FrostyPeaches I think this can be like wrapped up in a post or two? surprised
Picking up her own controller she held it out so he could see. "Well, this button shaped like a triangle is how you pick up stuff. The one with an x is how you jump. The circle is how you attack and the square is how you block. You use the joystick over here to move around." She smiled, nodding to each button as she went. "I'm really glad you decided to stay."

Well there's a genuine smile instead of a forced one coming from the filly.
Peanut didn't wince when she picked up a controller for herself and plopped down beside him. The nervousness seemed to have paused for the time being since he couldn't stop staring at the controller. Without knowing, due to his sheer interest of wanting to understand what the thingamabob does, he naturally had scooted closer to Paws.
This new thing he was holding onto fascinated him. He pressed the buttons again as he listened closely to what is being taught to him. "Y-You know, y-you are like a sibling I never had." The fight or flight response went away as he realized that having a friend to turn to could be fun too instead of being on his own all the time.

With a giggle Paws tilted her head. "Like a sibling? Thanks! You're kind of like a sibling too." She pursed her lips and thought about it. "Like a little brother!" She squealed, clapping her hooves together. "You don't have a real family right? You should stay with us! You can be my honorary brother! But you'll have to play this game with me first. " The filly winked and nodded towards the tv.
Of course she was fully intending to let him win the first few rounds.

".. little brother?" His eyes got bigger. "I don't have any family... Just a-a cat. I c-can't stay here but maybe I c-could come back?"
Peanut stared at the tv and nodded back at Paws. He didn't want to put down the controller and held onto it tightly. Honorary brother sounded like something important. It made him feel special hearing it. "Thanks f-for having me over."
