Well at least he seemed to be handling it in a way that Octavian couldn't quite read. But it did look like there as a lot going on there.
To be honest Octavian didn't really know what to say or do in response other than nod quietly. He never actually told anyone that, especially not some one he was listening in on for information. In short, he was stuck for once. '...if you don't, you might cause more proble-' Just as he heard that he heard something nearby that caught his attention. One of the windows seemed to have a crack forming down it as it shook. Was that from him? Looking back over at them, he noticed that their eyes started to change into a deeper color. ' a bit dangerous... -calm, and think-' Those thoughts could have been for anything but it was to coincidental to say that. He was almost tempted to ask but there was no need to dig this grave past six feet.
'Hey, wait a minute! Are you listening right now?' Octavian nodded with a nervous smile. "Unfortunately I can't really help it. Its all a constant buzz that I hear bits and pieces from thoughts, though depending on where my attention mainly is I can hear them better. Even then they are still unclear. Its like trying to find the right radio channel when you are moving out of range of the previous station into a new one. You can hear the new one, but the old one interferes along with the static."He decided to explain a bit more even though the stranger didnt exactly ask, not like it would help the situation. But he was already deep in the water with this.
Octavian nodded,"In a way yes, but its not like I can pry to far into them. Not unless you are," he said before placing his hands around the straps of the instrument case. That way they were in view for the stranger. "It is, with that it clears up your thoughts and singles it out so I only hear yours. But it still requires my focus."He responded. Hopefully the stranger would at least appreciate seeing where his hands were. It didn't have to be through his hands, obviously, but he figured the other would catch onto why. To let them know he wasn't move to touch them in any sort of way.Though, personally he wished the stranger didn't ask that. Or catch onto that for that matter.
Octavian closed his eyes and sighed, trying to figure out how he wanted to answer that regardless if it was a threat or not. "I think actually, that depends on you not me. At least if you're willing to believe what I say."He sighed once more, looking up at the stranger. He was tapping more into who he was than what he originally wanted. Not like he was widely known. "Everything I gather from you or from others is for myself, I don't intended to do anything with it. Though, if the price is right I am willing to gather information for others or give that out. How high that price is depends on how difficult it is to obtain and how important it is." Maybe he really should just go ahead and dig this right into the center of the world as this wasn't getting any better for him. He could have lied but that didn't look like it would get anywhere and not to mention it would also make things worse. At least this stranger didn't really seem to know who he actually was. That was good.Though, he did not expect the stranger to put even less distance between them both, given that contact made hearing thoughts easier. But he couldn't help to laugh, "honestly? I dont think you would have. Not in that way at least. Not after seeing how you handled the situation with your cellphone." Well he dug a nice grave so he may as well lay in it now.

Inside a world of broken words, you cannot hide, You try to find the reasons why, as days collide, The seconds keep on passing, without a sound, You turn around, and as you walk away I call to you! "Don't you let go, take a look around, you are not alone!" ▂ █ ▆ █ ▅ ▆ █ ▇ Craith Ivan Svyatopolk ▇ █ ▆ ▅ █ ▆ █ ▂ ___________________________________________________________________ "If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand." ___________________________________________________________________ Right, so she was still listening. Then how much had she just heard of his other thoughts? He wasn't sure he wanted to know. Didn't want to think about it. Putting more reasons to silence her in his mind right then would be a really bad idea. It wasn't something he wanted to do anyways. At this point, he could only hope she would play it smart and give him the answers he needed to hear, and that she showed no signs that she'd associated the issue with the window with him. That was in fact one of his biggest worries. She already probably knew a lot more than he was comfortable with, showing too much more could potentially lead to further issues.
Luckily for her, he couldn't see anything in either her eyes or body language that could have given away that she may have realized it was him who had caused the glass to nearly shatter. Maybe she was learning how to better hide her responses to the things he did from him, or maybe she really didn't see the connection, but whatever the case, he was glad she didn't react.
"I see...so I guess I can't really blame you if you hear a few bits and pieces of my thoughts while we're here talking to each other. Not like it would be right to get angry at someone for doing something they can't quite control." He said, blinking slowly as he examined her again. He hadn't really thought about it until now, but something about her seemed a bit off, yet he couldn't really place what it was. It was rather aggravating to be honest, but he waved it off, turning his gaze away from her for just a moment. It felt suddenly like someone was watching them, though he couldn't be absolutely sure, nor could he exactly tell what direction the person was in, if they in fact were even actually there and he wasn't simply being paranoid again.
"Ah...I see...interesting. Though I can't imagine being able to see through someones eyes whose world is distorted would be an easy thing to deal with. That must have been why you changed your behavior quite so suddenly back then. I must of bumped you when getting my phone from the ground....Would you be able to see someones memories if you had contact with them long enough? Or would that require the person to be remembering something for you to see it?" He asked, curious despite himself.
'Why do I keep asking these questions?' He really didn't want to know the answers, as interesting as this all was. It was only driving him further into a corner, and she was only digging herself a deeper, and deeper grave with each new answer.
It wasn't that Craith didn't appreciate the others choice to be honest with him, as honesty was something he appreciated over most other things, but in her being honest, she was only making her situation worse. However, truly, everything depended on her next answer. The rest would matter little compared to how she chose to answer him here. Craith only hoped she would continue to be honest with him, and that that honesty wasn't something that would push her towards that grave she was digging for herself.
Unfortunately...the answer she offered was not a good one.
While he understood that information brokers were often times a rather important thing to have around, as they could give info that was especially difficult to get your hands on unless you had some other method to get the information for yourself, he also knew that they could technically be considered a threat to any gang. Right then, she was starting to really seem like a threat herself.
She might end up eventually selling the information she'd gotten on him, and while most might think that wouldn't be such a big deal, he knew that to be untrue. In the hands of the right person, he could easily have his trail followed right on back to his gangs base, and anyone looking for him, more than likely weren't going to be just some innocent person looking to have a nice sit down and chat. Seeing as while he was Crow, he tended to do things that attracted the eye of the public to some extent, and when that happened, people tended to begin recognizing you, and they begin to watch you. Once you have some information on a person, so long as it was the right kind, you could easily find more along the trail till you found yourself at the end.
For just a second, he paused, his thoughts racing as he thought everything over, not really thinking to slow down and look at the situation calmly and carefully so he didn't jump to any ridiculous conclusions, before he was snapped back out of his thoughts by the sudden realization that the woman had just laughed at him. Why she had, he wasn't quite sure, though there was a chance it was for the same reason he was calling himself stupid before. He had decided to move closer to her, despite the risks involved, anyone would think it to be ridiculous. He would have laughed too...if he wasn't so worried about the situation at hand, and if her next words didn't have him stopping in his tracks.
'So she was watching me...even back then..?' Had she heard what he'd said to the man then..? And to say she didn't think he was capable of doing what he had said he was...That was probably not the best idea she'd ever had.
He could feel his eyes darkening slightly again, though this time he managed to keep his telekinesis from getting out of hand as he pushed forward suddenly, catching back up to her with ease, before moving so he'd be in front of her. He'd given no real warning, and had made sure he was close enough that she'd more than likely run right into him if she hadn't managed to catch what he was doing before hand. He was glaring in her direction, his rose eyes not quite red, but only just barely light enough to still be considered otherwise, and there was a grin on his face that suggested she had definitely made some form of mistake.
'I see....for someone with such great observational skills..you certainly seem good at underestimating people...' He thought, his mental voice sounding harsh and cold, and he'd made it obvious he had intended for her to hear it this time. He was struggling to keep his thoughts in order, and to keep himself under control in general, but it wasn't really easy. Yet he knew he needed to control himself. This was not only not the place to lash out, but not the time to let himself get too out of hand. Yes she could sell information on him, but what did she actually know? There was always a chance she really hadn't seen him use his telekinesis before, and if she wasn't aware that he wasn't quite human, he could be revealing even more than he already had, and then, she would have a lot to hold over his head, and his gangs.
Not to mention the fact that there were civilians everywhere around them, some now stopping to look at him, questioningly. He'd moved so suddenly to block the woman, they probably thought he was up to no good. He tried his best to seem non-threatening to them, while still showing he wasn't playing around to the woman in front of him. It wasn't an easy task, he had to admit.
"I'm sorry, but perhaps you really should have just lied to me before about what you might have done with the information, because now I don't think I can quite just let you walk away without too much of a problem. Not to mention..you probably should have just kept quiet about having seen the situation with the man who had attempted to take my phone before..because something is telling me you aren't quite what you're trying to show yourself as, and now, to top it off, you basically just called me a liar. Are you trying to piss me off?" He leaned in a bit closer to her, his voice low enough that the people around her wouldn't be able to hear clearly, but loud enough that she would hear him just fine.

Though he did have to wonder why the stranger kept asking more questions. Judging by the looks of it they didn't even see to know. "Never tried, but do you really want to be giving me ideas?"He asked with a small laugh. Not that he couldn't read his position at this point. More of he no longer cared. He had nothing left to lose other than reveal his real face. Though the stranger gave no solid hints of being suspicious of that.
Watching the stranger further, Octavian started to see where he should have kept quite about. But he was insistent on going with the honest policy here. In fact he was meeting all different sides of the stranger. In fact they were giving him a lot of material to work with. Though, while he was probably still only scratching the surface. Even then the surface held a lot more than people thought it would. Maybe he wouldn't have to approach the stranger as different faces. It was as if his work was basically being cut out for him.
It all wasn't a good idea, but he might as well start gambling now to get more out of this. Even if it lead into a dangerous situation. Not like he wouldn't be able to handle himself in that. Would he win? Maybe not, but he had his ways around.
'-observational skills..you certainly seem good at underestimating people... ' Octavian made sure not to react on that thought. Not a hint. Though, guess he was wrong about the whole cellphone thing, but he was actually glad. This stranger was just giving him more and more to work with. By saying, or more rather, thinking that Octavian was wrong about that. It was showing more of his character for sure.
Octavian didn't expect much movement from the stranger, bet was left unphased by it all. He also couldn't help but to smile at what he said. He didn't mean to upset the stranger, but he had a nasty habit of being able to get under people's skin. Sometimes a little too well. But it was providing for a lot in just one day of meeting this person. And he was about to roll with it. "Oh? Most people wouldn't go around saying that, not unless there is something valuable that i've taken. You're not only leading me to believe more about you but also confirm it. You should perhaps be more careful with your threats, my good sir. Though I can't help but to laugh, I said nothing about myself, not a thing. Whatever you assumed about me is on you. As to how you take my words is also on you. What is it in your head that you're afraid that i've heard that you feel the need to threaten me? Do tell, that way I can sell it for a very pretty penny." He teased. While Octavian knew he dug his grave, the stranger did just the same. Even if they didn't know it.
Considering that this person was indeed from a gang, he had no real intentions of actually selling it. Not just because it could get ugly for him alone, but it could lead into other things as well. Not to mention rumors spread like wild fire and Octavian didn't need nor want the military snooping around. So for now he would play his bluff of having more information than he already did and then also play it so that he would give it away. Both were false. But this stranger seemed to have gotten way head of himself and is drawing more assumptions. Which was giving more to work with and around.

After eating and giving his clothes a quick wash, he left his hotel room. There wasn't much for him to do there besides argue with Keenan and he could do that anywhere. So, he thought it would be better to wander around and get to know the area better. It was much nicer looking when you were crouched in some ally fending off thieves. He was surprised by the amount of people walking around. It was known or at least suspected that there was gang activity, but no one seemed on guard or anything. Either they didn't care too much or they were just used to it and choose to continue on with their lives. There was also the possibility that not everyone knew or believed what they heard.
'Hey, something's going on over there,' a voice said in the back of his mind.
For a moment Lonan had no idea what he was talking about, but then he noticed the crowd of people up ahead. Some of them were pretending to mind their own business, while other were outright staring. It looked like everyone was staring at an arguing couple. He rolled his eyes and continued walking, planning on just ignoring them as he passed by.
'Isn't that the guy who recruited to you? Crow or something,'
"What?" He asked out loud. Luckily no one was paying him any attention.
He realized Keenan was right. He was arguing with a woman, though he couldn't hear what they were saying. No one else looked like they were going to step in. Not even after Crow blocked her off and got more in her face. If anything some people turned around or stepped back. He still couldn't hear what he was saying, though he got a better look at his face.
'Damn, he's attractive when he's angry,' Lonan thought. He started making his way over to where the two of them were standing.
'What? No, well...yes, but no. What are you doing?' Keenan started shouting in the back of his mind.
'Having fun. Don't worry,' He reassured Keenan. 'Nothing too bad will happen. I promise.'
Lonan decided to run the last few feet and throw himself at Crow, hugging him around the waist. He looked up at him from under his lashes and said, "I must be lucky today to run into a familiar handsome face when I'm just wandering around town bored out of my mind."
He turned to look at the girl. She didn't look as angry as Crow. 'She must have done something then,' he thought. He smiled at her and reached out tucking some of her hair behind her ear. "Who is this lovely lady?" He asked, looking up at Crow.
'You are shameless.' Keenan chimed in.
'Shut up. I just know what I like. Plus I know you find them attractive too. Don't try to lie to me,' Lonan thought, he almost said it out load, but managed to catch himself.
'There is a difference between finding someone attractive and out right hitting on them.' Keenan replied. 'Also, something's odd about her.'
'Odd?' Lonan asked. He looked her over. There wasn't anything odd he could see, besides that fact that she was arguing with Crow.
'It might be nothing. Just be careful. I don't want you getting us into something dangerous. Any more than you already have that is.'
Lonan decided he would keep a closer eye on her, just to reassure Keenan.

OOC: The strangeness he is getting from him is because Keenan vaguely realizes that he's wearing a wig, he just hasn't figured it out yet. Also, I have no idea if he could hear their thoughts when he was still a little bit away, but I underlined them anyway.

Then you might just understand." ___________________________________________________________________ Craith, for a moment, couldn't even bring himself to respond, as he stared the woman before him down, his grin thinning, eyes narrowing a little further. Things were just getting worse and worse, and the fact that she seemed to be acting like she had nothing to lose, and everything to gain from the situation only served to both worry, and further piss him off. He almost wished she had struck out at him, that way he would have had more than enough reason to go on the offensive. Instead she had acted like she was calm, like nothing he did phased her.
That in itself had somehow managed to piss him off more than anything she had said up until that point. Well, it had been, until he saw her smile and she began speaking, putting into voice what he'd seen in her. Her lack of caring about his actions, her acting like she had nothing to lose, she had more than enough and he was just giving her more to work off of. What was it? What was it that she knew? The way she was speaking suggested he had given away much more than he perhaps had feared he'd done so, and though she didn't offer any details on exactly what information she had, the mention of him not only leading her to believe things about him, but also of him confirming them had him nearly dropping his mask of anger for one of shock.
However, he managed to keep himself focused, and the shock didn't exactly last long either as in it's place rage seemed to take hold.
"Oh? You want more information do you? I do have to wonder, exactly what it is that you supposedly know, and exactly what it is that I have apparently "confirmed" for you? Your words seem so very vague, Could you be grasping at straws perhaps, in order to unsettle me?" Craith responded, shocking himself with his response as he heard himself laugh, the sound bitter and harsh, something generally out of character for him unless he was pushed a little too close to the line of snapping for his comfort. Even though he could feel it coming, he couldn't seem to convince himself to back off and try to cool down a little, and instead, a slightly twisted grin made its way onto his face, and he laughed again, this time a bit quieter. He could feel his eyes burning a bit as the color darkened a bit further in response to his anger, and he at least had the sense to drop his gaze from the woman so she wouldn't see more than she already had. "Do you always walk around showing just how much of a death wish you truly have?" He muttered, his voice so quiet he wasn't even sure the woman would hear him. It wouldn't matter if she had or not, however, as he hadn't really intended for her to. It was more of a voiced side thought than anything. The worst part was that he wasn't sure if he'd meant her, or himself when he'd said it.
Of course his words were an empty challenge, as he knew all too well that she had already gotten to him, and that there was no turning back at that point, not unless some kind of miracle happened by and managed to stop him from what was inevitably going to happen next. It was already in his head that she more than likely did know something she really shouldn't, and despite the challenge he'd thrown back in her face, he wasn't able to convince himself that she might be bluffing after all. 'Why couldn't you have just let things go...? Why couldn't you just walk away when you had the chance? I didn't want any of this but now...I'm not sure I have much of a choice.' Craith thought to himself, his mental voice practically a whisper. He wasn't actually talking to her, or at least wasn't trying to, but she might have heard him. It didn't matter. Whatever his thoughts were his emotions didn't change. He could already hear the slightest sound of the glass from the window before quivering and cracking, though it was less noticeable than it had been the first time as he didn't see any of the civilians turning to look towards it. He could hear something a little further above him making the slight sound of metal scraping against metal, and wondered what his telekinesis had gotten a hold of this time. Whatever it was, it was above them somewhere, along the side of the shop they were standing next to.
'Wait...what the hell?' He thought, head snapping up, eyes for just a moment meeting the woman's before he glanced back over his shoulder where he'd heard the sound of the cracked glass suddenly shattering. It hadn't been him who had done it though, and he didn't even get the chance to see who it was as he heard the sound of footsteps approaching at a rapid pace in the other direction, behind the girl. He'd just barely managed to turn in time to catch a glance of a familiar face, and a flurry of color before suddenly there was the impact of someone running into him, arms wrapped around his waist. He just managed to brace himself against the force, luckily only having to move back a step or two in the process, one of his own arms coming up on instinct, hand lightly settling on Lonan's back as though to steady them both.
'Whoa, how did he manage to get that close without me noticing him till the last minute? Was I really that focused on the situation that I managed to nearly miss not only him, with how colorful his clothing and he himself is, and the person who'd just shattered that window back there? How the hell has this woman managed to get me so damn worked up that I nearly managed to miss....wait a minute.' His thoughts cut off suddenly as his gaze met the others, who was looking up at him through his eye lashes. It took a moment for the words the other had spoken to register in his mind as he was still rather worked up over the situation he was in before the male had shown up. When it did however he blinked, feeling quite a bit of his anger fade at the sudden change in atmosphere. He had no clue how to respond other than to let out a sudden quiet laugh as he'd been caught off guard twice now by him, one in a way he honestly wasn't quite expecting at all. 'Well I guess this in a way counts as that "miracle" I was asking for. Little Raven here might not even be aware of what exactly he's just done, but whether he does or not I'm rather grateful...but hold on...is he still wearing the same cloths he was wearing back when I first brought him in? I mean..not that he doesn't look amazing in them, but still...Hey wait, what am I thinking!? What is with me today!'
The situation didn't quite leave his mind however as he lifted his gaze back to the woman he'd been talking to before as he felt one of Lonan's arms leave him, and heard him ask a question that brought everything right back into focus. Only he was a bit more calm than he had been before...well...not as angry anyways.
"Who is this lovely lady?"
Panic and fear however? Yeah, well that was a different story entirely. Though he didn't really feel it hit till he realized that Lonan had just reached out to touch her hair, tucking it behind her ear. Too close for comfort. MUCH TOO CLOSE. This was bad. Lonan didn't know about her ability to read minds, and that contact only made it easier for her to do so. He didn't quite know the entire situation. However he couldn't just pull him away and tell him straight out in front of her. It would probably only encourage her to try something else. So what did he do?
He remembered that Lonan's arm was still around him and he got an idea as he flicked his gaze down to him and then back up slightly towards the woman, before he slid the hand that had been against the males back down till he could loop his arm around the others waist himself. He grinned a bit, his eyes narrowing at the girl just slightly as he tugged Lonan back against him, taking a few steps back away from her in the process. He knew this might clue her in that there was a reason he really didn't want him close, but at least this way he had a slight chance of making sure she couldn't touch him, or that Lonan couldn't touch her for now. Unless she was quicker than he expected. She had a chance of moving closer then before he could really react. He looked down at Lonan, the grin still on his face as he spoke, keeping himself positioned so he could still see her from the edge of his vision.
"Oh no one you should concern yourself with, dear Raven. Just a buzzard who seems to have taken a liking to circling over my head today. No one worth your time or attention." Ow, so much for keeping things a bit more discreet so as to not make her more interested in getting close. Forget digging the grave, he had already built himself a nice little nest at the bottom and was just waiting for someone to start shoveling the dirt down on top of him.

In fact he made everything worse, ten fold if anything. It was clear that he succeeded in getting under the stranger's skin more. While it wasn't his original intentions it was starting to work a little for him. Those who let their emotions rule over their actions often became 'blind'. That was something Octavian was started to see in the stranger.
"Aw~ If I told you there would be no fun in all of this!"To be fair, the stranger wasn't too far off. Either way the stranger didn't know and Octavian succeeded in unsettling the stranger whether he liked it or not. And there wasn't a thing that this person could do about it. He didn't quite hear everything the stranger said after that, but he got most of it to piece it together. "You could say that." He grinned.
'Why couldn't you have- I didn't want any of this but now...-uch of a choice.' Octavian wasn't sure what would become of that, but it was clear it was nothing good for him. Despite everything else that was going on in the rest of his surroundings, he kept his attention only on the stranger. He wanted to be prepared to run or fight. 'Wait...what the hell?' Whatever this was certainly enough to throw the stranger off, their attention was somewhere else. If Octavian really wanted to attack the stranger and run now was his chance, but he was way into this development to just leave it. He had an itching feeling that he was about to get more out of this. '...he manage to get that close-...that focused on the situation....wait a minute.' Now he had to look. It was probably safe to say that the stranger in front of him wouldn't do anything. Looking over his shoulder he saw a rather colorful person come into view.
'...What are you doing?'
'Nothing too bad will happen. I promise.'
There were two distinct voices in there. As much as Octavian wanted to look in that further he had another person to still deal with. At least until the newcomer made some indication that he knew this man. Whatever hopes the stranger had of keeping this rather contained might as well be thrown at the window. Sure he didn't know what the colorful fellow knew, but he was oblivious to this situation and there would be no real way the other could fill him in, not without Octavian catching on in some way."This lady is whoever you want her to be."he said, giving a flirtatious smile.
'-shameless.'
'...I know you find them attractive too.'
Octavian could work with this. He could work with this just fine. 'Odd?' Maybe not, but he may as well give it a shot. Though the other already moved to prevent more contact. These two knew something for sure, and the one with the headphones was making a point to keep Raven away from him. Not going to work buddy. Good try though.
"Awe, no need to be so cold~ It's all just fun and games. No need be rude."Octavian said with a small pout before moving to the other side of Raven. Was that even his name? Whatever for now it'll have to do.
Octavian then looped his arm around Raven's waist and little below the other's arm, barley touching the other stranger. Two for two. Just try to move away without making a scene or causing confusion for this guy.
But that wasn't going to be the end to it. Octavian decided to throw a little charmspeak in there, not to try to convince the stranger to do anything, but more rather make himself appear more appealing. "Surely we can all be friends here, right?"He laughed lightly. "They say three is a crowed, but I think It just adds too the fun. Don't you think?"He asked, looking up at Raven and gently placing his hand on their chest.
((ooc: yeah its got a range of sorts, how big it is I dont know yet lol. though if there is a great distance that I can pick up on between him and someone else I wouldn't make him hear it even if its underlined. vince u hoe. this is also kinda written weird cause i left some stuff out ptpth))

Lonan was surprised when he was suddenly pulled back by Crow. He stumbled a bit when they started taking steps back and ended up grabbing Crow's shirt to keep himself from falling. Obviously something wasn't right here. It wasn't normal for people to whisk others away from someone like that. At least, he didn't think so. Maybe if they had been dating or the other person was dangerous. He glanced over at her, she didn't look like a threat. His attention was brought back to Crow when he started speaking. Honestly, he wasn't expecting such an obvious dig at the woman. He heard Keenan chuckle in the back on his mind.
'Wow, I think that's the first time you've been even slightly amused since I've been here,' Lonan thought. It was a nice change of pace to feel amusement in the back of his mind instead of frustration, sadness, and anger. Hopefully, this was a sign that Keenan was getting adjusted to him being in control. He would never expect Keenan to be complete okay with how things were, but he hoped that they could at least get along in some capacity. Otherwise, the time they were together was going to be filled with arguments and guilt. He knew why Keenan didn't agree with his choices and had trust issues. He saw that much in his memories when he was trying to figure out what had changed while he was incorporeal. A part of him regrets choosing Keenan, but there wasn't anything he could do about it now. He didn't have enough energy to switch hosts. Nor did he have another host to go into. So, for now there wasn't anything they could do but learn to get along.
'There hasn't been much to be amused by.' Keenan thought, after a moment of silence. 'And currently, it's laugh or cry, because you are ridiculous and I'm stuck with your sorry a** for the foreseeable future. I'm going with laugh, cause I hate crying.'
Lonan couldn't help but grin. He hoped Crow thought it was because of his comment. His grin was replaced with a surprised look when he felt another arm come around his waist. He looked down at her, replacing his surprised expression with a smirk. He was about to reply, when Keenan interrupted his thought.
'Don't you dare.,' Keenan snapped. 'We have no idea who this woman is. All we have to go on is the fact that Crow doesn't like her and doesn't want us near her. At least, that's what I think he was trying to do. Now, she's plastering herself to us. Doesn't that seem odd to you?'
Lonan though about it for a moment. 'I guess? We have no idea what they were talking about before. For all we know it could be something completely stupid.'
'Or extremely important,' Keenan cut in.
'You are so paranoid. I wasn't even going to agree.' He stated. 'Yes I enjoy more carnal pleasures, but that doesn't mean I will lay down with everyone willing. Plus you aren't comfortable with either of them are you?'
'Not really no. We have no idea who she is and anything you do with him we'll have to deal later.'
'I'm okay with dealing with him later,' Lonan replied, suggestively. Lonan mentally laughed at Keenan's disdain.
'Just...don't do something stupid,' was Keenan's last comment before he went quiet.
Lonan resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Keenan acted like he was a child that didn't know what he was doing. Even though he was much older than Keenan would ever be. 'Then again...he treats his older brother like this too sometimes.' At least from what he saw in Keenan's memories they had a similar dynamic.
Pushing those thought aside, Lonan focused back on the woman who's hand was now resting on his chest. He hoped he wasn't sitting there staring for too long. He often lost track of time when conversing with Keenan. He smiled at her and said, "While I agree, it's no fun unless all parties are interested." He turned to look up at Crow. "What do you say, gorgeous? Are you okay with sharing?"

Then you might just understand." ___________________________________________________________________ Craith, for a moment, lifted his gaze to the woman before him, just to see her reaction to his words long enough to hear her words, and to see the pout on her face before he dropped his gaze back down to Lonan, just in time to catch the grin on his face. That of course only served to throw him off a little more, as he didn't seem to be looking at either him or the woman, which made him think it may not have been in response to what either of them were saying. He could be wrong of course, he didn't know Lonan that well after all. As for the woman's words... Fun and games? That's what she wanted to call it, really? What part of this was fun exactly? None of it was, to him anyways. Then again, of course she'd find it fun. She had information she didn't have before, and now, there was another opportunity that had just presented itself for her to learn even more. Then again, really there was no one he could blame for what was about to happen but himself.
Perhaps if he'd kept his mouth shut, or if he'd kept his words a little less harsh, things wouldn't have gone the way they were, but it was too late to really think on that. What was done was done, and now, he had to deal with the consequences. Even if that meant there might be more trouble for him later on down the road. He was sure he was already going to be in a bit of trouble from Taiki for letting himself get as far as he had, especially if "Raven" had no plans of hiding what happened here from him afterwards. Then again, he already knew he'd have to approach him about this after the whole situation was done and over with anyways, no matter what the outcome ended up being.
"Fun and games? Really?" He said, laughing, the sound sharp and bitter as he looked up just in time to see her reaching out to wrap her arm around Lonan's waist. Freezing for a moment he looked to her in surprise, then down to the male he held against him, some of the concern he felt showing in his eyes before he closed them. He had to grit his teeth to keep from snapping at the woman, which only helped to some extent as when he opened his eyes they had once again darkened a bit, and his lips twisted up into an odd sort of grin. "You're the only one here who really thinks so." He said, this time trying to keep some of the harshness out of his voice though obviously that didn't go well either. She was pushing her luck more and more by the moment, but he was sure she knew by this point that he couldn't really do too much with Lonan there, and especially so with him being so close. He might end up harming him in the process as well, and it would probably only make the woman more interested in them too. Not like her interest probably wasn't at the highest it could get.
'You really are trying to push your luck aren't you? It's rather sad to think, we might have even gotten along to some extent outside of this meeting. Now, however, you may have ruined those chances. Not that you care I'm sure. Too bad I may never get a chance to see what you look like beneath all that makeup you wear..' He thought to her as he felt her arm come in contact with his own. If he couldn't say it out loud, he would assault her mind with it. It was clear as well that his words held an impression of the anger he felt towards her, harsh enough that if you weren't expecting it, it might make you jump, especially if you weren't used to those impressions being accompanied by a sudden ripple of color in his mind. It wasn't his intention to attempt to make her react to it like that however, he simply wished to make her see how displeased he was. When it came down to information however, he was aware he needed to be careful now with the things he let pass through his thoughts, and he was determined to try and keep himself quiet.
Not that that had ever worked for him in the past mind you.
'I may be out of luck here unfortunately.' He muttered mentally to himself as he watched the woman place her hand against Lonan's chest, her words irking him further as he watched the other smirk in response to her questions and prodding. She needed to back off. He needed to get her away from them both somehow, and quick. How though? How could he get Lonan away from her without letting onto just what the other was to him, and what they both were? Then again, wasn't there a chance she already knew? What if she didn't? Once again he was stuck.
That is until he heard what Lonan had to say to her after a bit of a pause, and then his question when he turned to look back up at him. He was offering him a possible way of escaping this situation. Whether that would work or not was the question.
Also, gorgeous? He wasn't sure if he was simply using that in place of his name due to trying to keep it quiet or not, or if he meant it, but it did throw him off a bit. He couldn't, however, think about that right now, seeing as there was a bigger issue at hand.
"Dear Raven, are you suggesting I should share you with the lady here? I mean, normally, I probably wouldn't mind sharing all too much, but I think in this case I really should decline. Especially so after she was rude enough to just approach and put her hands on you like she had the right to do so." His voice held a faux sort of cheerfulness, and a bit of teasing to it as he looked down at the male, then back up at the woman. "And so shamelessly too! I mean look at all these people around watching. Who knows what they might think of her now?" Craith said, eyes flashing with a mix of his anger, mocking, and even a small flicker of mischief. Of course he had no room to talk, he had shown a clear disregard for shame himself when he'd pulled Lonan back against him before with is arm around his waist, but still, for her to suddenly approach and put her arms around him as well after he showed "clear signs" that he "had something" with the male must not have left the best impression on those around them. It might have been a bad move on her part. Though there was the chance she just wouldn't care enough. He hoped Lonan would make a move to get them away from her either way, especially so if nothing he said made her back off. 'I don't know how likely that is though...I mean he's still unaware of the actual situation...Come on ********, I need to think of something and fast, just in case..' He thought to himself, nearly slipping up and thinking his own name. He'd almost forgotten about her being in contact with him as well, but had caught himself at the last moment.
Hopefully she didn't realize he was about to reveal his name. He had to be careful...Not like he thought she might be able to get his name out of him though..Then again, there was always the chance she could get it out of Lonan...
"In fact, I think we need to be going now, don't you? We have places to be, things to do. And I'm sure you have places you need to be as well, don't you?" He said, wrapping the arm he had around Lonan's waist just a bit more tightly around him, almost instinctively, the second question directed at the woman. He was in a way just being protective, though some might think he was being possessive with the look he had in his eyes and the way he was behaving. He didn't think much of it though, in fact didn't realize that that might be what it seemed like either.
He might have some explaining to do later...and may have to deal with the situation he'd just created between him and Lonan later on as well. Though he wasn't sure what that might entail. He would deal with that when the time came, as he couldn't worry about it right now. _____________________________________________________________________ "I'm just a no one, an old Crow who knows no way to settle. I come and go as I please, no questions asked." _____________________________________________________________________ ▂ █ ▆ █ ▅ ▆ █ ▇ ☀ ☽ The Raging Phoenix ☾ ☀ ▇ █ ▆ ▅ █ ▆ █ ▂ "If you'd only stop and close your eyes, you'd find the answers!" Outside, you're trembling as you stand, in the falling rain You try to find where you belong, as you drown the pain You hear the voices crying, inside a world monochrome But their eyes are bleeding tears of magenta! ((Out of Cognition: UGH this is a bad post and I am ashamed of myself for it. -.- hopefully it's not too chaotic and the timing isn't bad? ))

- I'm stuck with your sorry a**..
Alright, there was more banter between the two in there and it was staring to take a little more on him trying to get every bit from them. 'We have no idea who-' That just sounded like it was going to be some conversation on not trusting him. '-For all we know it could be something completely stupid.' Confirmed.
Octavian decided to just start filtering out anything when it came to Raven and his pal. At least until something related to the gang or this stranger surfaced.
'-e'll have to deal later.'
'I'm okay with dealing with him later.'
Wait so was the stranger a higher up then? Then where did that put this guy? Or was it the other way around? What was that about? Octavian wanted to dwell on that longer when he heard Raven speak again. "Of course, there would be no fun in that."Vince said with a smile, glancing over at the stranger.
'You really are trying to push your luck aren't you? It's rather sad to think, we might have even gotten along to some extent outside of this meeting. Now, however, you may have ruined those chances. Not that you care I'm sure. Too bad I may never get a chance to see what you look like beneath all that makeup you wear..'
Octavian's smile widen upon hearing that thought, there was no point in hiding it now and Raven didn't catch on. Even then there was a chance that Raven wouldn't think much of the smile. But hearing that made his day. 'I may be out of luck here unfortunately.' Take that back this one did. Octavian was a little to proud with himself to have stuck the stranger as stuck as he was. On top of that he was playing two gang members on hand at the moment. It was like Christmas. Well more like finding some awesome toys in the stocking because it wasn't like they gave any real information for it to be a present.
Octavian chuckled as the stranger spoke in attempts to call him out,"I'll admit you got me there~ But I imagine this looks worse for you sweetheart." Octavian said referencing back to when the stranger made threats just before Raven showed up. Even then it still probably looked odd regardless. Though, at least Octvian had the upper hand on causing a scene if he needed too.
'I don't know how likely that is though...I mean he's still unaware of the actual situation...Come on ********, I need to think of something and fast, just in case..'
Upon hearing that Octavian let them both go, almost too suddenly, but he kept his smile. He wanted the stranger to know. He wanted to sell his act to the stranger to avoid them calling his bluff. But considering how worked up he got them, that didn't look like it was going to happen.
"You're right, I've actually got other places to be." He then backed up from the two taking a kiseru out from his coat pocket and brought it up to the corner of his lip as he did, letting it rest there while he held it gently in his hand. Then with one last smile he turned to leave the two before stopping mid walk, glancing back over his shoulder. "Oh- and Crow? If you want me to keep my mouth shut, find out my name and real face within three days. You're an observant guy so i'm sure that'll be an easy task for you~ In fact I'll even throw in a bonus treat because I had such a lovely time- but I won't spoil that for you. And for that you have my word."He said, walking away from the two. "I look forward to our next meeting! Try not to disappoint~"He called out to them both after putting some distance between them.

Lonan's smirk faltered at Crow's bitter tone, but at least it wasn't directed at him. He glanced between the two of them. He was pretty sure he underestimated the girl, because she wasn't fazed at all but his response. 'What have I gotten into?' he thought. He decided that it was probably better to not interrupt. Even though he was tempted to say something when Crow started talking to him, but he honestly wasn't sure what he would say.
'Rendered speechless? I'm shocked,' Keenan's voice rang out, causing him to jolt a bit. He had thought he was going to be quiet for a while. It wasn't unusual for Keenan to 'sleep' when he didn't want to be in a situation.
'Hush. I'm not sure what's happening anymore.' He replied, barely registering that Crow was talking to the woman again.
'I'm not surprised by that. You aren't exactly the most observant,' Keenan replied. 'Also, you are missing important information'
Lonan snapped to attention then, just in time to see her leave. He hadn't realized he'd spaced out talking to Keenan. He wasn't sure what to think of her parting words. Though the real face thing was a little odd, but so was this whole encounter. Keenan didn't even have much to say about it. Though that might just be him being tired.
After she was gone, he leaned away from Crow a bit and looked up at him. "So, what was all that about?" He asked, in reference to her parting words. "And don't say its none of my business cause that's bullshit. Also, what did she do to piss you off?" The last question was more his curiosity, but it would be nice information to know so he didn't accidentally do it. He was all for fighting, but he;d rather stay on his good side. At least for now.

Then you might just understand." ___________________________________________________________________ Craith twitched slightly as the woman brought up that the situation he was in probably looked worse for him than it did her. He knew she was probably referencing his actions from earlier when he was threatening her, and while he didn't think anyone in the crowd had actually heard or registered the threats he had made, he couldn't exactly be sure of that. Once again, she had turned the situation, at least slightly, back around on him.
He wanted to say something about it, but instead he kept his mouth shut, simply letting the cold look on his face, and his glare do the talking as the woman suddenly backed off from them, pulling out what seemed to be a kiseru of some sort, claiming that she did in fact have places to be. His gaze fell to what the woman had in her hand for a moment as he thought, and he quietly took note of how her stance changed when she had brought the pipe out. She appeared to be holding herself a bit differently than she had been before, and he doubted that was just because of how she held the thing. Either way, her having pulled away so quickly probably didn't bode too well for them, or well, for him at least it didn't. He was sure Lonan was more than likely okay, to some extent at least, as he hadn't been around her quite as long as he had been.
'Something tells me her next words are only going to piss me off a little more. Or stress me out more. Whatever the case, I'm prepared to deal with it.' He thought to himself, with a mental sigh.'I am going to be in so much trouble when I get back to Taiki though...I'm late enough as is. I was supposed to meet up with him an hour ago..and even if he's going to be pissed about me being late, when I have to tell him about this it's only going to be worse.'
He was not looking forward to dealing with that. At the same time though, he wanted desperately to be back at the base, talking to him. This entire situation had greatly unsettled him, just as the disappearance of his old second in command had, and he still hadn't quite recovered from that either. Yes Taiki, an old friend of his was now in that position...and he trusted him entirely, and knew he was good for it, but that didn't change the fact that another of his friends had just up and vanished with no explanation.
It's been two weeks since then, and now he had to deal with this...'Wait..what? What did she just say?' He froze, all other thoughts dropping away as the woman's words finally registered in his mind. All he could do was silently stare at her, eyes slightly wide as she turned to walk away from them. Realization was slowly dawning on him as she called out one last time, telling him that he was looking forward to their next meeting, and that he shouldn't disappoint her. That last line snapped him from his daze and without really thinking on it his grip loosened on Lonan for a moment as anger flashed through his eyes, turning them near blood red for just a second, before he forced them closed and turned his head away and towards the street.
She would regret her decision to challenge him, but at least she had managed to save herself from having to face his anger head on. Of course he didn't know exactly what she meant by him keeping her quiet simply by finding out her real identity within three days, as he doubted simply doing so would actually be able to keep her quiet, and he wasn't entirely sure how he felt about her claiming there would be a bonus treat in it for him, but he didn't have much choice but to go along with it. Well that's not entirely true, he could have just chased her down and stopped her, but for some reason he found himself letting her walk away. Well it's not like he had wanted to hurt her in the first place right?
"But did I hear her right? Did she actually call me Crow.?" He muttered aloud, though mostly to himself. Of course with how close Lonan was there probably was no way he would miss it, but at that moment he didn't really care. Not like he didn't know that as his code name anyways.
His eyes snapped open, color not quite back to normal, but not quite as red anymore as he felt Lonan pull back a bit from him. For just a moment he seemed to forget what he was doing, and for some reason instinctively tightened his grip on him as though to keep him there. When he heard his voice however he snapped out of it and flicked his gaze over to him, looking apologetic.
"Sorry...umm..yeah I guess this entire situation must seem kind of odd huh?...I do owe you an explanation I think... I did get you mixed up in this mess after all." He said quietly, sighing softly, suddenly feeling exhausted and more like his age. It probably showed through in his eyes to some extent, along with the stress, and worry about the situation they had both just been in. A million thoughts flooded his mind, on how he would handle it all, and he was going over every little thing that had happened between the three of them, to make sure he didn't miss any of it. He'd need all of it if he wanted to figure out who that woman really was in three days time. After a moment, he finally lifted his gaze to see if the crowed was still gathered around them. There were a few people, but most seemed to have decided to wander off after the woman had parted ways. Those who remained though, seemed to realize when he looked in their direction, that they should move on quickly as well, and turned to leave. He shifted his gaze back to Lonan.
"First, I should thank you, Lonan. Honestly if you hadn't shown up, I probably would have made...a lot of mistakes. More than I already have today. Second, I should say that I am sorry if I've made you uncomfortable in anyway, or if I've caused you any problems with all of this." He shifted on his feet a bit, glancing around the street as though trying to make sure there was no one watching them too closely, as though making sure there were no threats. "I'm willing to deal with any issues I may have caused you as well..Though that might want to wait till I've explained what I can about the situation."
Honestly he wasn't looking forward to having to tell the other this, as he wasn't sure how he'd react when he found out she was able to read minds, but he felt he didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Something told him it might not sit well with the male, but there wasn't anything he could do about it now.
"I hate to tell you this..but the reason I was trying to keep you away from her had a lot to do with the last thing she said there. It also has a lot to do with what she did to piss me off." He paused in his explanation to study the other for a moment, just barely realizing that he was still holding on to him even though the situation had passed. "Lonan...she could read minds...and apparently if she is in contact, she can hear them much more clearly...so anything you might have thought there, or that I might have thought, she could have heard. Unfortunately..I've been around her most of the afternoon...So there is a very real possibility she may have learned some things she really shouldn't know. About me, about you, about the gang in general.
"That last comment she made, was a challenge to me. She was basically telling me that if I found out who she really is, in three days time, then she'll keep quiet about everything she learned. I'm not one to turn down challenges easily...so I'll take it..but. I don't know what she means by it. I can't just let her roam free though...not with..." He suddenly cut himself off before he could say "my gang" or "My People". That could have gotten him in even more trouble, and he wasn't really ready for others to know about his position yet. It didn't help that Lonan was pretty new to the gang. He wasn't sure just how much he could trust him yet, even though if the situation they had gone through said anything, he felt he might be able to trust him to some extent at least. "Not with the gang possibly at risk because of her...She pissed me off...also because while she was honest with me, she still basically told me if someone offered the right price, she might sell the information she got from me. I couldn't allow that...perhaps I was being a bit irrational but...I don't know." He shook his head sighing softly.
"Ah but...that's all I think I should explain right now...we have other matters we need to both discuss and deal with. Tell me Lonan, why is it you are still wearing the same clothes as you were when I brought you here? And also, why does it smell like you just washed them with normal soap? Do you..not have other clothes with you?...Actually thinking on it I don't recall you bringing any other bags with you when you were given the key to your room. Do you need to go out and get some things? Or do you have things elsewhere and just have no way of getting them here?" _____________________________________________________________________ "I'm just a no one, an old Crow who knows no way to settle. Tonight I’m coming over We can play these selfish games Your mind is growing colder At the thought of losing me
▃ ▃ ▃▃ ▃▃▃ ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ ▃▃▃ ▃▃ ▃ ▃
Did you ever call him Crow? Out loud I mean. Keenan asked, quietly. It took Lonan a moment to figure out what he had been talking about. He was too busy thinking about the girl that just left and their situation to catch what Craith had said. Apparently, Keenan still did though. Not that he was surprised. Keenan was more observant than him.
After thinking on it for a moment, he replied, No I don’t think I did. He had avoided calling him by name. For one, his reaction to the pet names he was calling him were amusing. The other was that he didn’t think it would be appropriate. He had know idea what she knew him by, and calling him Crow or Craith could have given something away that she didn’t need to know. Judging from his comment I don’t think he told her. Do you?
Yeah, I don’t think –
Lonan didn’t hear what Keenan had said as he felt Craith pull him closer. It was unexpected, but not unwelcomed. Though it seemed like he didn’t do it on purpose if the look on his face was anything to go by. He tried to give him a reassuring smile when he saw his apologetic expression. It was a bit difficult to manage, because Keenan was starting to get agitated. Most likely, because he ignored him a few minutes ago. Oh well. He would have to get over it. He couldn’t always divide his attention between him and the outside world.
He couldn’t help but smile that the odd comment. At least he realized that it was an odd situation to be in. He also apologized for it, which he knew Keenan would appreciate more than him. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate it, but it also wouldn’t bother him if he had never apologized for it. Craith didn’t drag him into this. He involved himself, without realizing. He hoped that whatever mess this was, it wouldn’t end up badly for him or Keenan.
Speaking of Keenan, he made this choking noise when Craith thanked him. He could feel the disbelief and mild horror coming off him in waves. Honestly, Lonan was a little bit surprised, but he wasn’t about to get upset. At least not towards Craith. He felt Keenan’s reaction was a little over dramatic and not needed. Rude. Why shouldn’t I be thanked if I helped?
I wouldn’t call what you did helping. More like inappropriate public displays of affection. Most likely unwanted, but who knows. Maybe he’s just as weird as you.
Obviously, he doesn’t mind considering his arm is still around my waist. Now hush, he thought, before smiling at Craith. “No worries. It’s no trouble. And it takes a lot more than that to make me uncomfortable.” He winked after the last bit, which gave him the distinct feeling Keenan would be rolling his eyes in disgust if they were currently under his control. His expression turned serious when Craith brought up the fact that there was more to it and he probably wouldn’t like it. Which was true. He very much didn’t like it, but his annoyance was nothing compared to the sudden influx of emotion Keenan gave off. He couldn’t help the fact that his eyes widened, or the panicked look that came across his face.
Whoa, what’s wrong? He asked, trying to pay attention to both Keenan and Craith.
What do you mean what’s wrong? Do you want some stranger poking around in our minds? Then again this is you. You probably don’t considering you don’t have any regard for personal boundaries. His voiced hissed in the back of his mind.
Hey. I do mind thank you very much. I don’t want someone poking around my head. He also hasn’t mentioned anything about past memories. So it was probably just stuff we were actively thinking about. Lonan snapped back. He focused back on Craith. Getting most of what he said. Though he didn’t exactly get what he meant by a challenge, but that was between him and her. He didn’t think Craith wanted his help with that. “So, you have to figure out who she really is or she’s going to sell everything she knows about you and me and Kee-“ He was cut off by a sudden screech in the back of his skull. It made him slam his eyes shut in pain.
No! Keenan screamed inside his skull. It made him feel like it his skull was being split in half. This is bullshit. All of it. You. Him. Her. I didn’t ask for this s**t. And what kind of bullshit was that? He heard Keenan make this horrible laughing noise. You don’t want someone poking around in your head, but it’s perfectly okay to complete take over someone else. Give me a break.
He grimaced and grabbed his head. Calm down. Those are two different things. Normally you wouldn’t be here. So there usually isn’t someone else to poke around my memories. He regretted telling him that as soon as he finished the thought, but there was no taking back that piece of information.
And that makes all the difference. I have to suffer simply because you ******** failed in killing me.
Lonan sighed. “That’s not,” he said out loud, without thinking. Keenan was quick to cut him off with a harsh laugh.
Spare me your excuses.
Lonan growled and stepped away from Craith, running his hands through his hair and yanking on it. “Just shut up and listen to me for one second dammit,” he hissed under his breath. I didn’t mean it like that. My goal isn’t to kill people. Granted, most of them do die. Either there consciousness disappears, or their bodies give out. There’s nothing I can do about that. I’ve never really had to deal with someone sticking around for this long. You have lasted the longest as far as still being awake out of all the people I have ever possessed. He quickly explained. Hoping that Keenan would try to understand.
Why do you possess people at all? Keenan asked, there was still anger in his voice, but it was no longer the seething hatred it was a moment ago.
”I would rather live with the knowledge that I have killed people and feel alive, than live as if I don’t exist, “he whispered. Lonan decided it would be easier to show him. That way he couldn’t just brush it off as some elaborate excuse.
He pulled up the memories of his life when he was just himself. It wasn’t easy. He didn’t like remembering those times and honestly there wasn’t much to remember. Most of that time was filled with impressions of things. He could hear things, and see in a sense. He didn’t have eyes, but he was always aware of his surrounding. He was just a spectator. Alone with himself and no real concept of the time that pasted between one body and the next.
After a few moments, Lonan focused back on what was happening around him. Just in time to hear Craith’s observation about his clothes. He had hoped he would be able to find a solution to that before anyone noticed. He wasn’t even sure how to answer. He technically didn’t have anything, but Keenan did. Though he had no idea if Keenan was willing to let him take his things.
Hey, we never decided what to do about clothes and stuff. What do you want to do about that? He asked, tentatively. Keenan had been quiet after he showed him his memories and he couldn’t feel any emotions from him. Part of him wondered if his memories were enough to shove Keenan out of his mind forever. He had mixed feelings about that, which was a little concerning. He gently pushed at where Keenan usually resided in his mind. It took a moment, but he felt Keenan stir.
I…I’m not sure what to say. I’ll admit that your memories…whatever that was exactly are awful. I don’t blame you for wanting an escape. He could hear him sigh. We’ll have to talk about this some more. Later. When there aren’t others to see you mumbling to yourself and acting like a crazy person.
Lonan gave a small chuckle to that. He turned looked back at Craith, who was waiting for his answer and smiled. “Yeah, about that… “ He ran a hand through his hair, nervous. “I don’t currently have anything at the moment. “
We’ll go get my stuff, Keenan said, reluctantly. But its not going to be easy and he’s not allowed in my apartment. He quickly added. He didn’t want this to be more complicated than necessary.
Lonan grinned. He was tired of wearing the same clothes. It was also exciting to see where Keenan lives. He tried so hard to keep his memories and thoughts secret from Lonan that he knew next to nothing about the guy. Just that he had a brother. Everything else was unimportant vague facts, like that his favorite animal was sheep.
“I do have stuff I can go get. Though I don’t think I can carry all the way back here.” There was no way he could shadow step with a duffle bag full of clothes and other items across multiple cities. “Is there any chance you can take me to get my things?” Any lingering aggravation left his expression. Instead he was excited at the prospect of getting new stuff and getting more info on Keenan.

Then you might just understand." ___________________________________________________________________ For some time, Craith remained quiet as he observed Lonan, taking in the way he was behaving between each of his responses. It seemed as though something wasn't quite sitting right with the other, and it wasn't just because of the things that happened with the woman from earlier. Of course he had no doubt that was probably part of the problem, but it definitely wasn't the only one. When the male winked at him, he cocked his head a bit to the side. He wasn't as oblivious to some things as people might think, as if he had been, he probably wouldn't have made it nearly as far in life as he had. A small laugh escaped him, though his amusement towards the others response was rather mild compared to the amount of worry he had for him.
He'd known from the first time he met the other that he wasn't the original owner of the body he was in. It was impossible to miss with his senses. Lonan was definitely a demon, that much he could at least tell, but as for whatever the person who had originally owned the body used to be or maybe even still was he wasn't sure. Watching him and observing was all he could really do, and was what he had planned on doing for a while after the guy had joined up with them. It seemed though, that fate had other plans, and instead brought the male to him, and was now going to give him the chance to see what was going on with Lonan himself.
'I can't imagine, if the guy who originally owned the body is still there, that things are easy for either of them. I'm sure things are especially difficult for the one that was forced to give up his own body though. Unless it was willing...which for some reason I doubt.' He thought to himself as he watched Lonan's expression change at the news of the woman being able to read minds. It wasn't too big of a surprise as he expected some kind of reaction from them, though perhaps a bit more drastic of one than he seemed to be offering. The short silence the other fell into after was what really caught his attention however. Granted he was probably listening to what he had to say, but still. After that kind of shock, to say nothing? He was starting to wonder. Then again, it was like that even before, when the woman was there. He'd go quiet for a while, and after seem only partially aware of what was going on. Like when the woman left, it had seemed he'd missed a large chunk of that conversation, judging by the way he'd reacted to it afterwards.
'Well..I guess that cut off answered that question, and the fact that he seems to be in pain suddenly...' He thought to himself, just barely fighting off the urge to reach up and touch the guys shoulder or to pull him closer for a hug. Something told him it might not go well, mostly because of the other person in the body. Whatever was happening was enough to be causing pretty severe outward reactions. It made it no easier for him to keep from reaching out when he reached up to grab his head, or when he started speaking aloud. It was even more difficult when Lonan growled, and stepped away from him, but he let him go, instead putting his hands in his pockets to keep his instincts from getting him to possibly cause the male more trouble.
"Lonan..." He whispered aloud as he watched him, hearing him snap out, telling someone, more than likely the person in his head, to shut up and listen. He kept himself quiet just in case he was wrong and the words were directed at him, though judging by the way he stayed silent for a few moments after before the next outburst, he felt he was safe. Even still he remained quiet, choosing not to speak until the other finally turned to him after a much longer pause. He tried to act like he thought nothing much of what had happened, and blinked when the other smiled at him, finally directing his words at him and not the person he shared a body with.
"I had a feeling you didn't have anything. I should have asked before, when I originally brought you in, but I had something I needed to check out, and I'll be honest, it slipped my mind. To make it worse, it seems I completely failed at what I came out here for, when I got sidetracked dealing with that woman." Not that he thought looking for more details on the possible whereabouts of the old second in command would have come up with anything new, but it didn't hurt to try again right? 'Well, it wouldn't have hurt if I hadn't run into that woman, anyways..'
"Oh?" He asked, blinking at the sudden change in the others mood. Granted he had seemed at least slightly more cheerful than he had been before he'd turned his focus back on him with a smile, but this time he seemed to have suddenly become excited. He wondered why that might be exactly. Though he figured it might at least slightly have something to do with the fact he had things he could go get. Where that was though was the question. Where would a shadow demon be able to go to get things it owned? Then again, he wasn't sure how long he'd been in control of the body. "I can help yes, I wouldn't want you to be left without your things. I have a car we can take, though we'll have to make a stop at the base. We aren't going to walk all the way through the city to the outskirts to get it. We can take my bike out there."
"Though...depending on how soon you want to go. I may have to make a stop to talk to Taiki first. About this situation. I feel I may be in just a bit of trouble with him though...Just a bit." _____________________________________________________________________ "I'm just a no one, an old Crow who knows no way to settle. Lonan smiled at Craith’s apology, waving his hand in a dismissive gesture. “It’s okay. I wasn’t sure what I was doing about stuff till just recently. So, no worries,” he said, pausing for a moment before adding. “Though that sucks you couldn’t get stuff done.”
‘What do you think he had to do?’ Keenan asked, curious as to what the gang members did on a day-to-day basis.
‘Does it matter?’ Lonan replied. ‘We have other things to worry about. Like new clothes.’
Lonan could hear Keenan sigh in the back of his head and he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at him. There would be time for gang stuff later.
His focus was brought back to Craith when he answered his question about helping him get his stuff. He couldn’t help the smile that spread across his face, or the fact that he started bouncing a bit in place. Especially, when motorcycles were brought up. Lonan had stolen one once, but he didn’t get to keep it for long. He was excited to get to ride one again.
‘I don’t know what I should be more concerned about. The idea of you driving or him,’ Keenen chimed in after getting a glimpse of Lonan thoughts. Keenan was a good driver, but he didn’t have much experience with motorcycles. Part of it was because of his brother. There was no way he was letting him on a motorcycle, nor did he want to drive with him on one.
‘Hush. It’ll be fine. Plus we don’t have many options at the moment,’ Lonan replied, pouting a little inside at Keenan’s like of confidence in his driving ability. It wasn’t like he needed his own anyway. Most of the time he could rely on whatever experience and muscle memory the host had. Though if Keenan had never driven a motorcycle he should probably leave that to Craith.
He almost missed Craith last comment. It took him a moment to process and figure out what he was talking about. He had met Taiki briefly when he first joined, but hadn’t seen much of him since then. Though, if Craith needed to talk to him, it was probably best to get that out of the way. “That’s fine. You don’t want to get in trouble with the boss. I would like to go soon though. I’m not sure how much longer I can stand these clothes and I don’t think anyone wants me roaming around naked at the inn.” He said laughing. “Anyway, since we have things to do let’s get a move on,” he said, grabbing Craith’s arm and dragging him back toward the base.
