It was her birthday tomorrow.
Why this particular piece of information made any sort of sense in this case was beyond Andronicus at the moment. She's finally be legal, that was something to remember. Of course. Yeah. Cause that totally was relavant right now. Andronicus listened quietly to the civilian who held the mask, glancing at the one who'd mentioned about the masks (Chaldene).
"Huh. That must be why I passed out. I had a red one of those," she said, thinking about it. She turned back to the woman (NPC). "Do you know why they were taken?"
Could give them a lead as to why this happened, though Andronicus had a sneaking suspicion it had to do with that future she'd seen.

Mimisbrunnr felt something cold settle in her chest. She hadn't even heard about the Masquerade, being locked in her room coding aggressively in order to finish her project - but she was out now, and people were speaking of "taken friends," and it terrified her. She started shaking, a little bit - what if one of her friends had been taken? What if it was someone she knew, held in the Negaverse's grip?
She had a scar on her stomach to show exactly how brutal they were.
"H-how many were taken?" She asked, slightly desperately. She wanted to ask about her friends, but who did she ask after first? Alexandria, her ancestor's reincarnate brother? Hvergelmir, who had guided her so gently? Mistral, barely able to stand?
Or did she ask if there had been an agent there in black and dark blue, with a facemask and a hood rather like hers, and have her heart broken knowing Fang was still so far from where he belonged?

She looked terribly confused to hear the boy in blue say it was the masks. She thought it was absurd, but after New Years Eve, he was probably right. That didn't make her trust his word, even if she was on a crazy mission at the moment to help them. Her family had attended the event though and she just couldn't imagine if she'd had someone taken from her, blindsided like they had been.
"There was a lot of confusion. I didn't know what to do at first, I sort of just stood in shock. I saw a guy with a purplish, I guess, looking crystal and it spoke to him. It said something about capture, not killing and then something about appetites, but it was hard to hear."
She shuddered slightly slipping the mask into her coat pocket. "He came after me, but I ran. It didn't matter another knocked me out in the servant entrance to the ballroom. He hit me pretty hard, but I don't. I wasn't fully out. Im sorry I didn't see how many they took. A group I think. I'm not sure. Everything is fuzzy after that. Im not even sure the rest of what I heard is reliable, but many ran through the hallway before they sort of disappeared. They had more instructions I think."

Mimis swallowed, feeling panic rise in her chest. She had started carrying Post-Its and pens, ever since she got her signet ring, and now, conveniently, she could reach into the pouch at her hip and pull them out because heyy, storage.
She quickly markered a note on the Post - It.
Alexandria, are you u okay? In the park, hearing people got kidnapped. Will check up on others soon. She colored over her signet symbol, stamped the paper, and sent it off.[Mistress Morbid] u have been summoned, tiny mercury squire

That the civilian stepped back from her made Themiscyra wince a little. She didn't mean to take her anger out on the woman. She hadn't done anything. Better yet, she was actually trying to help them. Before she could ask what sort of information the woman had, one of the senshi (Chaldene) spoke up. "You're positive that's what's doing it? Why the mask?" She nodded to Andro though when she spoke up, recalling how that was the common factor. ******** hell. Yep, never looking at Phantom of the Opera the same way again. Connecting the dots was easy enough and she ran her hands through her hair, cursing a few times before she looked towards a Mercury Squire (Mimisbrunnr).
She still didn't trust Mercury knights too much, but she could have sworn she'd seen this one a few times. Her voice hardened as she gave something of an answer, "Kairatos, Valhalla, Ganymede, Hvergelmir.... I don't know who else was taken, but sounds like it was a good few." She glanced towards Andro, seeking any other information she might have had on the situation. Seeing as Themiscyra had ran away.... nothing she told herself made the sickening sensation in her chest go away on that.
But something the civilian said made her rip her attention back. Not dead? Not dead? "Could you describe the guy with the crystal? Or the crystal itself?" Appetites? The ********? But not dead. Not dead. She glanced around to the others, perking up incredibly so at this new information. This good bit of info. "Could we get back into the hotel? Check around the hallway--the hallway you're talking about is the servant entrance to the ballroom, right?" Themiscyra once again focused on the civilian before she frowned and offered her hand towards the girl, her voice softening. "Please, would you give me the mask? It's hurting you, and I bet you'll be feeling a lot better once it's away from you."

"Yes, that red mask is likely why you had passed out. I know I had a blue one...I got tired but I didn't pass out. But think...when people passed out it was all the same color mask you saw...or the same two. I can remember it so well. it seemed very odd...statistically impossible for that to happen, not to mention how impossible for so many people to pass out." He pointed out while closing his eyes, fiddling with one of his piercings.
"There was a lot of confusion...I remember that." He spoke gently while looking at the pocket where the mask had gone. "You should, if your feeling tired, throw it away. If I'm right and that is what drained peoples energy, and caused so many people to faint, it'll get to you soon enough and your feeding them energy." He didn't want to yell, to shout, but he wished the civilian would get rid of that mask.
"I'm glad you were safe...they took two of our own that I know of. They surrendered themselves...Ganymede and Valhalla. They have them both." He said. His right hand, at his side, formed a tight fist till his knuckles went white. "So I know they took at least two but I'm figuring they took several more...I just don't know who." He whispered and felt miserable thinking of the two missing individuals and wondering how many more had been taken to who knows where.

She nodded, "you can check the hotel if you like, but it might be hard for you to get in. It's closed for repairs and security is really tight. I would not even be able to get you in. I'm not even allowed on ground until I've had my chance to speak with the police. They are interrogating everyone. I have to go tomorrow. They think we had something to do with this all, but I guess someone had to have."
She was beginning to feel very whoozy and so she finally listened to the words of the senshi and removed the mask from her pocket and tossed it to the side. She didn't really feel any better, but they said it was draining her right. It would probably take some time to feel better.
"The guy he looked. He was sort of tall and in darker colored outfit, not like any of yours. And well he looked young. I don't know I think he had on black and red, maybe, or was it burgundy."
"That's probably not helpful. You will likely not find anything in the hallway either. I was pretty out of it, not fully out, but I swear they were disappearing. The said to go to the ffff ..."
Her eyes went wide as saucers and the word on her lips morphed into a screams. She stood wobbly for a moment before she collapsed on her side, a dagger suddenly visible from her back and tears in her eyes.
"Go ... gooo ...," she tried but she lost consciousness before the words could be said. If her pulse was checked it would be found weak and slowing. Maybe she could be saved, but could she give an answer before it was too late.
Looking around there was no energy signature to be found and dagger that had moment before been in the girls back was mysteriously missing. Someone doesn't want the girl talking.

Andronicus caught the girl as she felt, glancing around for who through the knife. "Someone call 911! Someone called that dagger back. She's gunna bleed out if we don't hurry!" Engage defensive mode. Someone knew they'd been here, someone knew she'd talk and got out.
Someone followed her.
"Themi, the rest of you, check the area. There could be more of them." She snarled the words, rage in her voice. Someone had killed a civilian for this. Someone had thought it worth a life to keep quiet.
They were going to pay.

Some things never changed, Sarras told himself, and there never seemed to be a dull moment in Destiny City. Now, more than ever, he was beginning to think that the entire city was inherited by lunatics. There could be no other explanation for it, he told himself, as he could feel a cluster of auras forming in the ever active, never safe in the slightest park. Not that he had any right to speak, but he seriously had to question the sanity of everyone in this wretched city to decide to remain here, despite all of the clear and present danger that seemed to be occurring on a daily basis. He knew his brother was mad, as he constantly dodged his efforts and attempts to get him out of here, and now, he couldn’t get a hold of him… ever since that Masquerade Ball, he had been ignoring his calls, and he hadn’t been at his apartment.
And needless to say, Sarras was very, very, VERY concerned. It hadn’t even been 48 hours yet, had it? He had to wait a bit, get a missing persons report turned in, something…
The events at the park had been a rather nice distraction, at least at first. Sarras had spotted new and familiar faces, but made no effort to approach them, nor did he make his presence known. He stood there, arms crossed, leaning against a tree nearby and merely listening in, taking in as much as he could as well as offering a watch of the area. From his silent eavesdropping, he learned of disappearances, senshi, knights… the name Hvergelmir almost made him expose himself, letting out an angered sigh but just managing to silence it before anyone could spot him. The Negaverse was clearly involved, and their allies missing had to be their doing. He hoped that Richard wasn’t one of them…
This one was offering them so much valuable insight, so it’d be a pity if something were to happen.
Which, it did, of course, and despite his efforts to remain hidden, he found himself cursing when the young lady’s words were cut short, by a knife no less! He pushed himself off of the tree and looked around, trying to see where the knife had come from and equally disgusted when it simply vanished. As Adronicus cried out, he managed to hold his own startled shout to himself, looking around for something, anything, that would have given away their assailant. “Son of a b***h,” he muttered below his breath, trying to control the tempo of his heart and refusing to look at the blood, knowing that he’d be rendered utterly useless if he did. “Never a dull moment. The flare had been there. Chaos, that ******** alarm clanging around her mind. Stronger than her, but her attention on trying to locate the source was cut short by the girl's sudden stop. Stronger than her had been all she'd been able to register from the signature before it vanished, and Themiscyra was moving with Andronicus to the injured civilian. Call 911? Leave it to a senshi with a ******** phone. "Did anyone get a read on that signature?" Captain? General? She hadn't been able to tell. Nor tell where exactly it came from.
"Do any of you have healing magic?" She looked to the various gathered, unsure of who exactly could do what. She'd heard of some who could heal, but did any there count for that? Her mind was racing. How do you even treat a stab wound where the blade was taken out? Her first response was automatic, taking her toga and unwrapping it from herself, pressing the cloth to the girl's injury. But ********... was she just hurting her? Was she making it worse? "Or... ********, know first aid?" She'd met a Pluto knight who was a doctor--wasn't that what he said? She looked around, unable to keep herself from wondering how freaking wonderful it'd be if he could just magically show up now.
Somewhere, a mental note was made. Learn some first aid she could actually apply to the battlefield. She couldn't heal, she didn't know anything about medicine. This was not something she could ignore any more. ******** the Negaverse, ******** the war, ******** the deaths. A question blared in her brain though--was the Negaverse keeping a watch on all the hotel's employees, just in case something like this happened?
Or had this girl been sent out to send them a message?

All of his instincts told him to remain quiet, to keep to himself and only venture out when it was absolutely necessary, but there was something about Themiscyra's cry for a healer that suppressed that desire to hang back. He looked down at the clay cup he carried, still pondering its use but never truly caring to test its usefulness... until now.
"I'm a Cosmos squire," he said, begrudgingly stepping forward and ignoring everyone except for Themiscyra and the injured civilian. He wasn't sure what to expect from either them, nor the Mars knight, but he figured that they wouldn't be foolish to turn down his aid on the account of him being late or 'shy'. He knelt next to the civilian and looked to his cup, trying not to be nervous, trying not to let them see that this was the first time he had ever summoned his magic. He knew how to do it... the vision of his past self had taught him that much, and with a wave of his hands, he whispered the words "Nectar of the Cosmos..."
Water seemed to pool from the bottom of the cup and some of it spilled onto his knees and fabric when he could not stop himself from flinching at the sight. He did have magic after all! He didn't question it, and he hoped others wouldn't as he couldn't give them an answer, and he brought the cup towards the civilian's lips. "Here... this might help. Sorry if it tastes terrible..."Quote: Spell: Nectar of the Cosmos Sarras can channel water in the clay cup, it can be consumed by either Sarras or another person. Unfortunately for Mims, her post it wouldn't go through right away. Because the squire in question was too busy sitting at home. Sulking Over what you may ask? Nothing. He was sitting home to sulk about absolutely nothing.
It wasn't until a post it note literally smacked him in the face did he get out of bed

There were a handful of powered people who knew his name. There were exactly two however that knew his full government name. Rene knew full well this was not Mikhail's handwriting so that meant one thing.

Rene knew he'd regret telling the page his middle name... With a sigh, Rene pulled out his signet and in a matter of seconds, Alexandria replaced Rene. It was that point that the teen was bombarded with sticky notes. At first, Alexandria was confused, until he started reading some of them.

Each one sent him further and further into confusion until he found one that cleared it all up. Unfortunately it also made his heart drop.

He sprung into action writing her a quick note and taking off. It simply said that he was on his way but that he had to stop and get someone first. But not to worry that he was okay.Fortunately this time, Mimis wouldn't have to wait long. "Mimisbrunnr. You can catch me up later. I've got the jist of it from your notes." He said solemnly. "...This is Dionysus. ...We've... been through something like this before."

Watching her toss the mask to the ground he smiled, glad to see it out of her possession and unable to drain her further. As he listened to her words he started to focus on everything she'd said, so he could remember everything. A burgundy uniform and male...tall and young. That could be so many officers, he was sure of it, and he didn't know nor had he ever seen any such officers. "I - I've never seen anyone like that." The senshi of wisps spoke up after a moment, as the words left her mouth so too did the words then leave his.
Of course the hotel would be on lock down, lucky it wasn't like fort knox, and police were calling in every employee for questioning. "I w-wonder if we can get into the hotel...without being in the hotel - physically." he mused to himself and he might have finished had it not been for the knife protruding from the girls back as she landed on the ground.
Jumping back, surprise widening his eyes, he shook and looked around rapidly, like some paranoid. "Someone put pressure on it! Call 911...we need to leave here once she gets help...find somewhere safe to talk." Because she had said enough to at least start them looking. They just needed to sit and talk and compile what they knew so a single database could be compiled and gone through for clues and answers. "We can't lose her." Not when she had risked herself coming to them, kinda sorta, to give them some information. As he took to looking around again he shook his head slowly. "I didn't sense anything...nothing chaos at least...b-but I suppose I was umm..rather busy and focused on her." The last word spoken was accompanied by him motioning to the fallen women with his head.
When his eyes landed on Sarras, whom he remembered, and watched the other work his magic. "Ohhh...I've never seen a knights magic. Well..hopefully that'll help keep her alive till help arrives." Someone was calling for help - right?

Mimisbrunnr wanted to hug Alexandria when she saw him, and when she saw the Senshi with him - because the more people, the better. But there wasn't time for that -- she would have to do something now because this poor woman was bleeding out on the ground. This woman who had risked herself to help them.
"I'm sorry there's not more time but the short version," she said, as she fumbled with her cape, addressing the two of them, "is that the Negaverse has taken people. A lot of people. Ganymede and Valhalla, and others...Hvergelmir," she said the name, and her chest hurt, because no, they couldn't have Hver, why did they have Hver, would she see her next with scars slicing open her face?
She raised her voice, some, pulling down her mask so everyone could hear her. "I was stabbed once -um, run through, with a spear, more accurately - and I can remember what was done to stop me from bleeding out before I got to the hospital. Can - does anyone have a Dark Mirror's name? One carried me through a mirror to the hospital. That's an option if nobody's gonna call for an ambulance -- and it might be quicker." She kneeled next to the woman.
"Hold still, please," she said, carefully balling up her hood and pressing it against the wound. "Keep pressure on it, and it will help stymie the bleeding."

Liryn had been out trying to seek answers to the events that had happened the previous night. He hadn't actually been planning to go to the park at all, had been considering trying to sneak into the hotel to try and find information however the Order signatures had caught his attention.
Which was how he had ended up at the park.
It had led him to the group that had found the woman with the mask and he had listened in uncharacteristic silence as she talked about the Negaverse taking friends knowing that the information was important.
The mention of a crystal was a clue and the word capture was another because although Liryn worried about why the Negaverse had done this and had no idea of what they intended, the word capture suggested that those taken were still alive at least for now.
He heard a voice mention that Valhalla and Ganymede had been taken and recognised the Dark haired super senshi as Chaldene, he'd upgraded the other's phone for him on the last and second meeting.
The names Ganymede and Valhalla were familiar, they were both part of the Black Watch and Athene had mentioned that he had an alliance of sorts with the Jovians, the group they were part off.
The dagger was a shock, cutting off whatever it was the woman had been about to say but members of the assembled group were already springing into action, a red-haired Squire (Sarras) that he recognised as being there the day that Vespa had purifed, even going so far as to use his magic.
He learnt the name of another who had been taken in between hearing that the woman still lived, Hvergelmir.... Hadn't she been at the Black Watch meeting too? Yes she had, she was another Cosmos Squire, one with a pretty dress - he remembered admiring it.
Then a voice was asking if anyone knew of any Dark Mirror senshi, the speaker another Squire, this one of Mercury.
"I do" he trotted into the group, revealing his presence, his normally cheerful voice uncharacteristically serious. "I know one, no make that two" the former he had encountered twice once during that whole ambush thing last year when the Negaverse had attacked the Court with the help of some of the White Moon, the latter was one who he only really knew by name - Ida had mentioned her.
Well okay so he also knew the name Chariklo from those weird future memories that he'd gotten of a future that he knew mustn't come to pass...
He shook his head and looked at the Mercury Squire "Tantalus and Chariklo are the two names" he hesitated and then admitted "But I have no way of contacting either of them."
