bit of a rampage after that. She was obviously angry that I wanted to keep it, but...well, I wasn't sure if we'd even find the egg's parents. And if we did, it probably wouldn't end well. They probably think we stole it, when all we would be trying to do is return it.

No -- I wanted to keep it. It was practically fate that we should stumble across it. I don't have a family, and the egg doesn't have a family, so now we have each other. I'm going to take very good care of it, and I won't treat it like a slave, at all. Other magescians probably would, but not me. Khehora and Khehorians make lifelong friends, and I want to have a friend that will stay by me no matter what. Just like I will be for him or her.

I'm going back home for a few days. I need to do a few things. Mostly, I need to go visit Draco and give him the dragon souls I found when I first met Naita. I'm kind of nervous to meet him; he's one of my heroes (though, Twilight will always be my biggest hero). In the meantime, I'm leaving the egg with Naita. It's probably safer with her, since if I took it with me into the city, it'd attract a lot of attention. That's the last thing it or I need.

Until next time,
Ebalia

Private Roleplay: Adventure
    ❤ [Wreckage] - Ebalia x Naita - 2,003 words | Adventure
In which Eba & Naita help a town against Orderite raiders...

Dearest Journal,

Quite a lot has happened recently.

Naita and I helped a village of other Oblivionites from a group of Orderite raiders. They had already done the damage to the town before we got there. So she and I lent our assistance. We made quick work of the raiders, she and I. I was kind of glad for that.

And...in the end....we got a ship.

We also got a few other items, but the ship was the biggest bonus.

Now Naita and I can leave Soudul and sail across the world.

It's quite an exciting prospect!

I'm eager for more adventures.

Until next time,
Ebalia

SOLO ROLEPLAY
An Awesome Haul

Having a ship was nice. It meant freedom! Ebalia couldn’t remember having this much fun since…well, ever. Life in Obsidian City was hard on the streets, and even more so with no family to speak for. In comparison, sailing on the ship with Naita and her newly hatched Orakoi, Hiyuu, seemed almost picturesque. She had found a family again. Not necessarily an Oblivionite family, but hey – in some respects, that was better. Oblivionites were cruel, and in the back of her mind the young girl knew she couldn’t keep their company for very long. The ship provided adventure Ebalia had desperately yearned for, and she was glad for that.

Today was one such adventure. Over the course of their sailing, Naita and Eba had spotted a small island. From their location out at sea, it looked both small and deserted, so why not check it out? Eba was the first to volunteer, and naturally Hiyuu chirped to follow, though she knew the little Ayrala orakoi didn’t know what he was getting into. Despite that fact, his help would be useful, and this way Naita could stay with the ship. So, with a desire to search the island and see what they could find, the ramshackle ship was docked, and the Oblivionite apprentice and her bonded orakoi set out on their way.

“Think we’ll find anything,” Eba mused, walking along a path that was worn from use, but clearly had been abandoned for some time. Beside her, the little khehora just waddled along, purring happily as he walked along next to the Oblivionite. Seeing the orakoi’s response made her unable to stay serious, and she cracked a smile. “I think so, too,” she mused, a determined look on her face. “We’ll find a big haul of treasure, and we’ll bring it back to Naita, and she’ll be proud of us.”

It took some time, but eventually the pair came across a small cave that was hidden off the beaten path. Curious, Ebalia was the first to go inside, not wanting Hiyuu to get hurt if there were traps or anything of that sort. One could never tell with hideaways such as this, and she didn’t want to take any chances. Luckily for the two of them, there was nothing of the sort, and Eba waved in her bonded to follow after the coast was clear.

“Hyuuuu,” the Orakoi murmured in question, his head tilting to the side.

“It’s been abandoned for a while, it seems. No bodies or anything…hmm.”

That was when she saw it. Eyeless sockets fell upon a large chest that was hidden behind cobwebs. Jackpot! Without hesitation, the apprentice pushed her way past the cobwebs and opened the chest. The lock had long-since rusted, so it was no problem getting the thing opened. Inside the chest was a plethora of items: all the books on dark and shadow magic she could think of, a bottled dream, an arrow of courage, a circle of rope, a climber’s kit, and a lockpick set. The young girl couldn’t believe her luck. This wasn’t just a haul; it was an awesome haul.

“C’mon Hiyuu,” she eventually said to her bonded, “let’s drag this back to Naita and show her what we found. She’s going to be so happy!”
