Simply starring at the sky with no real thought... although she exchanged words. She was sort of detached, but she was brought back down to earth with his response. Her ear flickered. "Pfft you got that right. Life of the party~ this Pony'Ulaya!" Giving herself a victory fist, her tail happily wagging behind her. Achievements and Egos. Brushing them boosted her confidence in a way most just wouldn't understand. As she paraded in her mind about it, she was stopped by his tone change.
"Ah.." Laying herself down next to him. "I noticed right before falling to a deep sleep. I figured.. You wanted to be alone." Lowering her head and looking up at him. "Everyone needs some alone time, I wouldn't blame yea." Offering him a sincere smile. "No need to apologize but, yea know. If you ever need to talk. I'm here. You may have to tie me down sometimes to get me to listen but I will." Straightening her neck. "I wish I had memories of this kinda thing. We had somethin' similar back home..." Trailing off because of her lack of the friends she missed dearly."New memories are good too though." A soft laugh, but one could tell that it was her masked something beneath.

He was happy and he had to hold back a purr as she settled beside him. Ok maybe it wouldn't be too bad. He gave her another playful nudge, not feeling quite confident enough to nuzzle or cuddle her like he really wanted to. "I appreciate that, Dash. Its nice to have someone to talk to, it's been a long time."
He paused for a bit just enjoying being close to her and watching the morning proceed. When he spoke again it was quiet and thoughtful, "New memories are great, but sometimes we need to work through the old ones to appreciate them or put them in the right perspective. I know it's hard, but I'd like to hear about your home and your friends sometime when you're ready.... After all I need to know more if we're going to go find them right?" He looked at her with an unsure-but-game sort of smile and that glimmer in his eyes as he opened his heart, not revealing so much as the night before but definitely there if she looked...

Her home... She could see in his eyes, welcoming her to speak more freely of herself. To ...even accept her inside his world. For her to share hers with him.. Those memories she'd like to keep locked away. Just so she wasn't tortured but because she asked him to speak. She would do the same.
"How I strayed so far from home. I don't know. Maybe... there was another reason why I came out this far... My home was in a small place. Surrounded with trees that often blew cold weather. My friends. Well. They were my everything. My existence, I relayed on them. I remember one was pale yellow.. with pink hair. That was Fluttershy. But.. Everyone else.. we made the colors of the rainbow almost. But their faces are blurred now when I try to remember them. But I know if I see them. I will know them. I don't know how long I've been in ice. Nor how I honestly got there. There mined jewels..precious ones. We refined them too. Mountains.. surrounded our small home.. " As she spoke, she simple was in some sort of trance. Trying to piece together what she'd seen in dreams and nightmares in order to take from memory what had been real.
"I don't think I'll ever find them again.." Her voice breaking, and her eyes began to water. What seemed to be happy before, now this talk had went and crushed her heart. She looked at Roddy- putting on a strong solid smile. "I want to pretend it will be alright, I know that I'll have to accept it. Someday. So let that someday- be sometime later... and since I can't remember much.. I'll just have to remain alive in yours. As long as its ok with you." Trying so hard to lighten the mood.

He wanted to hold her tight, but he waited listening as she talked her way through her feelings. So she too had lost memories of her past; it wasn't surprising since she'd only just recently come out of her icy forced hibernation. There was so much strength in her to have survived it...
Now was the challenge, moving on and moving forward. As she closed her thoughts, much as he had, trying lighten things up, he pulled her close and nuzzled away her tears.
"You've only just recently reawakened dear heart, time may just brush away some of the fog," he reasurred her. "No matter what happens your friends will always be with you in your heart. Though, I'm not sure I like that competition," he said with a laugh, brushing away the hair that always flopped over her eyes. "It's probably selfish of me, but I want to carry on as we are.... As us, for as long as you want it to be that way."
He looked around at the quiet den at the surroundings and the sun making it's progress into full day. "I feel a little like traveling. But it is cold this winter. Maybe come spring we can travel up into the mountains. I have an acquaintance I'd like you to met." Yes, a trip to see the healer of the heart would be good for both of them... "Tell me Rainbow Dash, have you ever met a draco'ula?"
