"Ah." she suddenly remembered that thing about Roch and Amphi again. "And I guess it'll be a little tough with him too - you won't be bring him to the wedding would you?" she glanced at Cisco. Edel wasn't sure if Roch was up for a lot of explaining at the wedding. "Oh Roch, be careful dealing with ghouls will you?" she sighed disapprovingly.
Edel paused to listen to little Cisco tap out a little rhythm, smiling and nodding at Roch. "In a few years he'd be stealing your thunder hm?"

"You kiddin?" he asked, "He already is--he's a million times cuter," he declares with amusement. "An' I'll be fine, I'll probably pick a pal to take with me. Someone that doesn't just assume that goin' to a weddin' with me means it'll be our weddin' next."
He looked a bit bothered by that very idea.
Abruptly Cisco decided he was bored and that the new lady was bored, so he held out his arms to her, waving them to get attention. "M'tuck," he declared seriously.

Edel gave Roch a meaningful stare before her attention was drawn away to Cisco.
"You're stuck?" she asked the boil, blinking at him. He seemed fine... maybe he just wanted to be carried? There was a moment of hesitance before the ghoul bent down to pick the boil up and place him on his feet on the ground.
A disconcerted look was shot at his dad, the frost demon clearly not knowing what to do.

Cisco walked over to her, leaning against her dress and grinning up at her.
"He wants held," Roch said, looking amused. "He's never met a stranger, at least that's what he's decided. No idea where he gets it from," he lied cheerfully. "He pulls the 'I'm stuck' trick when he's bored and wants you t'play with him. An' when he wants you distracted he goes 'What's that? Who's that? What's that?' and points at random stuff."
Cisco was still looking completely innocent and ornery all at the same time.
"We should get going, though," Roch said. "Since y'got work and so do I. But I'll stop by again, okay?"

"H-Hah I don't know scarelings that well Roch," she admitted, a blush spreading across her face as she melted at Cisco's cuteness, "I didn't have any younger siblings..."
Edel crouched down, tempted to pick the boil up again but refraining from doing so once she remembered she was a frost demon - didn't want the scareling catching a cold now...
Hnn, she whined. A small animated dragon ice sculpture would have to take her place playing with him, chasing him around the courtyard.
"Oh, please do!" she called, finally returning Cisco to his daddy. "But give me some notice before that - wouldn't want the guards throwing you out again," she laughed.
"Roch." she paused, looking at him in the eye. "You'll be a great dad okay?"

Cisco was still giggling as Roch picked him up. "I'll try my best," Roch said, pulling the little boil's head closer to kiss his temple. "But everyone thinks he's gonna be a lot like me--I ain't gonna swear I'm up t'dealin' with another me when he's a teenager," he admits. "I was a handful. But I'll try."
He reached out, tugging the demon into a hug and completely ignoring the cold. He did keep Cisco away, though. "Thanks, Edel."

Edel returned the warm hug, though keeping the contact brief. "You've got friends to count on you know? Danny and Rikki too." She paused for a moment, her imagination wandering off to picture Cisco with mini Dannys and Rikkis as playmates.
"Stay safe." The ghoul knew he knew what she meant. It's been a while since Roch had left Amityville, but things were still dangerous as ever. She didn't know how long this peaceful lull since the last event would last, though she was entirely thankful for it. "I'll see you again, and you too young one!"
