"Has an appetite like his dad," Seiji teased, offering a sharp toothed grin up to the boil. He knew damn well Roch could keep up with the likes of Nahm and the ghost himself, and that was quite the accomplishment. "I can call Junko and have her meet us down there, if that's cool?" He doubted it'd be a problem, was even pulling his phone out of his pocket as he got to his feet with Cisco held secure with one arm.

"It's cool, yeah, but before you do that... can I ask y'something?" Roch said, holding up a hand to stop the other boil. "What happened? Or is it too personal? You two were broke up last I saw you, right? You were datin' someone else. How'd you get back together with her?" Then he had to add--"Not that I got ANY plans on hooking up with either of my exes, so don't think that. I'm just curious. Which is why you probably shouldn't answer that, huh?" he adds almost to himself as he picks Cisco up and sets him on his hip in an unconscious move. "Hell, I haven't even told you the story about Cisco--I don't deserve t'know, huh?"

He paused with his finger hovering over the call button on his phone, brow rising curiously as Roch told him to wait. Then, as the question came, the ghost reclaimed his stool and set Cisco back on his lap, phone held loosely in one hand for the moment. "Well," he started, rubbing the edge of his thumb along the side of his phone, gaze down on the little boil on his lap. "Sarias and I sort of just drifted apart after a while. She's a little nuts, you know that, and her mind..." Shoulders popped in a small shrug. "Anyways." The phone was set on the snare drum, and he held his hand out for cisco's much smaller one to smack into his palm. "I ran into Junko at the end of spring as she was coming home from her trip to the human world. Helped her carry her luggage back to her apartment, we got to talking." His head tilted, but his gaze was still down cast. "I still had feelings for her, she still had them for me. One thing led to another and we kissed. Then everything just sort of fell into place." Another shrug, but he looked up now, smiling. "I proposed for the second time during the big dance at the end of the summer. It just felt right."

Roch was silent as he thought about what the ghost had just said. There was a slight frown on his face, which turned into a dry little grin. "I ain't gonna lie," he said finally, "I'm a little jealous. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm happy for you. It's cool and all that you still had somethin--but I had more issues than just gettin' dumped, or other ghouls," he admitted, looking out the window for a moment. "His ma--" he starts out, looking at Cisco, "she was a Valk lookin' for an heiress. She wanted a daughter just like her, and she wanted me as just a--a donor. It didn't work out how she planned, so she dumped him on me. My ma, she was a demon, she wanted alcohol. When she ran out, she dumped me on my Pop. It's a runnin' theme with me, bro. When the ghoul doesn't get what she wants, I'm the one that gets the shaft. I don't want Cisco to wind up like that." He let out a heavy sigh and squared his shoulders finally. "That's why, if y'don't mind, I'd like t' bring Cisco over once in a while when you're married and I'm in town. I want him growin' up thinkin' that a ma and a pop can actually work."

Seiji fell quiet as Roch explained things, about Cisco's mother. The reaper had been through a lot before he'd gone off on his own, and it didn't seem as if his luck had really changed all that much. He doubted, however, that his friend ever regretted having met the scareling's mother, for his contribution of Fear that had helped to make the child. The way Roch looked at at his son, there was nothing but love there. "Of course I don't mind. Junko won't either. You can bring Cisco around as much as you want. He's always welcome. You both are." The apartment was tiny, there was barely room for the two love birds, let alone for a baby and another full grown adult, but the offer still stood. They could make things work. Roch was one of Seiji's best friends, possibly at the top of the list, he'd do anything for the other boil.

"I appreciate it, man," Roch said, offering a fist to bump. "I figure sooner or later you'll have scarelings of your own, considerin' how Junko likes Cisco, we can take them t'the park or somethin. I just... thanks," he says again, giving Seiji a grin. "Especially thanks for not givin' me some line about 'you'll find someone.' That one always comes off as so jackin' condescending." He pulled out his phone, checking it. "It's down on Gorey Lane--think she can meet us there? I might call Ren and a couple of other old pals! We can make a party of it!

"Scarelings are definitely in the cards, man." He returned that fist bump, smiling. Honestly, he did think Roch would find someone, but he didn't think it needed to be voiced. The reaper was a good guy, and eventually he'll meet someone that compliments him, that he can be himself with. "J's got baby fever something fierce. It's almost as bad as the wedding fever." Back o his feet again, he hoisted Cisco up in his arm and grabbed his phone, shooting off a couple of texts for Junko to meet them. "Shouldn't be a problem, and yeah. The more the merrier." There were a lot of old pals Seiji hadn't seen in a long time, it'd be nice to catch up.

Roch got on the phone and started texting everyone he could think of-- Well, at least everyone he felt like seeing, that was.
