Ren cast her gaze to the size at his words, her hands pulling away from him ever so slightly. She'd not meant to pull away from the satyr, and she hope he'd not noticed, but it was too late to reposition herself.
"Luka...I..."
The aurora cleared her throat and shifted awkwardly on her ribbon, the sound of her wings refolding themselves on her back quiet as paper but somehow loud in her own ears. "You say you don't want a relationship, but then you say you want to date. You want me to be your princess."
The frei felt young and stupid in that moment, floundering for words she couldn't quite grasp. How could she express to him that the suggestion wasn't unwanted entirely, simply that the moment wasn't right? Would she upset him? It was the very last thing she wanted. But she couldn't risk hurting him more later if she let a relationship form that she wasn't sure she could participate in fully.
Looking back up at him, the corners of Revontulet's lips were tugged into a small frown, her eyes sad. "I would spend all my time with you if you would let me, Luka. But dating?" Ren shook her head slightly, the bun bobbing humorously atop her head, though she was sure neither of them found it funny. "I don't know how to feel about something like that."
Squeezing his hand, Ren leaned in and touched her cool lips to his cheek. "You're the first person I want to see when I get back, and we can go out wherever you want. But can we...can we stay like this?"

Luka struggled for words, unsure of what to say to Ren. She was misunderstanding him. It wasn't that he wanted a relationship with her right now, even he was completely unsure of his feelings. He just knew based on what he felt around her that he wanted to stay close to Ren. "What I'm saying is, I'm not sure if I want a relationship right now. I just know that you're very special to me. I just want the chance to understand these feelings when you come back."
When Ren leaned against him, the satyr instinctively found himself wrapping an arm around her "waist" to bring her closer. "I can stay as long as you want me to."
It was quiet in the house and Luka found himself being appreciative of the ammount of privacy he had with Ren today. If Dou or other members of Ren's family had been here, he had the feeling that things would've ended very differently. "All I know is, when I spend time with you, it leaves me feeling good. The skies are a little clearer and the Sun's a little brighter for me." he knew there was no way that he could fully translate to Ren what it meant to him when the two of them hung out, but hopefully his words would give her a glimpse of what he meant.

Closing her eyes and letting her chin rest against his shoulder as he wrapped his arms about her, Ren felt content for a moment.
It was easy to forget about everything that had been going on when Luka was there comforting her and saying these sort of things. "I feel better when I spend time with you too."
Revontulet let her ribbon wrap about Luka's. "As long as you are patient with me, I'm sure we can figure out everything." With him here, she almost didn't want to go on such a long trip away. How could she laugh when she didn't have Luka to make jokes and do silly things for her?
But she had to go away and get better. Ren had to get better so she could be whole for him.
After a long moment, the aurora lifted her head from his shoulder and turned to look back at her room. "Let's watch a movie together. Just for a little while until you have to go?

As he felt her ribbon wrapping around his own, Luka instinctively found himself wrapping a strong arm around Ren's waist. "Of course." As much as he wanted to say more, he knew that less would be more.
Placing a kiss on her head, the satyr nodded. "Of course, I'll stay as long as you want me to." Taking her hand, Luka found himself leading the two of them to her room.
He would spend as much time as possible with her today. There was no telling when the next time he would see her would be. "And, we can watch whatever you like."
