Chailee could feel the rumble of his laughter in his chest and knew that it was at her expense. She doubted it was malicious in any way but it still made her uncomfortable to know that he had most certainly seen her reddened face.

What vigilante saves a girl from being attacked by a strange monster? Chailee glanced up at Chaonis a few times as they walked. She tried to decipher what age he might be or if she had seen him before but she couldn't really pin point anything. She certainly had never seen him before that she remembered and age wise...well...he could be anywhere from 18 to 21 she figured. Not very helpful information.

As they came close to her house after a fairly quiet walk back she was relieved to be put back on the ground. Her ankle protested the weight but the pain seemed less severe than it had originally been. She adjusted her bag to put the weight onto her good side.

That's an interesting name. It's probably his alter-ego superhero name

"Thank you again for helping me, Chaonis." She smiled sheepishly as she looked up at him. "I'll make sure to be a bit more careful. Hopefully there won't be any saving me again." She laughed and waved to him before turning and making her way carefully up the sidewalk and to her house.

Inside both of her parents awaited her, worried that she had taken so long. She made up a story about what had happened. Keeping the tale benign. After all, she had been asked to keep it all quiet.

And she wasn't about to go against her saviors wishes.
