August Rouge
Auggie saw as she ran to her room. He cowered even more, scared to move a muscle. When she shut the door his heart was racing. He had no idea what he had done wrong, but he knew it was going to be bad. Quietly, he walked over to the small make-shift bed she had made for him, and fixed the blanket. He definitely couldn't sleep, especially now. His heart told him to go check on the girl, but his mind screamed no. Thinking he should please her some how, he started tidying up the already fairly clean cabin.

He wiped down the cabinets, and made sure the table was so clean that it looked polished. Making sure every thing looked fine, Auggie then decided he'd try and sleep. If not sleep, then at least lay down, so she wouldn't get upset. His heart was still pounding, but he curled up underneath the blanket and tried to relax. Please don't send me back to the pet store he kept repeating in his head, scared out of his mind. She had been so nice to him, and already, he had messed some thing up.

August Rouge
Auggie stirred a little when she had spoke, since he was a fairly light sleeper. He couldn't make out what she had said though. A little while after Lacie was gone, he woke up fully. Realizing he was alone, he got up and got dressed, fixing his hair almost perfectly. Auggie decided he would make a meal for her, so that when she came home she could relax. He quietly looked through a few cabinets, and though he would make some thick soup with a few older vegetables. Even though he didn't prefer meat very much, he thought he would hunt some thing small, to spice up the stew.

Walking out side, he grabbed a medium sized rock, and quickly walked through the woods. He sat against a tree and waited. Hopefully there would be a rabbit or two in these woods. Waiting for about twenty minutes, a cream colored rabbit slowly hopped by. He struck it, and quickly skinned it with the jagged edge of the rock. He was rather skilled at this, since his previous master would hunt constantly. After discarding the remains, he brought back the rabbit and began to prepare it. Mixing the meat in with the vegetables added the hearty flavor, and he carefully cooked every thing as close to perfection as he could.

Not knowing when Lacie would be back, he covered the pot with a plate and kept the stove on simmer, he cleaned up the kitchen and got two regular sized bowls with two spoons. He then sat quietly on the couch, and waited for her to return. Auggie hoped she wouldn't be mad that he had killed a rabbit.

August Rouge
Auggie took the basket from her and set it down on the couch gently. Walking over to the stew he glanced at her. "O-Oh, I um, went and caught a rabbit.. he murmured softly, not sure if she would be mad or not. He didn't want to upset her like yesterday, and since she wouldn't look at him, he knew he must have done some thing wrong. "Uh, w-would you like some stew? If you don't want it I can make you any thing you'd like.."

"Oh, thank you so much.. they t-took all of my clothes when they captured me.. he murmured, while getting some stew. He sat down by her, and smiled softly. "I r-really hope you enjoy the stew. I figured you'd like to relax, so, if there's any thing I can do for you.. please let me know. I d-don't want to upset you, Lacie.." he murmured softly, and slowly started to eat. The stew could've had a pinch more of salt, but he figured it wouldn't be too noticeable.

"I-I'm sorry. I won't do it again. I was just so used to having no clothes when I was younger. S-So I don't sleep with shirts, for fear of suffocation. I'm s-so sorry, I promise it won't happen again. I'll do any thing to please you.." he started rambling, and cowering slightly. Even though he trusted Lacie, he was afraid, since the flash backs were constantly in the back of his mind. He slowly took a bite of the stew, but at this point, he had lost his appetite. Auggie tried not to shake, but it was getting hard.

Auggie flinched when she came near, but when she hugged him, he started to cry, and hugged back. No one had ever hugged him before, except for his mother, and that was many years ago. He didn't want to hurt her or upset her, but he felt like he had done lots of things wrong. "I-I'm so sorry Lacie, really, I am. I'm not used to this, I want to do any thing I can for you." he rambled, calming down slightly.
