Cyrus made his way into Viridian City, looking around. The coast seemed clear. No one was following him, and he supposed as long as he kept a low profile, he wouldn't be noticed that much. Argo hunkered down own his trainer's shoulder comfortably, making a sound almost like a coo. Time for those promised sardines, and the Wingull knew it. Cyrus went into town, buying a can of sardines; he wasn't going to steal it, so as to not risk drawing unwanted attention to himself. Argo happily gulped down the sardines as Cyrus fed them to him, catching them in mid flight when he tossed them up. The dark haired male couldn't help but grin up at his partner as he snapped up each sardine. Meanwhile, Rita was quite disappointed in the lack of attention to her. She was supposed to be his starter, damn it! "Squirrrrr...." she grumbled, then was suddenly knocked into by some very colorful puffball. "Hm? Alright, Rita. Let's see what you got. Take it down, and I'll catch it. Looks like it could be worth a pretty penny." Cyrus happened to notice from the corner of his eye. The Swirlix started off by faking a cry. Rita narrowed her eyes on the cotton candy pokemon, then swung a glowing tail at it, taking it down quickly. Cyrus threw a ball, and captured the odd pokemon, tucking it away in his bag. "Good job, Rita. Maybe you're stronger than I thought." He commented, tossing her a sardine. Rita flailed as the salty piece of fish hit her face, taking it off with her hands and glaring at her trainer. He could have passed it to her! she ate it all the same, then washed her face with a squirt of water from her mouth.

Another swirlix colored just like the other showed up, looking for a fight. "Alright, Rita. Keep it up." Cyrus said, standing aside to watch his squirtle battle. Rita looked over her shoulder at him with a glare. He was supposed to be giving her orders! She rolled her eyes, then entered the battle, the swirlix yawning at her. Right after, she smacked it with an iron tail, and just like last time, the battle was ended. As if that wasn't enough, another swirlix appeared, apparently angered at the treatment of it's friend. It was a tougher battle, but Rita pulled through another victory. "Hm. Not nearly as bad as i thought you'd be. Good work, Rita. Let's get you healed up." Cyrus commented, bringing the starter to the pokecenter for a quick healing. He had to wonder if that swirlix would still fetch a pretty penny. Just now, he ran into two more... did that mean they might be more common? Oh well. Cyrus was pretty sure that he could still trick some fool into buying this from him for quite a lot.

Argo sat upon his head, watching in slight amusement. Rita was rather annoyed herself at these fairies. Where the heck were all of them coming from? She took out this one with another Iron Tail, sending it fleeing as it was defeated. "Let's get out of here before more of those things show up..." Cyrus grumbled, and Argo squacked in agreement. "Squirt." Rita agreed as they moved on towards the forest.

I gaze around as I enter Viridian City. The route here had been long, long enough to exhaust me and my pokemon. It was a Weedle. Mitsu paled - shocking that he could pale more than he naturally was. There weren't Beedrill in the city, were there!?"Wee~!"It...looked happy to see them. Maybe it wanted to be friends? But....Did Mitsu want a Weedle on the team? Well, they were cute. That was undeniable. Oh, alright. He'd catch it."Alright, Flynn. Let's catch Weedle. Ready?""Char!""Weedle!"Looked like Weedle really wanted to come with him, but it clearly wasn't going down without a fight.
"Start off with Scratch, Flynn!"Flynn's tail flame burst as he rushed forward, striking Weedle with Scratch. That wasn't enough to knock it out, which backfired. Weedle countered immediately after with Poison Sting. Not only did Flynn take damage from the stinger, he was also inflicted with Weedle's poison."Are you alright, Flynn?""Char~."He sounded reassuring, and Mitsu hoped the poison wasn't too bad. Flynn was sent forward to use Scratch again, and this time Weedle went down."Yes~!"Mitsu tossed a Pokéball at it, only to fail that attempt. Not taking that as a conclusion, he used another ball to try and catch it again. Failure."Ah, man....That sucks."
Well, at least Flynn got better. Speaking of Flynn, Mitsu had to get him treated right away. Getting out his ball, he returned the Charmander before rushing to the Pokémon Center. Mitsu handed it over to Nurse Joy so shee could treat Flynn and then waited while she worked.

With Flynn and Rao following, Mitsu continued through the city in search of Pokémon to battle. The two needed to train, and he definitely need more one his team. He doubted he could beat the gyms with just two. Especially weak ones. And, gyms were important."Ch-Char...."Mitsu looked back to see Rao pulling on Flynn's cheek in that old lady way, and he laughed a little. She was certainly a silly one.

The trio stopped their wandering when another Weedle appeared. But, it was nothing like the one from before. This one was aggressive. It seemed eager to fight, and was clearly angry."Charmander!""Wait, Flynn. Let's let Rao battle this one. What do you think, Rao? Can you handle it?""Lass~!"Floating forward, Rao did a rather elegant spin before focusing on the Weedle with a dangerous glare.
Starting off the battle was Weedle, who immediately struck with Poison Sting. Mitsu panicked, expecting it to turn out like the battle with the previous Weedle, but it missed. Well, it hit, but Rao spun and the stinger flew right through her body. It nearly hit Flynn, but he jumped away before it could."Alright. Use Powder Snow, Rao!"Focused on the Weedle, Rao sent a flurry of snowflakes at the Bug-type. It didn't have the effect Mitsu wanted. Weedle didn't freeze. Which allowed it to counter with another Poison Sting. This time, though, it hit Rao. Even though it didn't do significant damage, it did poison her."In the name of....Poison Sting's a nuisance. Let's finish this up with Ice Shard, Rao!"And, that did it. Weedle was bombarded with a small barrage of icy shards and went down.
Mitsu returned Rao immediately. He wanted to get her treated as soon as possible. Turning, he hurried back toards the Pokémon Center with Flynn hitching a ride by hanging from his bag.
