Tommy was, actually, becoming quite proficient in the art of stringing both of his gauntlets quite quickly and smoothly. All it took was a quick draw back with a finger on his opposite hand and the string was held in place on it's own until he pushed on the trigger in his palm, after all. He might have argued that a bow was actually more cumbersome, as it required a constant pull back on the string, while his did not. She fired, and dashed away, and Thomas followed, no longer subtly moving towards her but instead running towards her full speed. Unfortunately, this meant that he was spending more time closing the ground between them then actually firing his weapon. "Really? That sounds delightful." He grinned. "Perhaps I shall have a look for myself when we have finished here." It was hard to tell if he was being serious or teasing her when it came to the "delightful" comment. HP: 27 Damage: 0

If Claudia Morgan was a more friendly person, she would have jested that maybe Tommy shouldn't go down to the beach to see tentacles, because he was half-Asian, and you know. Claudia Morgan was not a more friendly person though, so instead she didn't say anything. Instead she spent her time running away from him as he came at her at full speed, and tried firing a shot back. She missed. HP: 14 / 40

It didn't seem like Claude was really one of many words, so Tommy took pause in his conversing to concentrate more on the task at hand, which was to finally close the distance between the two of them. He had a crossbow aimed straight at her chest as if to fire, even while running towards her, but instead of actually shooting he suddenly lunged, pushing off of the ground with one foot in an attempt to finally be near enough to swing with his other fist instead, the sharp claws that jutted out from his knuckles aiming to connect with her torso. And then he fired a bolt, point blank. HP: 27 Damage: 4

Claude had preemptively braced for another incoming shot as he closed the distance between them. The actual swing at her torso came as a surprise, when it honestly shouldn't have. She made note to not let that catch her off guard again. That was a rather nice move though...a physical attacking followed up with a shot. She staggered under the hit, and since he was right there, she returned the favor and pistol whipped him. HP: 10 / 40

Being on the receiving end of a pistol whip was not exactly a pleasant experience, despite a shield that absorbed much of the blow, making it much less painful then it might have been. Tommy still reeled back slightly, taken quite off guard by the attack, though he was soon letting out a bark of laughter. With one gauntlets string undone and the other notched, he did not feel he really had a moment to waste on rectifying the situation so that both were notched once more. Instead, he ducked in again before she could back away, swinging in an upwards strike with one fist towards her stomach, while the other quickly followed in a punch aimed for her collar bone. At least this time he didn't shoot her once his fist connected. No, he appeared to be saving that bolt for later. HP: 24 Damage: 8

Of course, this was what she got for sticking close. Two solid punches. The first one knocked the air out of her, and the second one had her staggering back. Claude gasped, trying to take a breath as she caught herself from falling flat on the ground. Her shield felt like it was in the verge of breaking, and since it was close, she didn't bother trying to keep the distance between them anymore. Instead she charged him, and reached out, jamming her pistol against his ribs before she pulled the trigger. HP: 2 / 40

Thomas, predictably, staggered back, the impact of the blow to his ribs at point blank to great to do otherwise. As he staggered and struggled to keep himself from falling down entirely, his yet to be used strung crossbow was lifted, and shot, though rather haphazardly as he was slightly more focused on not landing on his a** on the ground. When he was able to straighten up, he flashed her a grin. "Nice one!" HP: 15 Damage: 2

That did it. Just enough force to break her shield. As soon as her shield dissipated, Claude dismissed her pistol, the weapon returning to it's ringed form on a finger. "Not as nice as your performance this spar." She replied simply, her gaze lidding as she lifted a hand in a small wave. "Thanks."

The physical exertion of it all was enough to leave Tommy tired, though not exhausted, and as he managed to straighten back up, it was with a large grin on his face. "Finished, so soon?" He asked, chest only barely heaving. A work out, certainly, but not enough to leave him completely wiped. "Very well, bella. I hope you have a good day." He gave her another small bow, his weapon still summoned. "I think I will stay here and practice some more. A performance can always be improved upon."
