Maebe stiffened at the mention of horsemen, but she made the mistake of getting a better look at the gashes along his arm, and regretted how callous and flippant she was being about the entire thing. Regret faded within seconds, because it was not an emotion that managed hooks within her heart, and instead she felt all the more adamant about kissing him better. "Fine. But that just means I take off mine, too. If you think you can handle that sacrifice, go ahead." She felt in that moment the ridiculous smile on her face; the one that showed too much emotion, and was immediately wiped clean once she was aware of it. It was goofy, and it was embarrassing. If anyone but Cami or Otto saw it, she would never forgive herself. She cleared her throat, wiped that silly grin off of her face, and waved him off to go take off her shirt.

Otto loved her goofy grin. Loved it more than anything. It was so genuine, and bright. He took it in, it's rare appearance, and hoped it'd come again more often. Without further ado, Otto sat up in the bed, pulling off his shirt from the back and forward over his head. He let it fall between them, looking down at the wrappings and stick on bandages covering small to large scale gashes the weapon and claws had done. He'd been lucky. It could have been worse. "They probably won't scar. Well, maybe not most of them." The bigger gashes probably would. One across his chest, and a few in his forearms, where he'd tried to defend himself. Everything else was scrapes and cuts that would fade soon enough.

Maebe stayed right where she was, and watched the shirt come off. He was injured more than she'd expected, and far more than she'd realized when he'd first come home to a grumpy cat girlfriend who'd messed up all of his stuff. There was a twinge of regret, once more twisting her insides, and once more disappearing before she could do anything about it. "You're a tough cookie." She complimented, following the traces of injury with curious eyes. "Were you alone out there? You should stop fighting horsemen on your own. One day you're going to come home neutered, and you won't be able to sate my constant raging hormonal desires." She sat up slowly, curled her fingers under her babydoll t-shirt, and pulled it up over her head. The fabric crumpled as it dropped on the bed, and she flopped once more to lay down lazily. "Speaking of which." Her tone took on a more serious edge. "We're not having sex with you that injured. I don't have a blood kink."

"I was alone, yeah.." He admitted. He should have known better. In hindsight, it made sense. He sassy comment made him smirk lightly, shrugging it off. "Ah. We wouldn't want that." He remained sitting once she laid back down, not caring to flop down on his side at all, considering his state of health. She could be shirtless without the promise of sex, and it was still just enough. "I'm actually glad you said that, cause I cant say I'm in the mood for ripping out my stitches." He replied seriously in return. He really only wanted the affection of kisses and closeness. Even on a normal day, he wasn't always up for sex. Pun intended. "It woulda sucked to turn you down, otherwise."

"Right." Maebe's expression turned sly, and her eyes lidded in amusement. "Because you would have turned me down. Keep telling yourself that, sweetheart." She reached out, took his hand to intertwine her fingers with hers, and held it close to her face, pressing it against her cheek. She looked close to beginning the kiss therapy, but she hesitated for a minute, a thoughtful expression darkening her features. "Please don't go out there alone, anymore." Maebe murmured into the skin of his hand. "What's the point of having not one, but two women love you, if you can't rely on us every once in a while? Or if not us, someone. Anybody." She left it at that, but her eyes were still begging, even when she kissed the back of his hand as her first of many.

His eyes left hers to look out the window. Her words made him worry for Cami. Always alone out there in the desert. Something bad could and would happen to her. To Maebe. To him. Whether or not someone was there didn't matter. Bad things found a way to tear you apart, and all those you loved. "I'll try.." He murmured, gaze falling to his hand, being gently kissed by his pretty girlfriend. "Duty calls, yanno." He'd simply gone where he was told, not knowing it would turn out so grimly. It was only supposed to be a few hours of patrol. He was scared to ask her to go with him. Scared to watch her die. To get torn to shreds. He was scared. So scared. He closed his eyes, trying to wipe away the images that flashed before his eyes. He refused to let her go with him. Or Cami. Routine patrols could turn deadly so quickly. He'd almost forgotten that.

Maebe watched him as he smoothly lied to himself, and to her. She could hear it in the hesitance of his voice, and the clipped nature of his words. She smiled, because Otto was a better liar than he thought he was, and as much as this particular lie worried her, lying in its abstract form was beautiful to her. It made him less of an angel, and closer to her blackened heart. "Good boy." She murmured, kissing down his arm now. "As long as you never forget that you're not alone anymore." She pressed her lips just at the edges of his cuts, instead of on them. "And maybe if you remember that, then you won't forget to check up on us more often when you're out there." She smiled against his skin as she kissed it, leading all the way up to his shoulder. "And all of our problems are solved." She stopped at the top of his shoulder, and bent her face up to meet his, coyly smirking at him. "Doesn't that sound nice?"

"Yeah." Very nice. He'd have to make sure his phone got a good work out from now on. On the plus side, with one of his training courses done, he wouldn't have to be away so much. He leaned in, since she was conveniently close, and kissed the tip of her nose. "I promise I will."

Maebe crunched up her nose when he kissed her there. "Good. You've begun the repayment in the correct order. I'm glad you remembered exactly where I kissed you first, because you have to follow the order, or else my kisses stop." Her head dipped in, and her lips pressed hard against his neck, giving no mercy to the sensitive skin. The kisses continued down the muscle of his neck, punctuated by the occasional unfair lick. "At least now I know you won't die," She murmured against his skin, as she moved down to his collarbone. "Because I will be very thorough."

"I was supposed to remember order?" He lucked out, honestly. He was pretty sure she kissed his hand after that. Was she travelling up from there? Probably. He flinched as she kissed his neck, trying not to give in the the horribly ticklish spot that his neck often succumbed to. She didn't make it easy. "I knew you would be. Best nurse this side of Deus." He joked in a flat tone of voice, taking her hand and placing a kiss upon the back of it.

She was, to be quite honest, the worst nurse in all of Deus. This was because she was horribly unfair, and stopped treatment at her own whim. The latter was proven when she slunk away from his neck, and laid back down beside him, all kisses suddenly having ceased. "Wrong order." She informed him, which was truly unfair since there was no reason he should have had to recall what order she kissed him in. "So no more kisses. Tenya, heal him up good, since I can't do any more."

Otto pouted. He heaved a great sigh, and flopped onto his side. "I'm dead. You killed me." He grumbled into the thick comfy pile of blankets beneath him. Tenya of course, had already been hard at work doing what she could as far as mending her Hunter up. "Super dead. Bury me with all my stuff."

Once Otto had proclaimed himself dead, Maebe slowly sat back up, and moved off of the bed. She padded over to the closet that she'd already rearranged out of frustration, and began to pick up his clothes, one by one, until she had a heavy pile in her hands. She returned to the bed, and carefully dumped the clothes all over his body, spreading them out evenly. She did all of this without a word, silently mourning the loss of Otto while burying him - not with all of his stuff but - in all of his stuff. Returning to the closet for another pile of clothing, she paused right after dumping it over his face. "Shoes, too?"

Maebe was a jerk. Otto huffed unhappily within the pile of his clothing, kicking it off as he sat up. He gave Maebe a puffy cheeked glare and tossed a sweater at her. "Smartass." He grumbled, sliding off of the bed. Brushing off remaining clothing that had latched onto him, he started shoving it all into a pile on the floor. Then he remembered she'd in fact taken up the majority of his closet space with her stuff. He walked calmly over to it, staring with deadening eyes at the rows of pink and frilly girl things he was faced with. "You took over everything..." He said with a tinge of melancholy. "...you don't actually think my clothes suck, do you?" N-not that he actually cared or anything...

When he pushed all of his clothing into a pile, she waited until he was done and then carefully climbed into it, falling into the pile of clothes like a nest. She curled up in them, resting her head on her hands, and watched him with keen eyes as he surveyed the damage she'd done. There was no guilt in them, only very careful staring. "No." She admitted, nestling deeper down into the pile. "You have a very sexy sense of style. However, I am bitter and still recovering from my painful ordeal. I may say or do things that aren't really true. Like how much better you would look if you wore some of my clothes for me sometime." She paused, and then pulled out one of his shirts, holding it up against her bare body. "But this much is true - I make your clothes look better. Sorry. Life is rough, I know."
