Phact only cast a disbelieving eye at the feline as he claimed to be clean of anything. The cat didn't even have a collar. Heck, she wondered if any of these so called guardians had gotten their shots. By the appearance of his own small cuts, Phact doubted it.
Quitely, she walked behind him, one hand covering her wound from the tree lines and the leaves that the cat could get through easily. Where they came out, she was slightly confused. Especially when she smelled bleach and dryer sheets.
Following him inside, she glanced around the empty hallway before walking towards the bathroom. "This can't be good for you staying here so much then." Phact whispered, grabbing paper towels and throwing them to her side as the water warmed. "But how did you find this place?" Her eyes moved towards the cat as her hands slipped under the warming water, soaking the towels to mop the blood up of her leg.

Jumping down to let her have the small sink to herself, he reached up and knocked over the toilet seat lid down with both his paws before jumping up and sitting. There, he started to clean himself. "It's better than being outside in the cold. It's nice, dry, warm, and no one can get me here. I mean, unless the workers come in here and shoo me out, but at least I can get a little nap in by the time that happens and if they close up then I have the entire night to myself!"
He turned to lick his back a moment before looking back up at her. "Well, there was a ramen restaurant that was further down that often left it's door open to the public so I could sneak in and hide under a bench when no one was looking, but they closed. But before that happened, I noticed when they closed up one night that this door was ajar and found the lock was busted. So I started staying here at night whenever I was around here. There are plenty of warm places once you find them in the city."
He lifted up one paw to lick at his chest. "Laundry mat on 23rd, Hanover, and one over on East 8th. There are some apartment buildings I can walk in when someone opens the door. Heating vents outside of offices. Just till winter is over. Summer comes and it's warm enough to stay in the park."
He stretched out and watched her. "Are you sure you don't need any help?"

For as annoying as he had started out to be, getting her involved in a battle, Phact was starting to find that this fluff ball had a brain and very skilled paws. Not to mention, he could adapt. That part she admired. When one place closed down, he moved on.
As the water turned from red to pink and slowly back to clear, Phact shook out the paper towels and turned, looking for a trash can. Slipping past the cat and toilet, she dropped them into the bucket before going back to the mirror and contorting into odd poses. She was trying to get a good look at the hole in her leg. Though she had to admit, the half turned, one leg on the sink pose might not have been the most lady-like.
"I'm sure..." Though her voice carried the odd tone of one who realized she was off balance. It took luck and alot of one leg hopping to keep the senshi from falling face first into the wall. "This isn't my first wound and I would have to break my pen to say it was my last." Finally getting both feet on the ground, she looked at the cat, red eyes taking him in. "Broken ribs and an arrow through my arm have been some of the worst. I know I'm lucky but needless to say, I am good friends with the senshi of healing."
Smiling, more to herself, the senshi in white crossed her arms over her chest. "But you, little trouble maker, need to not pick on things that could crush you. What if no one was around?"

He stared at her as she showed off battle scar after battle scar with wide-eyes concern. It was past being worried about, already healed and no amount of his ears going back would lighten the scars. He made these senshi and they went into battle. A simple equation with tied in risk and consequences. "I'd hate to see your condition of you weren't friends with them." Or those who weren't.
To her question, he stopped cleaning entirely and looked down. "I would have kept running till I could get somewhere small enough they couldn't enter. If that didn't work, I'd run until I couldn't run anymore and hope they get distracted."
He hopped down and found a corner to curl up in, tucking his arms under him. "I appreciate what you have done for me, but I never intended for you to get hurt. I'm very sorry. If there is anything I can do for you, I would." But he couldn't do much for someone stringer than him.
"You should go home and rest up."

"There isn't much else we can do. Rest and be ready for the next fight." Phact sighed as she watched the fur ball claim his spot. Two things went into her mind and it was with a mental groan that she decided which to follow.
"Look, why don't you come stay with me tonight? Rest up and get that latte you were trying to drink before someone else thought you would make a good snack. It's supposed to freeze ..." And even if I don't like guardian cats much, I would not be able to live with the fact that you could have been someplace warmer and softer. But she left the rest unsaid.
She finally knelt down and offered her hand to the cat before attempting to pet behind his ears. "I have only come to know a few guardian cats in my time. One awoke me and then disappeared. The second, is so glued to her computes you would think she was part of them. The third killed one of my birds. So you have to forgive me if I don't have the best manners to cats but I do know that some of you mean well."

He watched her and the offer for a latte was too tempting. A hot drink. A hot GOOD drink. He wasn't sure where she would even get a latte, but she had offered. However, should he be rewarded for doing nothing? For making the girl bleed?
As she knelt and offered her hand, he sniffed at the air out of habit, and then turned his head when she petted behind his ears. Fleeting pets like this were too far between for him, when usually only strangers would stop and risk their health to offer him a pat on the back or a scratch behind the ears. He missed the days when he would receive that attention daily. When he had a hand resting on his back at night and would wake up to a pet against his side.
'If....you don't mind." He stood up and pressed his head against her palm, purring in appreciation as he pressed his head and then the rest of his body against her open hand. His fur felt gritty and held the faint smell of motor oil.

Giving a weak smile, the senshi turned her hand to scratch the offered back. "I would not have offered otherwise."
Picking her head up, Phact made a quick scan of the room searching for any sign of a camera or recording device. Then again, she figured if there was one, he would not have been sleeping in here so often. That door would have been fixed. So, she took a chance and allowed her senshi formed to drop.
A quick light and she knelt there in jeans and a sweater. "My real name is Delilah. Figured you might need to know if you were going to be sleeping at my place." Sliding her arms down and under him, she scooped him up and pulled him close to her chest. "Now, let's get you that latte."
MoonKitsune My apologize. Work and event planning finally slowed down

He made no motion against her, letting himself be picked up. He was light and thin, and as she picked him up and held him, he moved up to drape himself across her shoulders but did not extend his claws. Now a cat scarf, Arthur looked up at her and smiled. "Sh--shall we then?"
Despite how kind she was being, he still worried he might be dropped off at a pound. It wouldn't be the first time someone had tried.

He seemed nervous and that drew concern from the now human woman. As they walked in the direction of the DCU campus, Delilah would often reach up to her cat scarf and scratch his head or the base of this tail. "You will be safe. But I don't think I caught your name. " This went one for a moment before they came to an apartment building. "This is where I live. I'll take you up and dig out the heating pad while we wait on the coffee. My machine is old and slow but it still pretty good. It will warm you up with youma to worry about"[/color ]

The scratches were welcome and he turned his head or rose him rump where she touched, wincing once or twice when her nails touched a small scan here or there.
Before the building, he only stared up with curiosity. "You go to school?" Eleanor had mentioned the colleges and schools before but he never really walked about the campuses.
"Oh, don't go through all the trouble. These old bones are fine near a heat vent if you have one." That or a warm lap, which he hoped was also available.
"Oh, pardon me. I forget. I don't usually have enough time with a senshi to do introductions. It's Arthur."

"I do. I am a freshman here studying fashion design. " she gave a smile as they headed towards the elevator. Doors opened and she slipped them in towards the 6th floor. "Well, I try to." Delilah chuckled. "Doing so between fighting chaos and moon travel, I haven't been able to give it 100%" "Arthur is it? Like King Arthur?" Smiling still, she let them into her apartment. Kneeling down to let him hop off, her eyes looked around. "Make yourself comfortable. Though please, stay off the fabric on the table. That is an unfinished project." It was the only time she had a touch of warning in her voice as she headed to put on the espresso.

He tensed and hunched down as the elevator moved up before they came to her room. It was warm and dry without the smell of damp, mold, and urine as he often found in sleeping spots.
He walked slowly, stopping to use a hind leg to scratch his ear before he passed the table and jumped up into a chair. From here he looked over his smudged glasses to see what she worked on. As he did, he started to clean his shoulder.
"What are you working on?" He called out to her.

"It's a take on the little black dress." She answered, poking her head around the corner to see where he was sitting. Satisfied he was not on the garment, she set about getting their drinks started.
A few moments later, she returned to the living room and knelt down to look at the fabric and sewing materials. In the kitchen, things were at work.
"I'm Delilah by the way. At least in this form. In my other, She moved towards the couch and leaned back on it. "I go by Sailor Phact, Senshi of Doves. Set on this path some three years ago and wondering where it's going." Her eyes were watching the cat with a smile. Ironic. Normally she hated the flea bags.
MoonKitsune I completely forgot you were waiting on me! I'm so sorry!

The moment Phact sat down, or Delilah as she explained, he got down off the chair and walked over to the couch. After a moment, he jumped up and then placed himself on her lap, sitting back down and licking a paw as he looked at the dress.
"Three years is an awfully long time." He licked his paw, thinking. "I don't see too many doves. Pigeons. That's what I usually see." And ate.
"Do you plan to wear it? The dress?"

Her eyebrow arched as he pawed towards her. At first it was a questioning look and then, the weight was on her lap. Delilah had to stop herself from pushing the white fur body off her clothes by remembering he was a cat first, talking guardian second.
Not to mention one of the more tame creatures she had met.
"In a way, they are the same thing." Delilah sighed as she reached back up to scratch Arthur's ears. "Same family at least. But no, the dress is for a model. She will wear it while I get judged and critique. The girl is about three sizes smaller than me so I would never fit in it."
Delilah gave a sigh and watched the cat clean. "You aren't a normal stray are you?"
MoonKitsune Thank you. Also, want to poke you about something.
