Someone was rolling on a cart. Whoop de doo. Sighing silently, Milieu was preparing to move when Stryke called out to her. Stryke? Turning on heel, she blinked and found a tiny smile in her dim range of emotions.
Walking over, she wrapped the young child in a hug and then pulled away, taking her board out and writing on it quickly, | Stryke! I haven't seen you in so very long... Thank you. I'm doing all right. Do you have a team, dear? |

For a fleeting moment he'd been half certain she was going to walk away, but her head turn and recognition on her face was met with a sigh of relief from Stryke. Miliue seemed distracted, but she at least had stopped for him.
The hug made him squirm a bit, but instead of yelling, or shoving her as was his initial thought; he instead awkwardly held her, patting at her shoulder as he bared the physical contact.
Stryke watched her write, eyes scanning the teal letters scrawled out.
"hello miliue, it has been a very long time.." He frowned, only slightly as he shook his head at her next part of her sentence. Stryke knew on some levels she was likely just saying the alright bit for his benefit, but he didn't fuss her. "i'm glad your okay. no i don't actually have a team..i've been wandering around by myself. do you?" he looked at her with a fleeting hopeful expression, as much as he hated to admit it, he wanted to feel like he belonged somewhere...preferably with trolls that wanted him around. Even if he'd been welcomed into the Initiative during the meeting, it was easy to feel left out.

Nodding, the wiped off the words and began on a new message, | Then we should work together! I'm eager to talk more with you. As for our third, I have a friend named Lune who we might run into. I've been looking for him. | She made sure to not write his full name down, having learned at the water reclamation factory hat doing so was rather inappropriate.
While Milieu was still sad, she was able to function a bit more knowing that someone needed her. Her needy nature shone through as she smiled at him warmly. Children were precious, after all.

"i would like that very much thank you..! i'd be glad to speak with you more, and read your words aye." Stryke answered her with a sense of earnest agreement, glad for the company. "we'll find him i'm sure, in the mean time i will accompany you regardless of course." While they hadn't spent a great deal of time together, in a sense he considered the teal-friend like.
Especially knowing with such a simple gesture he'd gotten her to smile. That alone was enough to forgive her hugging him. Briefly introducing his lusus, he hopped off the table glancing up at her. "we should do some investigating then perhaps? i'm sure you'll see your friend soon." he asked softly, chuckling in consideration.

The next night has begun. All teams stamina is restored back to 2 points, (with the exception of bonus stamina, which rolls over to the next day if it haven't been used!)

Your Roll: Despite fiddling with a file cabinet in the corner for several minutes, you couldn't get the bottom drawer open. You give it a kick of frustration, and someone nearby points out that you need to completely close the top drawer before other will open. Oops...

They just needed to be a bit more thorough, Zeffer had decided that evening on the fifth night of the investigation. They had certainly dug up a lot of useful information, but the blueblood was having trouble lining up any sort of believable accusation. After going over their discoveries, the three had set out again to continue their snooping. "We didn't really spend much time in here, y'know? We should give it one more quick look." He knew he wouldn't have to work too hard to appeal to Aprife, as he tried to be the unofficial 'leader' of the team.
Once they'd reached the cavern, he fanned out to poke around the cabinets and chests again. His wandering drew him toward the back of the room, where some roots were growing up out of the floor. With a huff, he toed at them before moving on, eyes combing the area for clues.

"Sounds like a plan," Aprife had to agree, while they'd started in here, he had even been just a bit eager to discover new places and see what the rest of the base had to offer. Returning here now had been a no brainer when he really thought about it, they hadn't been as thorough in their search and he was sure there was plenty more to find here before the whole investigation was through. For a moment he watched his teammates, but he wouldn't be doing them any good by standing around, not really. Time to put his intuition to good use.

Off in the corner of the cavern you spot someone apparently fiddling with something, but from back here you can't see what. As you make your way towards them, you accidentally bump into another troll, who's quick to give you a too friendly pat on the back and a hearty apology. Should you try to get some info out of them? What will you ask?A. What are you doing here? B. Did you see that troll over there? C. Have you seen anyone suspicious in here lately?

"Suspicious?" They consider this for a moment, but shake their head. "No one suspicious. I mean, no one who isn't supposed to be here." Shrugging, they start to walk off. "I've seen Poutzi in here a lot lately, but she's still off in Chittentown a lot more than on base."
