Avonlea spent some time just sitting around doing nothing. Mikhail and Lily were both asleep, but they woke up when Avonlea stretched and stood."Arceus, I feel like mushrooms are going to start growing on me. After a short nap and an awkward wake-up call, Sable watched the station in Pallet Town come into view as the train pulled in. Once it came to a complete stop, the teen carried Jin off the train, looking around a bit. The teen then went off to an area to the side, partially to stay out of the way of the other passengers, but also for a different reason. A reason that required her setting her Zorua down once they had gotten far enough away. The dark type might have been more than willing to stay as a Pokemon during the ride, but it was obvious to his trainer by now that he preferred keeping in an illusionary form.
Once the two were off to the side and the Zorua was out of sight, he built back up his illusion. With a dim flash of purple light, the ball of fluff was gone and in his place was the black-haired teen wearing a black and red outfit."That's better~"the now-disguised Zorua sighed as his tail wagged a bit, then turned his attention to tucking the fluffy appendage up his jacket so that it wouldn't be anywhere near as noticeable."Now we just need to get to where the first badge is. I'd like to say it's the next town over, but the leader in Viridian won't challenge anyone without the other seven badges here. We'll have to pass through there and the forest beyond to hit Pewter."
Sable nodded in agreement as she started to walk away from the station, then halted as a thought struck her. The teen turned her head to look at the dark-haired male, a thoughtful look on her face."Wait... You're a Unova Pokemon, right...? So why do you know about the next couple of cities up ahead?"she asked, frowning a bit as she finished her question. She had let the fact that Jin knew about how the Striaton gym slide since, as a Pokemon from Unova, he had probably at least seen some of the people going in and out of the building. Kanto, on the other hand, seemed a bit out of his reach. Even if he did have enough money for a ticket and could look mostly-human.
Jin had a rather flat expression when his trainer questioned how he had the knowledge he had. He had been hoping the teen wouldn't ask that."Right. Well..."he started as he glanced around, then quickly got a grin as he noticed a couple of people chatting and looking over the two Charmander they had."Ah, hey! Looks like there's a couple other newbies over there! C'mon, let's go say hi~"the excited male had one of the biggest grins Sable had seen on him yet before he turned and jogged towards the two trainers.
"Wait! We're not done here! Jin!"the female trainer called out after her blue-eyed partner, having to quietly cough a couple of times after. At least it was nowhere near as bad as the last handful of times she had been coughing, but it did mean she wasn't going to be having quite the pace the disguised Zorua had. With a tilted frown, the red-haired teen followed after Jin with a brisk walk, obviously losing ground but at least knowing where he was going. Besides, it wasn't like the Zorua was going to ditch her, right? At least, he hadn't so far.

Avonlea smiled a bit at the other's compliment towards Mikhail, and the Charmander loved it, too. He introduced himself as Ezra Schlehuber before introducing his Togetic and Charmander as Trinity and Felix."Avonlea Roselum. This is Mikhail and the small one is Lilith. A pleasure."Ezra was polite young man. It was easy to tell he was curious about her by his stare, but he didn't ask anything. Which made it a bit more embarrassing in a way. The woman looked down as Mikhail approached Felix and gave a cheery greeting."Hi! I'm Mikhail! Do you want to play?"Avonlea looked up when she heard someone shout, and she looked up to a young man with black hair running up to them with a red-haired girl following him slowly."...Friends of yours?"

Jin slowed his pace as he got closer to the two people that were chatting, grinning a bit. The grin looked a bit pained for a moment, though, as he noticed the other two Pokemon with the trainers. A pair of fairy types, one a Flabebe and the other a Togetic, were rather close to their respective trainers. Not exactly the types of Pokemon that the dark type wanted to get too close to, even if they did look friendly. Still, he had already gone over, so the disguised Zorua figured he might as well act like he just wanted to chat for a bit.
Thoughts clattered around in the dark-haired male's head as he considered how best to start up his entry into the conversation. If he just wanted to converse, it wouldn't have been so tricky, but he wanted to make sure he distracted his trainer from the topic she tried to bring up. Getting her flustered seemed to work well enough for that, so he figured he'd take that approach. He couldn't just dive right into the compliments, though, as that'd just make things the wrong kind of awkward. Always tricky.
"Sorry for intruding,"he started once he was close enough to the two trainers that he didn't have to yell. No reason to shout at them if he could avoid it."It's just, I couldn't help but notice the Pokemon the two of you had out. Have either of you been trainers for very long?"He made sure his tone only had curiosity in it. It didn't seem to be too rude of a question, and it was one that could be asked. After all, a Flabebe was the first step in its evolutionary line, while Togetic only evolved from Togepi when it had a strong bond with its trainer. Neither really required that much experience as a trainer to acquire, at least from the disguised Zorua's point of view.
Jin had a bit of a mischeivous smirk as he noticed that Sable had caught up to him, then gave a more normal-looking smile as he looked back at the other two trainers."I didn't mean any offense by it, if I'm wrong. It's just that, I've noticed that it's been a bit of a trend for trainers to start out later in their life these days. Isn't that right, sis?"At his last sentence, the black-haired male turned his head and shot a grin at his trainer, who had just finished walking over to the group. One of these days, once she didn't have to worry about getting a coughing fit every time she shouted or ran, she'd give that bundle of fluff a real chewing-out.
"First, stop calling me sis. We don't even look related."As the teen spoke, Sable put a hand on Jin's shoulder, finding it weird that it felt solid enough under her hand even though she knew that there should be nothing but air there. Then again, she didn't really have too much reason to criticize that, since that little oddity did get her out of a rather tight spot. The redhead then turned to the two trainers Jin had been talking to."Second, I'm sorry if Jin is bothering the two of you. He can be a bit of a handful sometimes."
Jin chuckled a bit at his trainer's apologies, quickly switching to an innocent smile as Sable glared at him."Ah, but Sable! Who wouldn't want to go over and meet either of them? I mean, just look. Jin nodded a bit as the two trainers gave their answers. Apparently they hadn't been at the whole trainer thing long, either, which was good news from his point of view. It meant that Sable'd have someone around her experience level to try and get used to seeing. Sure, the teen seemed to be pretty decent for someone who had only recently started handling Pokemon, but that didn't mean she couldn't learn someone at the same point in their journey as her. It'd be good for the girl.
"Oh well. Had to try,"he replied calmly when the woman called him too young, then froze for a moment when he got a brief explanation on the flower he just complimented. Sable was also a bit stunned, not wanting to contemplate what sort of person would do something like use their patient's eye socket as a flowerpot. Or, worse, picture the various methods that could make such a thing possible.
It didn't take too long, though, for Sable to shake hear head to clear out the unsavory thoughts and be the one to break the silence."I suppose I've heard of stranger things. At least it doesn't appear to be causing you any discomfort, miss,"she said calmly, earning a glance with a raised eyebrow from Jin as she did so. The teen ignored it, though, and simply gave the two trainers a bit of a chuckle. She was at least trying to be friendly.
After his glance, Jin just shrugged, then gave the Togetic a grin when he noticed that it was being held by its trainer. Apparently the other guy didn't want the flying fairy near him, and that was fine by the disguised Zorua. He still felt a bit bad, though."Sorry little guy, I guess your easily-embarrassed friend isn't too comfortable with me right now,"he apologized, giving another chuckle afterwards.
Not exactly sure what else to say, Sable realized that she had no idea who she was even talking to."Uh, so. As you could probably tell from what we said, I'm Sable and the flirty one is Jin."Jin shot his trainer a playful due to what she said, but she ignored him and kept talking."So, who are you? Especially that cute fella hanging around your flower."The pitch of Sable's voice rose a bit when she referred to the Flabebe that was so attached to the flower growing out of the white-haired woman's eye socket. As it did so, however, the voice sounded a bit rough, like something was a bit damaged, and the teen quickly placed a hand over her mouth and cleared her throat after speaking.

Avonlea's assurances about the person that planted the flower in her head did not do much to ease Sable's suspicions, but she was willing to let it go. It didn't seem like it was harming the woman, and it wasn't like the person was complaining about it, either. So, instead of fretting too much more about the awkwardly-positioned plant, the teen smiled as the woman introduced herself and her Pokemon."It's nice to meet all of you,"she said once Avonlea and Ezra both finished their introductions, a rough-sounding giggle leaving her as the Flabebe got unbalanced when it waved.
With a concerned look crossing his face, Jin handed the canteen he still carried over to Sable. As the red-haired teen gave him a brief word of thanks and took a few sips from the container, the disguised Zorua turned to offer an apologetic smile to Ezra and Trinity."My apologies to the little lady for the mistake, then, but I'd say it's better to take the likely odds and be wrong than try to find out in a more direct fashion and come off as rude."The dark-haired male gave a bit of a chuckle as he finished speaking, not too worried about the pair of Charmander that had been curious about him. As long as they didn't grab his tail out from under the back of his jacket and start yanking on it or start attacking him, he knew he didn't have anything to be concerned about.
With another smile, Jin glanced around a bit before looking back at Sable."You know, sis, it probably wouldn't hurt to introduce them to some of your Pokemon,"he suggested, earning an annoyed glance from the teen due to using that same nickname that she kept telling him not to use. Still, the teen nodded before unclipping two of the balls on her belt. She noticed that Jin's had disappeared, though, and almost panicked until she spotted a ball on the dark-haired teen's belt.
Letting out a slow breath, more to calm down from thinking she had lost the Zorua's ball than anything else, Sable let out the two Pokemon that were in the balls she unclipped. With a bit of light, the red-haired teen's uniquely-colored Snivy and Roselia were out and looking around a bit."I'd let out the other two, but they're a bit more mischievous than I'd be able to handle at the moment. Anyway, the Roselia is named... Well, Rose, and I'm still not sure what this Snivy wants to be called yet,"the teen explained, with Rose waving one of her rose hands much in the way that a normal person would wave their hand to say hello while the Snivy crossed his stubby arms and looking the two trainers and the Pokemon they had with them over.
While the Snivy evaluated the two trainers, Jin glanced around again and gave another smile to the group."Did either of you have any plans? We were thinking of heading up to Pewter after a while to see about challenging the gym leader. Well, for her to, anyway."At this point, Jin jutted a thumb in Sable's direction, then chuckled."I'm not much for battling, so it's just easier for me to get around if I tag along with someone who is able to take on gyms. Anyway, what about you two?"

Sable suddenly let out two of her Pokémon; two oddly-colored ones. A red and golden rod Snivy and a Roselia that seemed to be very anti-Valentine. It was cute. Both of them."Huh....He's a bit rude, isn't he? Mikhail, if you ever act like that, you can expect PokéBall arrest.""Char...!"Good. Since she got that across, Avonlea turned her attention to Jin after returning Rose's wave. Plans? The only plans she had was to train. She wasn't even going to consider the gyms until she was confident her team could take them."I'll eventually challenge the gyms, but I think we have a lot of training to do until then.
