 Rose knew how Kalen felt. It depended on what magic she was using.
"yeah. I know whatcha mean." she said softly rubbing his chest and shoulders smiling.
"light....dark....if I use either....it drains me....but I can use other magics no problem"

 "Yeh." He said as he shifted around to where he was sitting on the bed facing her with a smile. "I can handle it." He said grinning as he kissed her.

"yes, I know. Sadly darkness is easier than light for me....because of my sister...." she sighed, she seemed sad now.

there is a knock on the door behind it is Macawi in his fox form. he waits for someone to answer the door because he did not want to appear rude.

Rose looked at Kalen and then heard the knocking at the door.
"I'll get it" she said softly to Kalen
She went to the door opening it.
"hello?" she felt a cold chill as she opened the door.

"that is a relief i have found you. let me explain i am the schools new basic magic teacher and the headmaster has told me to make sure to do a good job helping you learn it and i will do just that. i do not give up on my students and i will not give up on you rose. anyways when you have some a moment to spare i would like to teach you some of the basic stuff in advance to see what i will have to work with. i will make sure you learn basic magic i look forward to working with you rose."

"but that was 2 years ago...."
She remembered the time she froze him by accident. Half the academy was frozen.

macawi look at the man "yes he did and the girl with him said she can be a little unfocused don't worry about it i am sure after you are in my class you wont have to take it again. i have had almost everything happen to me magic wise. but i still would like to see what i am working with i believe every student has the power to be great if they want to be and i am not a strict teacher i encourage my students to do their best so you can trust me to make sure you don't have to repeat basic magic again because you will have mastered basic magic when the time is right."

"you don't have to worry about freezing the academy my body absorbs ice because of my arctic fox blood. also i will have measures in place if something were to happen that i cant control. so please why don't you show me some of your skills by using a simple healing spell on me."
