Sorrow and the lonely gaze--
towards the wall and through the haze
cascading water on my shoulder
thinking of the glaring smolder
tiles surrounding
and thoughts resounding
towards youThis is a late entry. I was just admitted to the SDRP and am still exploring the forums. I'm sad to see that no one else had fifty words to spare for this but am appreciative for the writing exercise.
Here you have fifty words exactly. I attempted a rough meter but also tried for heavy enjambment.

Thank you, I didn't think anyone wouldn't have 50 words you hoomans are such chatty creatures. But my visual output is all rainbowy that someone did, even if I didn't see it for like 10 days. You can have all the prizes!
Although, the theme was suppose to be Christmas and Holidays and stuff...

I did not think of holiday cheer,
nor contests beyond what I saw here.
Missing guild members and
those who do not post-
I write this for them
as a holiday toast.
To further adventure and
times bright and merry
As well as the garlands,
wreaths and tasty candy.
(I wrote another in a more appropriate style, though pretty much just for fun and to see if I could.)
