They gave her a choice—a fate a hundred times worse than if they were to wrench her mouth open and force it down her throat, because it meant she had to assume responsibility.
One to twenty. Numbers to name each Senshi and Knight under their control. Not a name, not a life story, just a meaningless number among other meaningless numbers. All she had to do was pick one and she would be spared. She could pick a number at random and never know who it was, never have to look into their face and know what she'd done.
Unless she picked wrong, and it was Valhalla or Acrucis who had to bear this ordeal in her place.
She couldn't do that. She couldn't choose a number knowing one of them was her husband, that the others could be her friends. How could she inflict that upon another human being when it was in her power to spare them?
With glistening eyes and a strained, tearful voice, Ganymede looked between the Lieutenant and the Captain and said, “I'll do it.”
It was a simple decision in the end. There was no other answer she could have possibly given that would have allowed her to live with herself after. This was the right choice, she told herself. This was the only choice. The Senshi or Knight who died for this would never know the difference, and all those other lives they could have had... she couldn't think of that. She had to think about the lives being lived now.
She waited for what came next. Would they force it on her? Did they expect her to take it from them and do it on her own?
Swallowing thickly, Ganymede lifted her shaking hands and cupped them in front of her, glowing palms ready to accept her next meal.

The lieutenant knew she was take the starseed, even in his newness among the ranks. This operation, if it yielded any information at all, was they were a strong and mostly loyal bunch, more unified than the information they couldnt give pointed to them being. He sighed and placed the starseed in the willing hand of the eternal which only served to further illuminate the starseed.
The captain frowned and quickly summoned his weapon, which appeared to the the old head of a harpoon and pressed the tip to the eternals heart, still holding her tight with her other hand.
"No funny stuff lovely. Can't have you trying to crush it. If you do, you will die by my hand, here and now. Down the hatch now, like a good girl. Down the hatch or die."
He pressed the weapon more cleanly enough to break the skin, leak a little blood, but not to cause major damage. It was a warning. The lieutenant turned and headed out of the room. "It look like you have this handled. The general wants me to get rid of the body. Maybe we will get to do this again later. There are plently of them that are not talking."
The captain gave a grin before turning a glare on the eternal. "Now lovely."

The shrilling scream of agony that echoed throughout the fun house, their prison, was terrifying enough to penetrate the barrier between the conscious and unconscious worlds. Like the sound of a whip being cracked beside her head Acrucis’ eyes snapped open, startled awake having been forcefully pulled from the blissful darkness that had cocooned her mind for the past several hours, perhaps days as time was not easily measured when kept prisoner. A pathetic whimper escaped her as she tried to sit up ultimately to no avail; which only served to make her light headed from such an abrupt movement. Confused and terrified her eyes scanned the room for a familiar face, anyone to tell her that which she heard was nothing more than an echo of an all-too-real nightmare. Silence lingered for just a moment, save for the echo in her mind that rang just as clear, till a mans voice spoken then ‘feed it to one of the others then get rid of the body.’ The blood in her face drained near completely leaving her complexion a ghostly white as her heart beat a panicked rhythm against her bruised and battered ribs and like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle Acrucis froze. Her eyes snapped to the movement she saw in her peripheral vision and fixated on the form of the general that had been watching over her in Benitoites place while he checked on, 'interrogated', other prisoners. Benitoite... she mentally called out to him near begging him to come back and explain what’s going on. With eyes wide as saucers, she wore an expression that begged a question she dare not ask aloud.

Ganymede trembled with the starseed in her hands. She fumbled it, nearly dropped it, but caught it again, curling her fingers over top to guard it.
It grew brighter upon making contact with her hands. It lived still, waiting to begin a new life now that the old one was ended. Ganymede stared at it and wondered what would have become of it. Who would it have been? Was she making a mistake by doing this? Was this the wrong answer after all?
Yes, it was wrong. Of course it was wrong. There was nothing about this situation that was right, not the attack on the ball or her time spent in captivity after. Not what they'd done to the poor girl who now lied starseedless down the hall. And certainly not what they were making her do, what they would have made someone else do had she any less resolve. What was the point in any of it? Were they really so desperate for information?
For a brief moment Ganymede wondered if it was a result of fear. Were they afraid of what she had become? Were they fearful of others like her? Did they truly believe the Moon Queen would come to take over the Earth?
The harpoon against her chest brought her back to herself. Ganymede flinched away but could move nowhere. The tip pressed into her skin, pricked it until a bead of blood bubbled forth and slid down to her bustier.
The white of it was discolored by grime and filth, stained red in places that had seen the most trauma.
“No funny stuff, lovely,” he said.
“Like a good girl,” he said.
“Down the hatch or die,” he said.
Ganymede's face was wet with tears when she brought the starseed to her mouth. She squeezed her eyes shut. Maybe if she didn't have to see what she was doing, it would be easier. Just open the mouth, pop it in, try not to gag at the thought of it, force it down before she talked herself out of it and decided death was the more preferable option.
She did gag. Three tries it took before she could swallow it. It wrenched a sob from her throat as it went down.
As soon as he was satisfied, the Captain pulled his weapon away and took her by the arm. She didn't struggle this time. He pulled her to her feet, dragged her back to her cage, and threw her inside. Ganymede landed hard on her right shoulder. The impact forced a gasp from her; it took too long for her to regain her breathing.
“Good girl.”
He called her a good girl.
Then he locked the cage, turned on his heel, and left the room.
And Ganymede was alone.I have Kaori's permission to have the Captain leave. Stay tuned for a solo maybe? XD;;;

Whatever was going on outside of the room was hardly any of her business or concern, and for General Mica, it was completely all too easy to get caught up in her work, especially given her patient. Part of her had hoped that Benitoite was merely exaggerating her condition and was allowing his soft heart to rule him on the matter, but even Mica could tell just how grave the situation was and immediately got to work.
It was all a blur, and she wasn't sure how they had managed to sneak everything in so efficiently, nor why neither one of them were questioned for it. Perhaps they figured two generals had the situation under control, and all the better for Mica. She did not look forward to having to explain herself to anyone, especially General-Queen Apatite. That'd be for Benitoite to discuss...
She was monitoring Acrucis situation when the screams carried into the hallway and into the room, and though it hardly bothered her, she could tell it bothered her patient. It was strange, to look at a White Moon senshi and think of them as their patient, but she told Benitoite that she'd try. She seemed to be doing a little better overall, but it was still rocky, even more so now that she went ghastly pale. She could tell she wanted to speak, but she was too frightened, and Mica pushed herself to her feet and all but glided over to her side, ready to check her vitals and administer more medication, if need be. "He's not here, but I can call him if you like. Now settle down, and by grateful the one screaming isn't you."
