If Gaia updates media panels to allow us to use iframes, we could use their newer player, but for now, it's not an option.

Hi, I was wondering if there were copyright issues with uploading songs through this method? This is the only way for me to have music on my profile that'll look aesthetically pleasing, but am concerned on if I'm violating anything by uploading songs I already own.

Typically sites like kiwi6/etc. will remove copyrighted uploads if the original owner contacts them about it, but otherwise, you should be fine to upload and use any song you want.
There have been recent developments with Billy that make me uncertain about whether or not the player can be used anymore though... Sheepproductions has switched to an HTTPS URL, which doesn't work with Gaia's media field (since that requires HTTP-only). You could try to work around this by using a URL shortener like tinyurl, bitly, etc. but most of those sites are HTTPS as well eue;; I'll be looking into this in the next few weeks when I have some more free time, but in the meantime, if you run into issues, that might be the reason.
