Acrucis now lay on her side with her back facing the two lieutenants. Tears freefalling from tightly squeezed eyes it took she stifled the yelp by holding her breath and clenching her jaw.
If the first two kicks didn’t break something, this last one undoubtedly did. The sharp pain that shot through her entire right side was no less dulled by her stilled breathing and with her arms secured behind her back there was no way for her to check, not that she truly wanted to know.
“Someone” She spoke upon a exhale.
“Anyone,” her lower lip began to tremble. What courage she had but a moment ago was was all but gone save for the little bit to deny him the name of who she was searching for.
Thraen… Phact… I pray you’re anywhere but here..“I don’t… I don’t even know who was there.” Which was actually true for the most part since she had only just arrived maybe 20 minutes before all hell broke loose. Acrucis drew in a slow breath then continued
“I just wanted to help” she paused abruptly as the familiar burning sensation rose up the back of her throat and her stomach churned viciously.
“Hnng” she whimpered, near begging it to go away while her head pounded and room began to tilt heavily to one side
“help get the guests out safely…” The last words spoken before she fell into a fit of coughs that racked her bruised and beaten body in a most painful way.
