She had been prepared for Kaikea to pull away or even say she just wanted to be friends but wen the other mare moved into her Calfuray's eyes closed in bliss and relief. Finally for the first time that she could remember Calfuray felt like her world made sense again. "My herd loves you, as do I" She assured the other mare "And if you ever get the urge to wander a bit then I will go with you but now we will just have a home to come back to." She concluded.
Really she would do anything that Kaikea wanted to do in the future, though she hoped that they would be happy together here in the herd, now that things seemed safe and secure again Calfuray was hesitant to go back out into the unknown wilds - especially with Kaikea to think of now..then again Kaikea had been wandering on her own for quite some time and perhaps she knew some things that calfuray did not. Perhaps someday they could explore a bit..but for now she was pleased to hear that the other mare was content to stay.
"Should we go and inform Penthesilea that you've decided to stay?" she asked. "Or do you want to stay here a bit longer?"

It bought her such joy to here that Calfuray would go with her if and when she chose to wander. While she wanted to stay here with the herd, because she did feel like she belonged her, it was important to know that if she left, be it temporarily or permanently, that Calfuray would go with her. Honestly she didn't plan on going anywhere any time soon...well at some point she needed to find her mother and let her know where she would be living from now on should she want to visit, and that would also give her an opportunity to introduce Calfuray to her mother, but other than that, she was staying put.
"Can we stay here, for just a while longer?" This moment was too perfect to interrupt just yet. Besides Calfuray was on a break from duties for the time being, so why not milk that for all it was worth. "I just want to enjoy this moment and you for a now...we can talk to Penthesilea soon."
