History: Yumi has always been obsessed with fiction. The thought of something mystical and amazing happening made her feel so excited, and she had always wished it would happen to her too. her life has always been made up of animes, mangas, books and stories. She dreamed of a life where she could be special, and as a child, her wish came true. Yumi had lived in a small house with just her, her mother, her father and her little brother, Kuro. Her life had always been serene and normal until one night, when she was only 9, a fire had lit on her house. She didn't wake up until her room was completely engulfed, and her family was no where to be seen. Yumi was frightened but she knew she had to find her family, so she slowly tried to escape. Strangely, the fire did not touch her. Everywhere she went, it was almost like it parted ways for her, and Yumi found herself in her parent's room. She had seen her father cradling Kuro and holding an arm around her mother. Yumi ran towards them and fell beside them, joining their family circle. Yumi's father instructed Yumi to leave and take her brother with her, telling them they had to escape. Yumi objected to the idea, until she saw the sad smile that her father had given her. She unwillingly agreed and quickly ran out of her house, pulling her little brother with her. When they finally reached the outside, the two of them watched as their childhood home crumbled before them, and Yumi sobbed as she thought of her parent's parting. It seemed that the stronger her sadness was, the stronger the flames were. Yumi lived on with her brother, taking on jobs to support both of them and trying her hardest to protect her brother. She had feared fire for so long, until she realized that she could control it. She kept it secret and dreaded her power, believing that she would just bring pain with it.
