Zero watched as Rose made one final adjustment. With her long, pink hair falling behind her back, she truly looked like a young woman who came straight out of a Japanese painting. He found himself mesmerized for a moment, but a soft noise would draw his attention instead. The sound of a car driving up his gravel driveway echoed throughout the house in a hushed tone due to the silence of the home. His glowing eyes would go to the side as he heard it. "Oh, he's here."

Zero's gaze would go to Rose before he took a step towards her. His hand would come up and pet the top of her head lightly, teasing her hair and the side of one of her ears as he spoke. "That would be one of my business associates. Feel free to make yourself at home while I take care of him, okay?" His hand would then fall to his side before he walked off, heading for the entrance. Moments later, a new voice would start to fill the air as he greeted Zero.

Moments later, both the Master and his customer would come walking down the hall towards the door Rose was unable to enter. He was a finely dressed man, simply wearing a suit and tie. He followed Zero intently until he saw the new pet. He simply gave her a small smile and a wave before entering the room, shutting the door and locking it before they began to speak. The words were somewhat muffled but audible. Something Zero didn't really think through. "I see you found yourself a lady to keep your bed warm."

"Let's keep this formal, Sir," Zero quickly responded. He didn't like to make his personal life part of his job. The room they had entered was slightly darker when it came to decor. Weapons lined the walls along with strange heads. Trophies would be a more appropriate term, each one twisted in their own way. They all once belonged to a demon at one point, his secret service being that he had to hunt them down. This world was sadly infested with them. Zero would make his way to the large desk that sat near the center of the room, sitting in the black, rolling chair on the other side while the guest took a seat in a more normal piece of furniture. "Sorry..... I have another local job for you."

With that, a folder would fall upon the desk as the man threw it to him. Inside were pictures of a well known gangster in the city. Zero observed them closely, shrugging. "You do know I don't like dealing with mortal targets, Sir. I'm a demon hunter, not an assassin." The stranger would kneel forward as he replied. "That is true, but this particular gentleman has gotten his hands on some interesting books. They are said to be able to give someone the power to control a certain creature from the depths of Hell. I'm sure you are familiar with Hellhounds. Last thing I need in this city is a bunch of fiery mongrels chasing down people." With the new information, Zero would lean in and look at the pictures again. "Hmm......"

...... But that doesn't mean I can't fall for you.

Zero's attention went to the door when he heard a knock. A soft voice came after, saying that she had made some tea. He smiled lightly at her sudden need to serve both him and his guest. Perhaps she was indeed servant material. He would stand from his seat and head for the door before cracking it open. Rose was gone, but the tray of tea remained. He knelt down and grabbed the plate before chuckling to himself, closing the door. "Heh, she found the tea leaves......." He was slightly impressed that she was able to make the tea in such a manner. Though he was sure she did it mostly due to the atmosphere of the house. Handing one of the cups to the guest, he would take a seat once again.

"Well, consider the job done, Sir. I of course won't charge as much for slaying a human. Not as challenging as my normal prey. I'll start as soon as I can. I will charge extra if the Hellhounds are already summoned though." Zero would sip on his tea after his little speech, a laugh being his reply at first. His gleaming eyes went to the man as he spoke. "You're kidding, right? If that's the case, you're just going to wait until the city is filled with them." As the stranger went to take a sip of his hot beverage, the cup would suddenly shatter into pieces. The scolding tea would splash on his chest, making him jump back a bit. "s**t! What the-" He would look up at Zero, who was now glaring at the man. He gulped as he realized that he had angered the hunter with his comment. "You dare think that I would endanger humans for the sake of money? I'm not a corrupt soul, unlike several others I have come to know. The job will be done. Now then, Sir, leave." His voice was very cold and dark, not tolerating such a remark in his presence. He fought for their kind to keep them safe, not prosper from their grief.

"H-hey, no need to get angry Zero. I didn't mean to offend...... I'll be leaving then. You have my number whenever you finish the job." With that, the man stood up and hurried out of the room. He kept his composure, but it was obvious that he feared the man that he just hired for this job. He would see himself out, not deciding to stay any longer. Once he was gone, Zero would sigh and stare down at the spilled tea and shattered glass. "What a waste...... It's great tea too....." He would sip on his once more before getting up from his own chair and grabbing the platter and shards of glass.

Zero made his way to the kitchen, where he would find Rose roaming. "Thank you hon, the tea was delicious," he said, giving her a warm smile. He wouldn't bother explain the hasty retreat of his associate nor why the cup was shattered into pieces. He truly doubted that she needed to know such things. Last thing he needed was her to fear him. He would set the plate down on the counter as he continued. "I'm rather surprised that you know how to make it in that way. Not many people around here use that method any more."

...... But that doesn't mean I can't fall for you.

Zero would approach her after she had doubted her skills at making his tea. As before, his hand would gently touch her chin, making her look up at him. "I enjoyed your brew my dear. You needn't change a thing. In fact, if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind a couple cups of it throughout the day......" His hand would fall from her as he thought about something else she could do during her long stay with him. "In fact, come with me. there is something I'd like to show you."

His tender touch would grab hold of her hand lightly, starting to lead her into the backyard of his home. He would simply slide a door to the side to show off a large garden of bamboo that stretched over their heads for several feet. However, it wasn't the forest that he wanted to show her, but the large koi pond with the small waterfall. At the base of it was of course the sizable fish the structure was known for, at least ten wandering the shallow waters. He would lead her to the side of it before finally letting go of her hand. He would kneel down and glide his hand over the water gingerly as he spoke. "I often find myself too busy to give these guys the attention they need. If you could be so kind as to keep them fed, I would appreciate it." His eyes would go to Rose with a smile as he continued. "Tea, tending to my fish and keeping me company. That's all I shall ask of you."

Zero would stand after her agreeable reply, promising herself as he saw fit. As before, he showed her a soft smile before he started past her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Don't tempt me love....." He of course spoke of the last bit she mentioned, playfully winking at her before he continued back towards the house. He figured that it would be best to be friendly with her right off the bat due to her shy nature. Some innocent teasing was bound to happen no thanks to his personality. He would open the door for her to walk inside once again as he went on. "But our personal time will have to wait. I have business to attend to this evening and will be gone for most of the night. I hope you are okay spending the night here alone. At least for a little while. I shouldn't be too long." Zero predicted that due to the small case he was given that it would only take a few hours to track the target and mere seconds to dispose of him. However, that would still have him home around 3 in the morning. Hopefully by then she would have fallen fast asleep.

Soon after he showed Rose inside once more, Zero would indeed leave for his mission. Hours passed and night fell, the master of the home arriving back around the time he predicted. He would sneak inside quietly in order to let his slave sleep. Surely she was resting by now. After kicking off his shoes, he made his way towards the kitchen for a quick snack before bed. However, before he reached for the fridge, he would notice a plate with food on it already. Surely Rose's doing. He smiled lightly at the thought before taking his plate to a table and eating the meal prepared for him.

Once he was done, Zero made his way towards the room. He silently slid the door open to keep Rose from waking up as he entered. He didn't bother open the curtain to her side of the room, not wanting to accidentally wake her from her slumber. He was sure she was fine. With that in mind, he would quickly strip himself of his jacket and shirt before slipping into bed. Covering himself up, he would stare up at the ceiling for a little while. He has always found it hard to fall asleep. But, in time, his eyes would begin to feel heavy.

Soon after laying down, Zero felt something touch his side. It was warm to the touch so he naturally turned to see what it was. He was surprised to see that Rose had gotten into the bed before him. She must have mistaken his side of the room as hers and passed out there. He thought perhaps he should get up but that would only wake her. Instead, he would simply go with the flow. Smiling to himself a little, he would turn to his side and wrap an arm about her waist as he kept her close. Strangely, this felt nice to him. Something he hadn't done in a very long time. Somehow, within minutes, he was fast asleep with her curled up in his arms.....

Zero quickly shot up from bed as he heard a thud echo through his home. Was it an intruder? His eyes darted around to see no one. Confused, he looked down to the side of the bed to see Rose on the ground. So she had fallen? He let out a sigh of relief before sliding to the edge of his mattress. He leaned down towards her and pet her head lightly. "Are you alright Rose? Took a tumble, did we?" He would quickly look her over to make sure she was okay. Nothing visibly wrong with her anyways. Aside from perhaps her kamino starting to fall off ever so slightly. He would ignore it this time, he sure that she would notice soon enough and cover up. He found it difficult not to comment or stare though. She was very pretty after all.

Zero simply watched as Rose once again ran off in embarrassment. He was unsure if he would ever understand why she was like that but he still worried about it. He would soon slip out of bed and put a shirt on real quick before walking off after her. By the time he reached the kitchen. she would already be trying to distract herself with cooking. He didn't wish to see her like this all of the time, wanting to n** this in the butt as soon as he could. Otherwise, she may never open up to him. He would walk up behind her and place a hand upon one of her shoulders. As always, his voice was warm and gentle. "Rose, you are always so tense and shy around me...... Why is that?"
