He had been blindsided. It was the only way he could possibly describe how he felt when the news had been announced perhaps a bit too casually to him.

Marriage? To..who? Sriina???

He had been left dumbfounded, he was in not state to be getting married. With the way his brother was treating him with training, always on his case and watching him like a hawk since discovering his drug habits he had been having a really rough time as of late. To be married...was just...ridiculous. Besides the fact he had no interest in Sriina, not to say that she wasn't a pretty woman but...it was just women in general he had no interest in.

Kyruie had tried to protest, to make excuses like he wasn't ready for marriage and that perhaps that they should warn him before making such an announcement. But his mother and father were firm with the choice. His mother felt that Kyruie needed a woman in his life, his father felt the joining of the two households would help strengthen them as a whole during these hard times. His brother on the other hand had remained silent. It was his silence that perhaps Kyruie feared the most.

Up in his room he was trying to figure out the best way out of this situation. The only thing that came to mind was the fact he could or should run away, but...with his drug habit it would be much harder to just pick up and leave. Sitting on his bed he held his head in his hands starting at the rather familiar floorboards. What should he do? He held absolutely no interest in Sriina, she was a good friend while they were growing up, perhaps that was way his family though they would be a good pair.

Groaning he flopped onto his bed, trying to block out his vision but only seeing horrible mental ones instead. How would Sriina react to his drug habit? He surely wouldn't be able to hide that from her forever. Even if he was doing passably better, if only because of the fact his brother watched his every movement. Sighing he opened his eyes and felt his body shudder. To say that he wasn't sexually active would of been a lie, but it was more like he was trying to deny his desires. Women didn't interest him and only one male came to mind that he would want to do anything with.

A hand went to cover his mouth, more like he was trying to hide the smile that had developed as he thought of Terasu...or rather Tera his split personality. It was interesting having one person with two very different personalities. Licking his lower lip he had to chew on it a moment before he forced himself to sit up. He felt uncomfortable in his own body, sometime he wished he could do what Terasu did and shut off part of himself from what was troubling him. Sighing he went to get up stretching as he did so before returning to his aloof stance. His muscle were growing with each days worth of training. New clothing would need to be bought, as his shirts and shorts were beginning to feel too tight.

His mother saw this as progress, his brother still thought he was slacking. Now he was to be married....what did Sriina think of all this? She had been a good friend when they were kids, both with Ashta and himself. What...did his brother think of him marrying their childhood friend? He dared not bring the subject up with Ashta as...his elder brother was often times in a terrible mood. More so since the engagement.

Perhaps he should meet with Sriina...they could talk about what their feelings were about their arranged marriage. Though..he wasn't sure even if they both decided it wasn't a good idea, if their parents would change their minds. They were still stuck in a mindset that arranged marriages were the norm. It hadn't been all that long since they had been freed from the Oban slavers, times had changed though their mindsets had not. If he recalled properly his mother and father had been an arranged marriage, as well his grandparents though he didn't remember them too well.

Was it still practiced? Even now? It seemed so. Despite everything, perhaps he should just get use to the idea. Kyruie felt as if he was already a disappointment to his family, not that it was entirely his fault. His slaver had been a cruel man, not only beating him as well raping him he got addicted to the drugs he now was struggling to acquire to keep up his addiction. He should be coming clean, but...he was too scared of the world and wanted some way of being able to escape it. A stupid way of going about it but it was his only coping mechanism at the moment.

This...was going to turn out horrible he just knew it. Even if he could hide his addiction from Sriina his rather blatant disinterest in her in general would be hard to hide. His parents would probably expect a child within a year of them being married and his shivered at the idea of having intercourse with his childhood friend. What would they do? Well he supposed he would need to talk to Sriina first and see what she thought about this arrangement. Would she accept it? Would she go along with it? Would she rebel against the idea?

Yeah he needed to talk to Sriina...and Terasu. Terasu had to the right to know what was going on, especially since he had been the one making advances on the poor man. Groaning as his head already begun to hurt with the idea of having to talk to both of them he hung his head a moment. His legs were starting to tingle from standing so long without any movement.

There was no time like the present, a term he was beginning to detest. Perhaps he could go to find Terasu first....after all he knew where the man could be found. Sriina could be dealt with later... or so he thought.
