Cupcake was as excited as Cotton but he was slightly better as restraining himself. He was sure his soon to be wife was going to achieve lift off if her wings didn't settle down some. Still it was endearing as far as he was concerned.
He couldn't stop staring at Cotton as they stood in front of the woman about to perform their wedding, and though he heard the words he barely comprehended it. Words of loving one another in good times and bad, in sickness and health washed over him as he held Cotton's hands in his own, listening to his heart hammering away in his chest, feeling ready to burst from the sheer amount of love he had for the flaffbat across from him.
The moment for the rings came and he pulled out the box they were in and handed one to Cotton, the one meant for him of course and pocketed the box once it was empty. He slipped the ring meant for her onto the proper finger, his own hand held out to her in anticipation.
He felt like he was moving in a dream!

Every word the woman spoke etched itself on Cotton's mind and heart. This was really happening! She was smiling so much that her cheeks were hurting, but she didn't care. She did manage to hold back tears, though her eyes were extremely wet at this point. She dared not remove her hands from his and try to wipe them away lest they break free entirely. Then she'd look like a blubbering fool!
Despite her excitement, Cotton's hands were steady as she placed the ring on Cupcake's finger. The constant nervous noises she was making were great for her "sight" but may have been a bit offsetting to the minister.
Regardless, they both had their rings and when they were pronounced "Man and Wife, you may kiss the bride," the Flaffbat nearly knocked over her new husband as she threw herself one him. The kiss she planted on his lips was no less passionate and she could be heard squealing softly through it.

Cupcake felt like his heart would burst when those final words were said and he wrapped his arms tightly around his new wife kissing her deeply, uncaring that they had an audience, even a small one.
Finally he broke the kiss, but kept Cotton held close, a grin on his face and tears in his eyes. "Woman I have loved you since I first saw you, and I never plan on letting you go." not one little bit. This was his happy ending, she was his world. What more could be possibly ask for?
The minister excused herself to sign their wedding license so it was all good and official and her assistant had it at the ready for when they were prepared to go. He couldn't help but smile some watching Cupcake help Cotton back into her coat and get rebundled to head outside.
"Lets go home and...celebrate shall we?" it would be a first for them this celebration and he was looking forward to it honestly.
