Alexa could only watch and cheer Vincent on. She hoped the confusion would end soon. Otherwise this battle would be over very quickly.

Vincent was still trying to figure out where Comet was. He got hit with water again and turned around. He lunged for Comet trying to get him to stop moving. This time he was a little too late and missed. Only difference is he gained his footing before hurting himself.

Spinel frowned and blew a raspberry at Vincent when he didn't hurt himself again. Lyle barely paid his cheeky pokemon any attention and stayed focused on the battle. It seemed like it'd be hard for Vincent to turn this around now, but anything could happen.

Comet didn't let the commentary from the peanut gallery distract him, either. He kept moving in order to be harder to target, and kept firing of watery blasts.

The confusion finally passed as Vincent got blasted with water. He stumbled back and panted for a moment. He was getting tired and his opponent was as fresh as could be. He growled softly and then raced towards Comet. If he could make him stop moving or the Floatzel missed a few times would help.

Finally Vincent snapped out of it, since he stopped stumbling around. Comet tried to keep dodging him, but he wasn't fast enough and got chomped. Electricity coursed through him and made his legs twitch and wobble. He tried to take aim and fire off another attack anyway.

Vincent danced back after biting the Floatzel. He circled around and was about to attack when his opponent moved. Soon he was hit with one last attack. Exhausted he fell down.

Alexa sighed softly to herself and pulled out Vincent's pokeball. She recalled him and whispered words of thanks and encouragement. Looking up she smiled weakly at Lyle. "Good job! I just have no luck against you." She called out walking over. She held out her hand to shake hands with him. "Good luck with your next match Lyle." She said before heading out to get Vincent healed.

Lyle whooped and punched a fist in the air when Vincent finally went down. He won! "Great job, Comet! You were awesome!" he called. His pokemon shook himself all over to limber up his muscles again, then bounded back to his trainer.

When Alexa came over to shake hands, Lyle did so with a smile. "Thanks! Good luck to you too," he responded. Then he headed off to wait for his next match. And give Comet lots of hugs, of course.
