Touchy subject, Roch realized a second too late. Unfortunately, though, a part of him agreed with the other boil's over-protective big brother stand, so he couldn't help but grin slightly at the blow up. "Yeah, y'got a point," he said. "I'd prefer he didn't get hurt with all that candlewax, too," he admitted. (His slant on relationships was showing because that was clearly NOT what Ren thought was wrong.) But hey, there were relationships like Ren and LW, or Danny and Rikki out there, too, right? Maybe the entire problem was HIM. Probably, he decided.

"I'm good for most grunt work," Roch said, turning the conversation to the work, as well. "In fact, since I ain't goin' t'sleep anytime soon, y'wanna show me the place? Do y'got a theme you're thinkin' of using?"

"Sweet," Roch said, picturing it, as well. "Let's go! I'd like t'see it," he decided, getting to his feet. Somehow the bag of fast food he'd brought had disappeared, but as gluttonous as the grim reaper was, that wasn't a surprise. "Only art I know how t'do is graffiti, though. My old man's place still has the Pumpkin King plastered on the side from when I was a kid," he said, grinning.

He still loved that building.

Roch looked around, appearing honestly excited. "This place is awesome, man!" he said. "It's gonna be sweet! Do you have a floor layout planned and everything? An' lights--the stage needs lighting," he said, jumping on the stage and looking up to see what was there.

"I know those feels, man, I KNOW those feels," Roch said, walking over to drop a hand on Ren's shoulder. "Y'up for cleanin' now, or do y'got a time in mind for me t'stop by?" he asked. "I can do a bit of repair work, if y'need any, too. That stint with battle of the bands taught me a lot--hell, I'm the one that rebuilt the old tour bus me an' the boils ride around in. Gave it a super sweet speaker system for outdoor concerts and parties!"

Speaking of which, he thought, looking all around. "Y'got a system set up yet?"

"Sure, I can check it out!" Roch said, heading for the nearest ladder and starting to examine the wires. He messed around up there, tweaking things for a bit before turning to look at Ren. "Try it now, it should work," he said. "A cord came undone."

He hopped off the ladder and headed for the brooms, grabbing one to get to work. "So when d'ya need me t'find a band by? I'm thinking i'll haveta hunt down some of the guys from our schooldays. That or hold interviews." He already had a few in mind, though. His gramps had his own band, but he ignored that fact. Gramps would be pissed if he stole his boils.

Roch snorted, shaking his head. "Y'don't get it, man, I took who KNOWS how long off from my band just waitin' for my ditzy best friend t'announce a date. I got time on my hands no matter which way I turn--well, except for somethin... a bit personal once in a while, but that's no biggie. I can do a gig whenever, an' if I can't get my band from the old days, I'll find new ones. Music ain't somethin' hard t'find, y'know?"

With Roch, seriously, who KNEW what his "personal" thing was? Probably dating.

"That shouldn't be a problem, ever since she stopped pole-dancin, Monica's taken over the food aspect of Casino Royale," Roch said, still cleaning. "I'll ask around, see about gettin' the BLP back t'gether, or at least some of it. An' thanks," he added, grinning at Ren, "for the gig. I appreciate it. I bet the boils will, too."

"No way I'm gonna pass that up," Roch said, grinning. Then, strangely, a slight frown crossed his face. "How, ah, old d'ya gotta be t'get in, though?" he asked, looking abruptly guilty and worried all at the same time. It was such an unfamiliar look for the boil that it would have caught most of his friends off-guard.
