" Well... not directly above, but in the branches above this place! So we can have a house of our own but it'd be near the family... That and we can use the rooms here for more practicing or for lessons." A home for her and Rastian! And baby... It had been rather cluttered in the theater when they'd had a small place in the back where they'd lived. Senja stuck her tongue out at Rastian and pulled the carpet away; "Carrying this isn't going to hurt me or the baby! And exercises is good for me... will keep off too many extra pounds." She sighed as she dumped the carpet in front of a door where she'd been placing all the her stuff in for now. She was rather worried about the extra weight; performers had to look their best! Plus she liked being skinny.... and was nervous as to how much weight would stick around after the birth. "I've already told my brothers I wouldn't move furniture... but that's the only exception I'm making for now!" She declared stubbornly as she slid her hand in his as they walked back to the room of boxes. "I'm not good at sitting still or taking things easy for long periods of time, Rastian.. never will be!"

Rastian shook his head. Why was she being so difficult? This behavior was almost reminiscent of Ogbonna, and that was saying something! He went for the carpet again and hung onto it's edge, his expression unphased.
"Senja, really, please." He continued, letting out a huff. "I understand the need to stand and not be dormant for long periods at a time, but I just don't want to take any chances, alright? You're precious to me."
He leaned upwards and kissed her on the lips, partly in hopes of swiping the carpet from her while she was distracted. He wasn't going to let up about this and he'd use every tactic he could. She was pregnant and needed to rest, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

She relinquished the carpet unwillingly... but if he put it that way... And gave her butterfly kisses while at it, she might as well give it to him. Because she wanted more kisses to make up for his absence, she pulled him back for a longer kiss after relinquishing it. "Humph! Be that way!" She flounced off back down the corridor, swishing her hips deliberately. It was a bit harder than normal to walk seductively but she managed to make it work. Back at the storage room she pulled a few boxes (heavy ones she knew her husband would object to her moving) out into the bright light of the hallway. One was slightly lighter and smelled of parchment and ink; curious as to what was in it, she opened that one first. There were scores of music in there... and paintings. "Oh!" She said as she pulled out a frame picture. "This is an old one!" She smile softly as she looked at it. It was a family portrait, one a painter friend had done for them... She was a small girl in it, her hair short and in tiny braids. Her littlest sister was still a baby... and in her parents arms. "I was too cute back then." She said smugly to herself.

Rastian lingered in the kiss for just a second before rolling his eyes at Senja as she flounced away. He swore his wife was just trying to give him a heart attack before he turned fifty, and in all honesty, he was amazed had hadn't had one already. He'd already had both of his arms broken, nearly succumbed to flesh eating bacteria, and been through enough danger to encompass several lifetimes, whatever else the universe wanted to throw at him would only be icing on the cake. He huffed out a soft puff of air and followed Senja back to the storage room, his expression becoming pensive. An old portrait of Senja and her family? A smile rose to his cheeks. Awww...
"Oh, you were adorable, Senja!" He cooed, tracing his finger along the old portrait. "With those little braids and those little cheeks! I hope our baby turns out to be just as darling as you!"
He laughed and wrapped an arm around Senja, his eyes turning to the floor.
"You know, I never got to see what I looked like as a baby. You're really lucky to have this, Sen." He said, giving her a peck on the cheek. "I wonder if someone would paint us together, with our baby..."

Lavender Hues her teasing him and making him have mini scares is good for him 8D Senja giggled and snuggled into Rastian. "I was a little monster! I remember having to sit for this and the painter told me to go run around the tree to try and get rid of my energy!" She chuckled and looked at it. Good times... Now I get to be in my parents spot, but hopefully I don't have twins like Kumea and Jumea! They were worse than she was as a kid! "Ahh baby.." Senja said with a gentle smile as she caressed his face with her hand. "Of course we can! Neued is an old city and there are tons of artists who make a living on family portraits. I was planing on it in fact." She smiled and tugged on one of Rastians locks of hair; "I wanted one of just you in fact. And one of both of us." She felt a little bad for Rasitan; the luxuries she'd grown up with were often taken for granted. She certainly hadn't thought that others wouldn't be able to have paintings of their loved ones...

Rastian blushed. A portrait of just him? He felt that would be a little much, because, really, who wanted to paint a picture of him? Still, if Senja wanted to have a portrait of him, he'd do it for her. She was his world, after all. That, and the little one resting inside of her.
"I think that's a lovely idea, Senja." He mused, giving her a nuzzle. "We could hang them up in the sitting room so everyone can see the family we've made. Just imagine..."
He paused, turning toward the door, and moved his hand out expressively.
"A sitting area, a fire place, maybe even a few cabinets for storage..." He said, smiling. "Our home is going to be so beautiful, I just know it."

"And Rooms. Plus kitchens and stuff. And a whole room for storage... I collect things like a postuca!" She chuckled and tugged on a lock of his hair. "And the house will be above the theater. Separate from it but close enough. That way we can escape the family."
it was a happy idea; a nice change from the gloom that had followed the war. Life out of death.. there was a beautiful image there.
