I'm not super picky about items. I just like to get myself something every great once in awhile. Otherwise, I choose to try to help others as much as I can afford to do so.
I'm glad that I found this lovely place. I looked through all of the ATS answered questions. I was pretty surprised that nobody had asked yet about the price differences in Buttercup Cafe between Human and Paw items. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch the next ATS so I can ask them about that.

But his efforts allow us to skim through the ATS and skip the BS and just see if they said anything that interests us. I actually have seen some questions before about price differences between human and paw but I didn't pay much attention as I rarely buy anything any more. I don't really recall the answer. I tried to see if I could find it here in the guild posts. In This Post someone asks about the reverse - that paw items are cheaper to craft in Go Fusion than the human avatar versions of the same thing. The answer is about trying to promote the animal bases. I'd swear I also saw a question more in line with the way you asked it but I am not currently finding it and I am tired.

I used to do more charity and contest threads when I had my dolphin tanks going. Got tired of the nerfs and changes to fish and booty grab that I froze my fish and bagged it. Then stuff got so crazy with gold generators and inflation that I didn't want to bother speculating on prices of objects to buy/sell. It took me a looooonnng time (2+ years?) to make my first 100 million gold. It took the first Lake Kindred game event for me to make over 240 Billion gold just from in game drops and selling a few game rewards I did not want. So any more I mostly just sit back and watch. Also, been here since 2007 so I'm kind of jaded on "Oooh! A new shiny!" type advertising by gaia. I was never a gotta have every new item person anyway but the huge number of advertising announcements / new items being pushed jaded me even more. Now I mainly just chat in the forums and sometimes play the games. But I suppose that is the point of having different areas / things to do. Do the the parts you enjoy. smile

I'm usually too busy giving it away because I don't worry about the next big item coming out. Sure, there's some things that I like but I'm in no hurry to get them. I could go without having 10 announcements for 1 thing. lol I chat pretty much wherever someone starts up a conversation with me. 4laugh Mostly, I'm on here doing charity things or playing some games to earn gold for charity and doing a little chatting inbetween. 4laugh

It is just a permanent bubble at the top saying I have 10 announcements. Once in a while one times out and I briefly see it at 9. I've become so accustomed to the bubble I barely see it any more. I found that easier than reading the announcements that are almost always ads to buy stuff with gaia cash. For a while I used to buy MCs every month to help support the site but Gaia has been making such horrible business decisions I stopped. Well, I say horrible. Another take would be cagey like a fox. I believe all of the inflation on Gaia was intentional and that Gaia is pushing users to a pay to win environment. By that I mean that while it is still technically free to be here, with the rampant inflation and the constant flow of new cash shop items a user just about has to spend real money if they want to be in the "cool stuff". Since I personally don't care if my avi is wearing starter clothing I'm not a good candidate for that kind of approach. That and a long history of fails or near fails - Gaia creates things and then abandons them so it's not good to get too emotionally wrapped up in any of their games / stuff.

I don't read the announcements either. I just click through them as quickly as I can. It's not like I'm going to spend any real money on a virtual item. I can't eat virtual things. lol I have a lot of cheap items. If I have anything expensive, it's because either someone gave it to me or I got it really cheap in the mp with earned GC or gold. I wear what I like and don't feel like I need to fit in. Apparently, we feel the same there when it comes to clothing. I know a lot of people were really invested in Zomg. I didn't get much time to play it. It was pretty much the same way with Fishing. About the time that I had time to do either is when they both went away.
