The High Lord chuckled at his apprentice's quip, a wry smile quirking up on his lips. "Yes, let us endeavor not to upset your familiar by dawdling." he said, motioning with his hand and activating several protection wards around the room. He trusted the skill of the hybrid - how could he not, he was has his apprentice, after all - but if his long life had taught him anything it was that it was best to err on the side of caution when it came to Vampires and magic.

"Alright, we'll start first with summoning the water you'll be using." Faelnirv said, murmuring a soft series of glyphs to form a swirling glob of water into one of his palms. His wings, normally invisible due to his innate power and status, shimmered into visibility as a reaction to his glyphical magic use. "Remember, you'll feel a slight drop in energy from using glyphs, and as a result you'll become more aware of your thirst."

(The difference between the magic he'd been using before and one with glyphs is that glyph magic is more powerful and more formulaic - you always basically can know what you'll get when you use glyphs. The causal, nonverbal magic he'd used before only really should be used by MASTERS because it's really just using your straight-up magical willpower to manipulate the world around you and therefore can be more unpredictable and really dangerous.)
