The convention I have attended every year since the first is Shuto Con in Lansing, Michigan. The con head and I are actually pretty good friends and I also got engaged there~ It is by far the best convention I have been in Michigan because it is fan run, all the workers are volunteers from the con board and the hotel the convention center is attached to. Tickets and accommodations are pretty fairly priced and its a three day con. The best thing about the con, is the "safe space" rule, it prevents bullying of any kind and the punishment is getting kidded out or banned. No one has been banned but there have been some people kidded out and their badges revoked. I would love to go to more conventions but I am limited by my puny wallet to usually one or two a year. I have gone to Youma Con in Detroit, Michigan but it's nothing compared to Shuto.
