"It would help a great deal. And it might be nice to get you out and about too. I know Rin was concerned you weren't taking good care of yourself too. As for believing, that's my job, and it comes even easier when my client and the individual I am communicating with are both so helpful."
He did not look upset at all about the kiss. "It is absolutely fine. Like I say, I willingly hand my body to the people to whom I speak, if it makes them happy to have physical contact then it also makes me happy. When Rin is in control of my body, she is all that matters, any boundary overstepped is a boundary less between you and her and one step closer to setting her free."

"I suppose. Haven't had much reason to go out these days. Only went out to get parts for the greenhouse irrigation system. That and Al suckered me out of a meal."
He leaned back on the table nearby. "I suppose that works. You must have done that plenty of times to be this lax all of this. I don't think I could be this willing to let anyone take over my body."
One hand brushed againt the back of his gloved hand. "I appreciate that you keep yourself so...well maintained. Not all hunters care about their body outside of not getting it torn..." He trailed a moment before blinking back.
"You brush often?" He had to hope....just in case there was a repeat with Rin. Despite how weird the body lending was, that this was a man he barely knew, he missed Rin. The kiss only made him desperate for more.

"I have done it a few times. It is a satisfying job, it brings people a lot of joy." he smiled fondly at Melvin, stretching lazily as if he had done a long day's work.
"But my body is my temple, I spend several hours simply getting myself prepared to face the world."
"Brushing? After every meal, in the morning, at night. Sometimes when I simply feel like it is needed" Jan clarified. "Cleanliness is very important, very very important. Perhaps the most important thing, at times. Cleanliness is next to godliness."

"That makes sense then. I wasn't sure if .. You had other reasons." Of course not. Jan wasn't him. His body had a purpose and he was aware enough of its importance to make decisions to keep it in pristine condition. Even if Jan didn't have the same little voice demanding he kept clean, that didn't stop Melvin from wondering what measures Jan used to maintain his temple.
"It shows. The maintaining your temple thing and all. I noticed your nails too so, yeah."
"I also think the same thing."
He should probably stop saying things.

"I am amazed that you noticed." he said. "And flattered. Though I confess it can be a trifle embarassing, some people consider dutiful attention to one's body obsessive. I am of the opinion however that they are merely callous and lazy." He shook his head dismissively.
"And I despise the communal showers, half the time I have to go in and clean the shower area I intend to use thoroughly before I will set one foot inside it. People are utterly disgusting. " he wrinkled his nose. He could endure any manner of discomfort without truly suffering, but the fact remained the inclination was not to.
"You are wiser than them. It is probably the first time I have not been desiring a shower just from the contact we had." he smiled, all perfect teeth. "I would share a communal shower with you pardner."

"I do find the communal showers disgusting. I bring my own spray to sprinse the shower beforehand and then let the water rinse it away before using it. I don't have the mindset to just step into used bandages and whatever hair that has accumulated over the week without a care. I think too many people feel we are invincible that they don't consider that just because we can't get a cold from it doesn't mean I want to walk in it." He said, wanting to cringe at some of the horrible showers and bathrooms he had opened and quickly turned away from.
"Wish I could spend longer in the showers sometimes without the hot water running out. I can't get through half the products I need sometimes without having to switch to another shower." He sighed, hating he had to keep switching just to get his full shower routine done.
"I also don't like the privacy. I wish I was a full hunter in order to have my own room and bathroom. I've heard some hunters can modify their rooms, and if that is true, I'd love to modify mine into one of the largest ones that building codes for this place would allow." Of course, he had shared this with Rin already who didn't seem all that opposed considering what they often got up to in the showers.
Which was hard not to envision when Jan brought up sharing a shower. He wasn't sure the man knew that, given off the video he let him see, that a shower for him wasn't just a place to get clean. It was a place that made him feel comfortable, relaxed, and often time gave him a wandering eye for other hunters. Steam and suds were what leather straps and bull whips were for other people.
He tried not to stare at Jan too hard. "I...that's flattering."

Lawrence nodded in full agreement with Melvin's comments on the shower, he always found himself mildly irritated by the short duration of the hot water but refused to leave himself open to comment or scorn by pursuing it to the next shower station. "I tend to simply leave once the hot water runs out, I have a kettle in my room that I heat water up in in order to take my time. It is certainly not ideal in any way." He sighed wistfully at the thought of his own bathroom. He'd had one briefly while Chantelle had managed to reel in Jerry, and also while he'd managed to get fleeting use of Rep's room. It was a Thing That He Wanted and that meant that ultimately down the line he would get it one way or another.
"That sounds absolutely ideal." he said. "Before the island I had an utterly luxuriant shower setup. The shower itself was room sized more or less, with frosted glass walls and a more than ample hottub. There was even a fireplace in the same room to make sure it was warm in winter even before I stepped into the water. " He smiled. "I was a man of wealth and taste."
"This island disregards even basic human rights regularly." he said. "If you do get a shower of that caliber, I would very much appreciate some use of it. I give you my most solemn word that I would be worthy of it." he smiled a little wider. "I would not be averse to submitting myself for inspection prior to any such privilege either."

"That sounds wonderful. I never had a great shower. I had a roommate and we had communal showers there too, but at home I had a nice setup. I couldn't really tear down walls and modify the family house, but I could make sure that the one bathroom was mainly mine. That and my sister's but she knew to keep it clean and we had it organized to keep her stuff organized and separated from my things."
"I may not have that much wealth as a hunter, but I can save up and work up to the bathroom of my dreams once I get my own place. I would like to have more privacy to share with Rin later on." He admitted, not having to say what that even meant.
"After all the help you are giving us, I think both of us will be fine with giving you full access to our bathroom until you become a full hunter." He laughed a bit. "I think you're the first person I wouldn't have to spot check after you shower. If you keep yourself under strict maintenance, then I think my bathroom would be safe with you." He was also curious as to what products he even used.

Lawrence looked very flattered, meeting Melvin's stringent standards seemed to utterly delight the blonde man. "I would very much appreciate it as long as it is not intruding upon you and Rin. And yes, no worries at all, I am exceedingly stringent, I may not be one for physical labour but I will work up a sweat cleaning and taking very good care of myself."
Melvin smelled good to his nose, Butch did not find the artificial scents interesting, but Lawrence did, there were layers, a swirl of different things which layered around the blonde man. "I have to say, even business aside, it is very pleasant to meet someone who understands the value of a proper shower. Rin explained things, and I admit that I am also relieved that I am not alone in my eccentricities. She wishes you would not carry so much guilt about it and I agree, it is more common than you might think!"

"It wouldn't intrude if you text before. We both know how much an inconvenience it is to not have our own shower, and she's rather accepting of...how we both are. She's very organized herself. Despite how wild she is, she loves her label maker. Our room is more organized because of her." He pointed out.
He continued to lean on the table. "I haven't met many people who had my strong standards and ..habits. Most people wouldn't talk about it. I've been called Neat Freak. Metrosexual. Vain. Pretty boy. p***y. a**l. Just everything you can think of." He paused a moment.
"Robot too. Seems being clean about your person, and not interacting like everyone else does makes you inhuman." He said, his feathers dropping a moment before he looked back at Jan.
"I don't think it's as common to my degree. If it was, most people wouldn't try so hard to fix it. "

"I will be sure to give you plenty of notice then if it comes to that, thank you." All of the man's comments on Rin's habits and organization were noted and added to the already extensive file on the woman.
"People don't talk about it, but that does not mean that it doesn't exist. I have yet to meet someone who on meeting me says they are into the more wild things in the bedroom, but it turns out in the end, in the heat of the moment that they are. And people are cruel, they will fixate upon any difference as an excuse, if it was not that it would be something else."
He smiled. "People fear perfection, it scares them. I find myself called inhuman very often indeed, you are not alone in that either. You will find that they do not wish to "fix" it, so much as simply to remove something that makes their own habits seem uncomfortable." He ran his hand through his bright blonde hair. "You are fine Melvin, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you and a great number of things which are right."

Melvin simply nodded, feeling a bit better in the presence of someone who not only agreed with him, but also felt that his way of living was the better alternative. It was a rare conversation to have, and he felt secretly overjoyed to have someone who shared similar believes as him that he could talk about even simple things as toothpaste. Despite loving Rin, sometimes she didn't get when he got excited over finding an exact brand of shampoo at the store when they went off island, or his extensive talk about which loofah was best in removing dead skin vs which ones were most sanitary.
"I'm glad you get it." He said, appreciating his words.
"Uh...do you want to look around a little more? It gets a bit humid here if you stay here too long." Even if Melvin did for extensive periods of time.
