HP : 8.75/27 Attack : +9 Defense : 15 Speed: +3 Dancing Petals: 2/3 +2 speed 2/3 ~~~ Kaalnia takes 14.5 damage Kaalnia Attacks! Needs a 13 to hit 4+9 = 13 10+9= 19/2= 9.5 damage incoming ~~~ Kaalnia, in spite of herself, had been listening, she really had, and so Iroia's attack caught her off guard. She yelped and tried to dive out of the way, only to feel the blades slice at her. ”Yipes!” she exclaimed, bringing her fingers away bloody, ”Well, I'm pretty sure he suspects, but you know... he's not had much luck. Just saying.” she said, a little reluctantly, ”So maybe he's seen ya... clearer than me, likely.” she said, self deprecatingly, ”But maybe he's pretending he's not.” Kaalnia went in for another strike, ”But who knows, I can't read minds neither!” she laughed, ”I'd get bedded a whole lot more, for sure!”

Simple Blades Stats HP || 20 (+3)(+1) = Total Hp: 0/24 Attack || 18 (+3)(+4) = (+7) Defense || 14 (+2)(+1) = (+3) Magic || 6 (+0)(+0) = (+0) Speed || 8 (+0)(+2) = (+2) Iroia choked a bit at Kaa's last comment as she tried to dodge, taking one sacrificial hit from the powerful woman was one thing, taking another when she didn't have much juice left was more stupid then she cared to experience. "So hes not had much luck dating either...I can't see why." Who would be stupid enough to pass that up ...or worse yet break his heart. The thought sent a jolt though her. Well Kaa had just said he didn't have good luck, for her that meant no dates. Perhaps that went for him as well. "Has he uh, tried dating?" So much for her dodge. This was going to hurt. 1+8 = 9Dodge fail! Iroia K.O.

Kaalnia didn't hate winning, but it wasn't a win or lose situation anyway. She helped Iroia get to her back and sat down next to her. ”Sure. He's tried.” she said, with a shrug, ”Look, how interested are you.” she said after a moment, ”In him. Are you really interested in him? Do you like him?”

Iroia blinked her eyes open again when Kaalnia helped her up. "Yes I am interested, interested to the point of distraction, its like there is a mad burning of excited energy, different from my usual surplus, this is like sharper and it messes with my mind. Its new and weird and scary and wonderful all at once!" She leaned her face into her hands and peeked at Kaa. "i'm not one of those girls who dates willy nilly, I don't have the heart for it. One thing at a time." She thought her brain might have been a little divided today, hence her distraction now, not even the apparent zen of battle could steady the odd storm in her head.

”Hmmm...” Kaalnia murmured, studying Iroia. ”Hmmmmm.” she murmured again, longer and deeper and perhaps a little ominous. On the one hand, Iroia was a friend and Kaalnia could tell that Iroia meant it – from her actions in battle just now, anybody with half a brain could see that Iroia was distracted... although apparently this was right at the verge of Kaalnia's ability to notice, something which she acknowledged with some chagrin. She'd have to watch Votzhem and see if he was falling as hard as Iroia was.
And Iroia was falling hard. Harder than a stone off a cliff, or a nut off a tree.
”All right.” she said finally, ”I hear you.” she stretched her arms behind her head, ”So... what, you want me to talk to him? See how interested he is? Or do you want me to help you two get properly set up? Or just sit here and listen? What?” Her expression was unread-ably neutral, her eyes intent on Iroia.

"I think listening would be good, maybe some question answering like have you ever been in a position like this? Oh what am I asking, you are the queen of flirt." Iroia giggled a little and nudged Kaa playfully. "I don't even know if talking about it will help. What was that move you did twice during our battle? It was beautiful. Is it an alkidike thing? Or a spear weilder thing?" When one ran out of what to say, redirect to battle chat yes that worked. She couldn't even look at her relationship dance as a battle..there was too much at stake. Well, if Vosh wasn't interested she would at least know what to expect for her next crush..and if he was then..no don't think to hard you will break your brain. Think of...fungus yes fungus, growing slowly out from the side of an ancient tree.... her face grew a bit placid, this seemed to help slow down the incessent chatter in her brain.

Kaalnia let herself be pushed back slightly by the nudge, but her expression remained unchanged.
Had she ever been in a position like this? Well, no, Kaa couldn't say she had. There had been Tzofi, but that had been different and their whole situation had been different. Even Kaalnia didn't miss the deflection, the change in topic.
”Eh, an Alkidike thing.” she said, offhandedly, ”It's a really neat technique that draws on energy deep within ourselves. It's a handy one, let me tell you...” she continued to stare intently at Iroia.
”Listen.” she said, completely serious. Some people said that she couldn't be serious, but they hadn't seen her when she was. She was capable of it, though it wasn't a side seen often. ”I think it's great you've fallen for that idiot. You might be what he needs. Or not. Hard to say.” her eyes narrowed, ”But... and I'm only going to tell you this once... If you break his heart, I'm not forgiving you.” She stood up and gave Iroia a pat on the shoulder, ”Lemme know when you want yourself a fight or a talk” or a talk fight, she supposed, ”In the meantime...” she started to move away, ”The rest is up to you.”

Kaa had such an eloquent way of describing Vosh that Iroia almost snorted. "There is only one way to find out, and I don't plan on breaking anyone's heart, I have to offer mine." As Kaa walked away, Iroia grabbed her hand, touching her for once. "Thank you Kaa, for what you did for me and what you do for him." Then blushing cause of that somewhat emotional/vulnerable word vomit, she shook her head and headed off.
