"I like Warden."
The firelizard seemed to have her fill not long after. Her belly bulging with meats, she gave a tired yawn. Wanting to make more room for the little flitt, Qyprenna set aside the bucket of meat. It was at that time that the tiny creature moved in, curled up in the girl's lap, and settled in to doze. Well, that wasn't so bad. Not bad, at all!
'Warden is fitting,' Catoth commented, eyeing Warden as she snuggled in to rest. Hatching from an egg could take a lot out of a dragon, so he figured she could use the rest.
Yes, Warden was perfect, Qyprenna decided. Like Catoth, she would be the weyrling's constant companion -- a guardian to watch out for her, less she get herself into trouble. Training her would be a whole other thing, entirely, but she was up for that challenge. She'd cross that bridge when she came to it.

"Humm, Warden." Bereck paused thoughtfully for a moment and then nodded. "Yes, I like that too, a good name." The idea was after all that the little creature would help look out for her, quite literally.
"I can get the eggshell cleaned up for you if you want to keep it," Bereck added after a moment, "I kept the shells from my pair." Sentimental perhaps but there it was. He had a shard of Berath's shell too.

A smile played at her lips when Bereck said he liked her name. It shouldn't matter if he liked it or not, in all honesty, but it did to Qyprenna. He was the one that got Warden's egg for her, after all. It reassured her, in a way, that he approved.
At the mention of egg shells, Qyp looked in Bereck's direction. Her head tilted some at the notion of it, curious but thoughtful. It wasn't something she had ever really thought of, to be honest. Despite that, it was a good idea. The shells had sentimental value, after all. Yes -- yes, she would keep them. It would be something tactile to remember the event by.
"Ok! That sounds good!"

"I'll take care of that for you then," Bereck said with a small nod, setting the shell out of the way for the time being. With that done however he wasn't quite sure what else to do or say, he felt as though perhaps he ought to leave the girl in peace so that she could enjoy her new pet in peace.
"Do you need anything else?" the healer asked after a moment, it was a fair question.

Neither Qyprenna nor Catoth could think of anything else that they needed. The young weyrling would probably want to discuss starting to train the firelizard as soon as possible, though that could be talked about at a later time. Right now, all the pair of them wanted to do was spend time with the newly hatched Warden.
"We're ok," Qyprenna said, flashing Bereck a genuine smile. "Thanks again, for all you've done. Warden is beautiful, and she will be so helpful to me." A seeing eye flitt would literally be indispensable to her. With Warden to help her, she might be able to get back a life that was a little bit closer to what she was used to previously, and that was all Qyp could hope for.
