Three Dot Message
It's so obvious, and the three dot message is what solidifies it. She finds herself relieved, and let's out an accidental, "Thank ********>." She's ecstatic.

It was melodramatic and she even had to say, "Come on, you can get it out-" in a patronizing voice.

The phone call ends and she hears her parents calling her for dinner. Putting her phone back in her pocket, Chel feels old. She's only seventeen and she's done this so many times it feels childish and redundant. Break things off when they're not working anymore, start something new to fill your time.

Hand Drawings
She's the girl they threaten with ink poisoning because she creates artwork up and down her arms. She gives Picasso, van Gogh and Monet a run for their money because it's pretty and she can.
Even now at Deus she draws over her scars with her eyeliner. The bumps are mountains and hurdles, but what is she going to do? Her eyeliner has to be on ******** point or what's the point of putting on makeup at all.
She draws a smiley face on her cheek with the eyeliner. Why not? Everyone could use some cheer. At least when they stare at her scars she'll have something to talk about. "Oh you like the smiley?" she'll say instead of the thing she always says.
