Meeting the Peacemaker

User Image
Methone's patrols were quiet, and her slow languid glide over the rooftops was only proceeding to bore her. She thought of turning in when she felt the more powerful aura of a eternal senshi, and seeing that Methone was always interested in meeting the other senshi of the world, she followed it.

What she found surprised her, in a way that didn't often do. On a rooftop, under the stars, was a lovely senshi of pale white hair and dark fuku. She was sipping on a cup of fine china with a dainty almost pristine lady grace. If Methone was to say anything about this one, it would be pale ice queen.

“Excuse me pretty lady.” Methone called out, before walking closer, “But isn't tea on the rooftop a little dangerous?” Methone laid a hand on the chair across from the girl. Teal eyes met pale blue and Methone was 100% the woman was a type A ice queen.

“Hello and no, it's never dangerous for tea.” Mintaka answered back, immediately judging the senshi for her lack of fuku. She never knew they could show that much skin, and was immediately grateful hers was conservetive. “Aren't you cold?”

Methone cocked her head, looked down at her outfit. “A little bit darling, but I hear if you cuddle with another ones heat, you get warmed up quickly.”

Mintaka scoffed, “I see. Well I am sad to inform you-” not really sad, “That I am happily involved with someone and not interested in other women.” The tone practically dripped icicles. Methone blinked.

“Sorry to offend you sweetling.” She returned the tone with a warm one of her own, “I just don't see this often enough.” She took the seat, even if uninvited and gestured to the setup. “So what's the deal?”

Mintaka sniffed obnoxiously as the senshi made herself comfortable and out of good manners, offered Methone a cup of tea of what she had made already. “First off, it's rude to ask without introducing yourself. I am Mintaka, Eternal Senshi of Origami-”

“Oh, sorry sweetling, I'm Methone, Senshi of Northern Lights.” Methone grabbed her cup, and took a long sip. Pretty damn good. For a lady sitting here drinking tea for some reason.

“Okay Methone. I am out here because I offer peaceful talks with all factions, whether they be Negaverse, Dark mirror court or senshi of the white court. Which is what you are.” Mintaka set her cup down. “Have you been informed of the war? What your part is?”

Methone set hers down in response and snorted. “Yes, I'm training under a prince directly, so I know my role. Eradication of the chaos.” She hesitated, “Or turning them to our side. Whichever one works better or faster.”

Mintaka breathed in, the first of hearing about a prince in the world, but was more worried about the ideals Methone carried with her. It was the same as every other white court senshi. Eradication of chaos would only cause harm.

“Have you considered another way Methone?” Mintaka stressed, “That perhaps if we got along with them peacefully, we would achieve the goal of this war faster? Peace?”

Methone laughed, standing up now. “If it was that easy darling, war wouldn't have started in the first part.” The lights senshi pushed the seat back in. “But I have patrols to continue, and you have tea to dine with the enemies with.” She frowned. “Next time I see you hun, maybe you can spiel me about peace again.”

Have I lost my way?

User Image
Mintaka offered a spicy chai tea to Methone this time, as the northern lights senshi seemed to continue to find her where ever she went. Not that it bothered her, but the senshi really just....

“How long do you plan to sit here and drink all my tea and eat all my food Methone?” Mintaka hissed as yet another cookie disappeared from her plate. This set up was meant for talks with the negaverse! To the Dark Mirrors! Not to grubbing senshi's who weren't really interested in peace talks.

“As long as I'm allowed to before you kick me away Mintaka,” Methone chuckled, “But you're too much of a nice lady to do that, so I'm taking advantage.” Methone was well aware that Mintaka was getting annoyed with her, but it didn't bother her at all. She liked seeing the origami senshi all huffed up on her princess high horse. Not saying she didn't like Mintaka in general, but it was funnier to see the younger girl get all hyped up on her ladies rules.

Methone wasn't much of a lady really.

“Besides, we were talking about peace or something like that, you don't want to fight over cookies and tea consumption do you little lady?” Methone took another cookie and bit into it, waving it at Mintaka.

In response, Mintaka huffed, took another polite sip of tea.

“I am.” Mintaka huffed again, “I have been talking to you about it for the past half an hour, but you've been dozing.”

“Oh well, you talk with this boring sort of tone you know. Maybe if you made it more interesting for me? Why don't you come sit closer Mintaka?” Methone gestured her over, and then laughed really hard at the immediate look of disgust and rejection from the origami senshi. “Okay okay, calm down little lady, I was just teasing.” Methone held her ribs. “Must be someone special to keep you from looking or even expriementing a little, Mintaka.”

Mintaka scoffed, and decided she needed another cup of tea before she discussed her preference for romance with a stranger. She was quiet. She was quiet for a long time before Methone shrugged.

“It's complicated and trying.” Mintaka breathed out, “And none of your business northern lights.”

“Okay okay okay, god you really get your panties in a bunch of it you know? Commitment and that sort of thing? Overratted. If it's complicated, make it uncomplicated.” Methone liked Flora and Castor because they didn't ask her to choose, to be faithful though she was. They didn't expect her to stay. Stay forever.

It was a dark thought, but that was the sort of connections she made. The sort of connection she had with people. She would never really be...part of them. Part of their heart.

“It sounds cold and lonely.” Mintaka looked away. “I like who I am with. I like how our hearts transcend time. If I am just a little more patient....” Mintaka set her cup down, her gaze wandering to the stars. “Just a little more patience, I've got time. So much time in the world.” She closed her eyes. “I have so much time in the universe.” She could wait 10 minutes, 10 hours...10 months, 10 years. 10 million years, until they would connect. The universe already had them together once.

Methone snorted, but it was out of uncomfortableness. Out of unease. She didn't like to see how Mintaka was set in her way, how easy the origami senshi seemed to understand her path. Even if the girl was a eternal, she was still a girl. Methone couldn't even think of a path for herself.

“I'm going to leave Little lady. Thanks for the snacks.” Methone breathed out. “I'll see you around.”

Mintaka didn't respond, her gaze steady on the stars.

Past Life: Methone the Dancer

Homeworld Information:
[Canon Past life Interactions]

Plural/Possessive: Methonians
Main Exports: Tropical fruit, plants. Curative medicines, Poisons. Fresh water fish. Gems and Stones. (Specific stones are called Sun Stones)
Main Imports: Dairy, Cotton/Silk/Linen, tools, Books, Instruments
Industries: Agriculture and Tourism
Inspirations: A tropical paradise with islander like structures and monuments.
Capital City: City of Lights - The largest main city, often known as the port of Lights, or the ferryway of lights. This city recieves most trade from other outer planets, as well as tourist.

Castle: Aurora's Pathway (Also known as the castle dedicated to Saturn, who they have a strong political and spiritual bond with.) The castle is used for negoations of trade and conduct between Methone and Saturn mostly. Other planets are welcomed there as well. Ambassdor's are always reserved the finest rooms in the castles for their stays.

Underwater Lights: A very small city built by Aegir for Methone per trade agreements, The city is deep off the beach of the main island, with thin tunnels and pathways. It caters to comfort and is often referred to outside tourist as the Sea hotel.

World: Methone is a small half moon orbiting around Saturn, with a small faint ring and shadowed mostly in Saturn's size. Because of this, the planet has no sunlight but instead, a large Aurora Borealis that is always active. The long ribbon of lights stretches far over scattered islands. The moon itself is also 95% ocean, rivers and lakes. The Main Island is about as large as 2000 miles across. Smaller islands span about 500 miles to even small ones as 50 miles.

The main island takes a very direct approach to natural habitats. Glass and wood materials are used to make homes, allowing residents to have light as well as sturdy homes. Living quarters are shared, while kitchens are a community faucet. A large kitchen/dining area is set up on the Island where residents and guest can eat.

A greenhouse is required in all habitable areas, so Methonions may grow their biggest exports, which are various herbs that can cure small wounds, or more poisonous ones for other uses. It requires a very special ore mined from under their sea beds, called Sunstones.

The world before: Methone was a very spiritual world, with it's residents relying on a strong bond to the planet itself. They often held spiritual dances and festivals to honor the world they lived on, and in turn, the world would bless them with a bountiful harvest, or a peaceful year from storms. Very rarely, has there ever been a major world disaster, as most weather anamolies are very small storms, with little to almost no rain.

Large dias's were built for the sacred dances, which soon became a highlight for the tourism that they garnered. Thanks to a negoation with the princess of Saturn, Methone had introduced a new way of life to her planet. As generation came, Methone because the planet to see before dying. Literally. The planet gained the nickname of a peaceful stop before the final rest, the light before the end of the tunnel. Methonions took that to heart, and often softened their hearts and minds to compensate for the weary and tired travelers they would get.

Added to that, Methonions made a deep connection with Alrescha, exchanging goods and various other things. If Alreschans so choose, they were welcomed to live on Methone as they had plenty of water and sea for Alreschans to survive. And Vice versa, Methonions could live on Alrescha should they choose. The two races respect and care for each other, making them a strong alliance.

Another strong alliance was with the planet Aegir, as Methonions traded their valuable sunstones to the other moon in return for construction of an underwater city where Alreschans and Methonions could reside. It is also large enough to offer rooms to guest who wish to see underwater life in their natural state.

Fauna/Fruit/Plants: Ranges from most tropical ferns and plants, to fruits. Island trees like Palms and Sennas.
Milk Honey Nut: a nut that resembles a coconut that has a thick white milk with a slight honey scent.
Strawbana: A large banana plant with a faint strawberry scent. It's flesh is a delicate pink and it has been known to be the fruit of love on Methone.
Hibiscuscuss: A large edible flower in a bright blue color with a strong raspberry flavor. It's used in teas and fruit drinks.

Animals:
Long tailed Auroracoat: Most all of methone's bird life has long tails and colorful feathers. They usually range from small palm size, to a larger owl size. Few Methonions have trained the birds to use as communicators between islands.
Borealis Tit: A very small round bird with a fluffy amount of down. They are the most common birds, often treated as pets and spoiled.

Various Sea life: They have a various amount of sea life introduced from earth, like fish and larger mammals like whales and Dolphins and Sharks. A little further out is a large surrounding coral reef where most of the life takes place. The underwater eco system is very similar to earth.

Methone does not have very large animals as the plants they grow can be very toxic.

Government: Methone is a very laidback planet, that relies on a council to decide matters. There is a representive from the major Islands that will gather and talk of trades and outer planet negotations.

Economy: Methone is a trade and barter economy. There is no money, and gems and stones have no value besides to be used as materials. Because the planet is very bountiful, often trading is used between outer planets. Most the time, methonions are very generous and sharing.

Culture: Methonions pride themselves on having a connection to their planet, taking the time to decorate and care for the important landmarks of their land. The main island in point had over 20 points of locations that equalled some sort of spiritual connection to the planet, as well as deep meaning for the Methonions.

Because of this, Methonions were a prized location to go when people wanted to find inner peace. Most of the landmarks are attended to by caregivers, and they do their best to keep the Island clean free of debris. Travelers are asked for common courtesy and it happens!

Methonions are also prized for their dance abilities, as dancing is the huge communication technique from them to their planet. Because of this, it is a true joy and rare delight to see Methonions Northern lights ritual dance. The dias they commit their ritual is the most decorated dance that faces right under the brightest peak of northern lights.

Fashion: Methonions enjoy light easy to move clothing, designed with galaxy sheer prints, bikini bottoms and tops, Vest or shorts. Because of the tropical climate, thinner clothing was desired. All Methonions were blessed with a sash that looked like Northern lights, often called Aurora Sashes. Some used them for dance, some used them for fashion. Some were gifted away to outer planets if they wished.

Sailor Methone: Sailor Methone was known as the 'Ferryman'. As in old mythology, Sailor Methone was the only one that could connect Saturn and Methonions together by traveling between the two (Such as the ferryman from one side of the river of dead to the other). Sailor Methone's were always born female, as the population consisted of 75% more females then males, and was more often then not, born as a only child.

Methone and the Moon Kingdom: Methone had no alliance to the moon kingdom besides with Saturn. As they were a small planet, they didn't garner attention from the moon kingdom.

Feelings in the motion of legs and arms

User Image
Nadia Solo - Dancing Pre-Exam - Song Choice: [HERE]

Destiny City University didn't quite have the facilities of most ballet schools. It was a diverse university, so the amount of budget for each department varied. She had taken Colin's advice in looking at DCBC. She wanted to join them, even if it was forever being an understudy. One day she would rise in the ranks. One day she would join them.

But she wasn't ready yet, and first she had to show the group at the university that they could continue to invest the money and time in her. She had practiced the routine a thousand times before. She took the stage, her right hip and down faced the judges, as her her head turned the other way.

The lyrics of Gaelle flowed onto the stage.

(Sometimes I wish I..
Sometimes I wish I..
Sometimes I wish I..

Disappear and fade away.)

Her leg slipped down, her hips touched the ground. She moved with slow ease.

(More often than not I keep forgetting,
true love can never end in sorrow.
I've hoped and I've prayed for comfort that
Never seems to come.
They say what don't kill you makes you stronger,
So i am here lying on the carpet,
convinced that if i sit still i will slowly wash away)

The roll moved her legs further, and she clenched them to her chest. Extended out, breathing in and out. The music was soft, and her body started out that way. Slow and soft and tender. But she rose, from the ground and lifted herself. She spun, a cartwheel, a glide along the floor. The movement was easy to her. She lost the stage somewhere in the middle of the song, breathing out as her arms touched down to her toes and the other extended to the ceiling.

(Run back out of fear of starting over,
accept what is well below the standards.
embarrassed that self respect hasn't seen the light of day.
Consumed by a lack of motivation,
But somehow you pull it all together,
you put on some new perfume and face another day.

your heart it breaks)

Her body started to ache. Her breathing started to hitch. She had never felt this while dancing. Her arm's faltered in her movement, she felt the slip of strength. Her mind loosened from it's dance, from the song. Where had this pain come from? Where had she-She felt the burn like blisters, the still pink skin from Haumea's attack from the park. Her falter was noticed and she felt the slipping reality.

No. No she couldn't here.

(Disappear and fade away.
(cos disappointment seems to overwhelm me)
Disappear and fade away.
Can't understand it,
Please somebody help me.

Gotta keep it all together,
or I'll break up.
Maybe take a shower,
Wash off this make-up.
Maybe watch TV,
get some sleep
and feel better when i wake up.

Maybe these feelings were never brand new,
kinda makes you wanna believe that they're true.
But in time you'll see
This misery will fade.
That's just how these things do.

And your problems will)

No she finished her dance, her pose held with her leg on point.

She waited. The music was silent. Her arms hurt, her legs burned. Everything about her was set ablaze. Tired, she felt so tired.

The silence lasted as she brought her leg down, came to the center stage, bowed. Then straightened herself out.

“Miss Vetrov, We found your performance a very good improvement.” One judge said, as the others nodded, “However it was not an outstanding amount of growth. As such, you will be placed in the second round of the exams.”

Pompous a**. Who knew nothing of dancing. She wanted to say these things, but she knew he was right. The pain from Haumea faltered her dance, and it showed. They had noticed. It was the first time she felt anger of being Methone. Methone had ruined this for her.

“It will begin next week, You're very high on the list of exceptional candidates Miss Vetrov, we just want to make sure that recommendations to-” He looked down at the ballet company she had chosen, “Destiny Cities Ballet Center are exactly what they are looking for. Paris Gallo was our last candidate sent there, and she has shown her brilliance on the stage. Something that is hard to live up to. You are almost there-” He quieted, “We just need a little more.”

Nadia nodded. "Yes. Okay." And she left the stage, unaware if it was sweat or tears that dripped down. She went home. She cried the frustrations that Methone controlled something that she shouldn't have let her.

It was the first time Nadia had ever cried so hard in her life.

Sleepless in Methone

User Image
Solo

She returned the night before her performance. Her world glittered around her, the sand warm beneath her feet. She had taken her sandals off, let her feet play with the grains, let her toes dig into the beach.

Sand was good for building core strength. For building any strength for the legs. It was the best way to jog, when you wanted to be light on your feet. She remembered long ago, that her teacher would tell her that if she wanted air, then going to the beach and running down its coastline would help her.

It was funny how Methone was the perfect world for her, in every way. The lights were dim and calming. The ocean was soothing and sounded much like a quiet song. She didn't run down the beach, but walked it, like the path of light.

And the path turned from sand to stone and greens. Glass buildings and intricate displays of green and water. Creeks and waterfalls. It was as if the world was built around the blue and green of northern lights. She let her hand wander through the water, as it disturbed it. It felt cold, but fresh. She took a sip and sighed. It tasted sweet and crisp.

When she stood again, she hadn't expected another one to join her. Her apprarition of her past self it looked like. She had read through the guides on the phone that they would appear. But she hadn't expected her second visit to be so. She looked, just like herself now. Though her hair seemed longer and tamed. Her skin was still its a darker brown but her outfit....was that of belly dancers and dancers of the east. Gold coins, like that of her fuku, jingled against the girl's skin.

It was like watching a movie though, because she reached over and touched the past Methone and her hand just wisped through. But she could see her laugh, and she was holding the arm of someone. And wasn't that just fitting of her past self? Her present self? Pretty, a accessory on someone's arm. She followed the girl a bit longer, as she disappeared into one of the many stone and glass buildings. When Methone followed, she was alone again. But in the corner was another piece of something she already had.

She held up the longer piece of cloth, covered in dust and broken glass and shook it. It sparkled like stars and night sky, but when she moved it, it danced like the northern lights. She brought it to her cheek. She felt nothing but-

Patience. If she came back, she would understand. She just needed it in small doses. Just small doses and then it would all come back to her. She took the cloth and would add it to the pile of other cloth she had. Perhaps something would come of it later. Perhaps nothing would come of it.

Girlfriend

User Image
Solo

Nadia had been walked home by Lorne. It was a very new feeling, as they just glowed. It was like well...how did she explain it. She had never been a girlfriend. Even in high school, she had made it clear to all her partners that she wasn't interested. She didn't want the weight of another teenager's feelings on top of her own feelings. What she had wanted at the time was freedom. It didn't seem to bother many in high school, and she was usually really good friends with both the men and women she had been with.

The same ideal had carried over to college, and though she had only been there for two years, she had many different sort of lovers. She had much older then her, who didn't want anything but sex, and then she had been with others who wanted to be with others. At one point she sort of settled for Eve, because it got boring and Eve had never been so. They hadn't been dating though, and it was a friendship that sometimes led to something more at the end of the night. But sometimes it didn't and that was okay. Then there was Castor, who she felt grateful for every day. Without him, she would've never been the senshi she was. And she cared for him like she would her cousins and brothers. Even if they had been lovers too, he was still important to her.

It was always important friends, with sometimes benefits.

So when Lorne kissed her goodnight, gave her that shy smile, murmured his girlfriend, reminded her that she finally committed to someone, she felt her heart thud deep into her chest.

When she got up to her loft, she refrained from calling Colin and spilling all her emotions at his feet. She didn't want to burden Colin with her feelings, though she trusted him with them. She just wanted to enjoy them to herself for a little bit longer.

She stripped herself of the clothing she had put on, changing to a loose sweater and shorts. Bare feet padded against the cool wood of her loft's floor, as she started setting up her usual comforts. She looked around, and wondered what could be missing. She was surprised to know the answer was Lorne, even though she had just seen him. It was so silly to miss someone, after you had just seen them, wasn't it? She played with her sweater, turned on her playstation for a little gaming, but she kept looking at her phone.

She should text him or something. Like a text goodnight or something. She snorted.

“Not some giddy teenager.” She said aloud, sticking her tongue out as she tried to beat a particular boss.

She should text him.

“Oh my god Nadia.” She whispered to herself, “You just saw him, it's not like he's going to miss you in a night's time.” She huffed and then set the controller down. Her attention drawn to the phone again. “You.” She pointed at it. “Are terrible. I am terrible.”

She was new to this feeling, so when she sent the small text telling Lorne goodnight, it felt right and silly at the same time. Girlfriend. She was excited to figure this out. A new puzzle for her.

A dance and a Sash

User Image
Solo

The two pieces she had brought back from her planet of a cloth she had never seen before, glowed on her desk. Sometimes she paid attention to them, and sometimes she didn't. She was nursing plants back to life, thanks to Lorne, and some she picked up from others. Her deck was covered in those said plants. Added to that, she was adding a little more to her loft. Things that Lorne might like if he came over, and extra blankets for Colin or Aleksy if either of them chose to stay at her place for the night.

Tallulah too, if the girl desired a night away from the hubby and wanted gal pal time. She treasured her friendships, especially with girls.

Added to that, was a little more food in the fridge, a little more first aid kits spread around the loft. Liniment, Aloe and other various rubs to ease pain. She had pain killers and sleep aids. She was stocked. She was stocked in case anything happened to her, or the team she was slowly forming together. She was starting to let so many people permenantly in her life.

When the flash of..something came, she was looking at the pieces of the northern lights sash on her desk. It was like someone else moved her hands, as she put the two pieces closer together. And magically, they seemed to...form together into a larger piece. As if it was returning pieces of light to each other. She blinked and then looked at the now larger piece.

“Oh.” She didn't....stop the flow that came over her though, picking up the piece and holding it over her eyes, falling asleep in her chair, even for a moment, Unlike her planet though, the dream was fuzzy and it showed her what she had already seen, where she watched it happen in front of her eyes, this was like...watching from a far away movie. Like the drive in, and your car was the last row in the very back and it was hard to make out anything.

She saw dancers, with longer pieces of the cloth she had now, dancers that sparkled with stars and night sky and danced under the northern lights of the planet of Methone. It was too far to make out the dance, but she felt the power of it. Felt the power radiating from the dias she once walked over with Monty. The dance got faster, the music got louder, the lights seemed brighter. And all at once, the memory just...burst.

And Nadia woke gently, removing the cloth from her eyes. If her planet wanted to show her more, it would have to wait for longer.

“Well, I can only visit a couple times a month.” She set it down, “So you're gonna have to wait till I get back up there Methone.” Then she could discover all of its secrets. And whatever this clothing and dance meant for her and the planet.

Happiness

User Image
Solo - Song HERE

It was time. She stretched on the stage. Her hair was tied .

Her time to practice had been severely cut short by dates with Lorne, the visits to both her planet and his, the fighting...She was exhausted in the mental sense. Physically she was sore. It was...This would be her final chance. Her final chance to prove she was worth a companies time, and skills and money. She could go from her quiet job, to performing as her heart desired.

The stage was set with silence, she was laying flat on the ground, her head turned to the side. When the music started, it was slow at first.

But it went straight into the words and she felt the power of herself surge through. On and on and on, her body turned, a triple pirouette on pointe, her arms spinning perfectly in a circular arc. The dance moved entergetically, fast almost but...the dance never seemed anything more then fluid. She performed each technique she had in her arsenal with ease, her face lighting up with joy as she felt the dance surge through her.

On and On and On.

It was her journey.

She felt her arms raise, fall. Her legs rise and fall. Her breathing, rise and fall. She was rising, rising so far in herself. When did her fall come? When she stop floating on the air? When did her feet return to the ground, where reality was?

She didn't feel it, she didn't feel them. She only felt what she felt right now, and that was....Happiness. Is this what her dance before lacked? Is this what they saw? There had been no light. No clouds. Just dread and worry.

The dance ended and she fell to the ground, breathless, drained, but smiling. She didn't care how she did, because she performed her most exciting step into her dance. Her rise to be the best. To be a better a dancer.

“Miss Vetrov.” The judge leaned back, steepling his fingers. Another took off his glasses. Nadia rose from the ground, standing still with her fingers laced. Her breathing was haggard and hard, but she felt steady. Her heart felt steady.

“Miss Vetrov, we have found that you have very much improved from our last assessment. In fact, far exceedingly so.” He smiled, and Nadia felt it, the hope. “We would like to offer our congratulations. You have passed this assessment, we will give you the forms of our referrals, as well as offer you the best companies we can. In fact, if you choose. Destiny City's Ballet Company will be looking for new recruits.” Nadia nodded.

“Yes, thank you. I would love that.” She was waved off the stage, coming down to the panel and shaking their hands. She had passed. Passed her assessment. It didn't take hours of practicing (actually it did), but just a little bit of...happiness. As she left the college, she was already calling the person who was just invested in this as she was. First Colin, then she called Lorne. She wanted a night on the town. She wanted to celebrate. She wanted, for the life of her, to keep rolling in the happiness!

Her visits up to Methone were hard to do in between searching for her new job, sneaking out while Auguste was asleep and trying not to disturb Pasha, AS WELL as her committing to dates with her boyfriend. She felt drained some nights, just absolutely tired from the activity that was happening around her. It was like living with her brothers again. Except one sometimes slept in her bed and gave her kisses and hugs.

Oh Pasha, why were you the cutest puppy ever.

She opened her windows though, giving the snow white pup a pat on the head. They had bought a baby gate to keep him from jumping into the patio to play in her garden, so he whined, pawing at the plastic gate.

“Don't you want to go sleep Pasha?” She whispered, shooing the pup away. “Go on you, Auguste will want cuddles.” She turned the puppy around, patting his bottom to push him off towards her roommate. He yipped and then pranced right back over to her. “Pashaaaaaaaaaaa.” She whined a little, picked him up and then gave him face kisses. “Go little one. Don't worry, I'll return home soon.” She whispered, closing the window.

There was a look over her shoulder, then she powered up to Methone and pushed herself off the balcony. She waited to find a secluded spot, before pressing the phone button to zap her up to her planet.

She didn't hit the beach this time, as if her planet wanted her in another section of the small paradise of a planet, placing her in the most innermost complicated of a large glass building. She could see various plants, overgrown with time, and broken vase pieces from where they were once contained. She lowered herself to the ground, picking up the clay and turning it over. A dust off of the piece reveled a bright blue, like the clearest oceans. She put the piece back and continued to look around.

The plants ranged from massive amounts of foliage, similar to earths ferns and palm trees and fan leaves. There was brightly colored flowers in pinks and blues and purples spread among the bushes, as well as large nut shaped fruits. She picked up a couple of them, laughing at the pure weight of them. They felt heavy, like gallons of milk.

She threw one to the ground, as it cracked in half and spilled a milky white substance on the ground. Thick like milk, but with the smell of honey added to it. Interesting. Coconut honey milk?

She continued to explore the large glass house, realizing as she went about, that the house was most likely a large greenhouse. There was no spots for bright lights, but in the corners of the rooms, she found stones that looked like flowers. They were...hot to the touch and warm. As if the sun was imbedded in it. Sun stones? Coconut honey Milk nuts? Methone seemed to have such wonders.

Speaking of wonders, she wished to find more of the weird material, that shone like a aurora borealis in the night sky, dancing like the ribbons of light would on the planet Earth. She left the greenhouse, moving to another of the smaller glass buildings. It seemed more like a hut then a building, and as she entered, she was hit with a scent that was much like aloe and liniment of earth. A healing house then?

She left, surprised that Methone seemed to reflect a lot of the things of her life now. Dancers, greenhouses. Her love for the tropics, the enticing scents of perfume and healing oils. It was things she loved about her home. A breeze blew through, light and cool. Even though it seemed perceptually night on Methone, it was never cooler it seemed then 70 degrees. As the breeze passed though, it sent the plants into a slight dance of their own....and then she heard the sweet chimes of glass on glass. Like a wind chime from earth but...louder and the sound seemed to spread through the whole of Methone.

She followed it, from where it got fainter, to where it got louder, then stopping as she looked at the most intricate and beautiful decoration on the island so far. It was a pair of rocks that held thousands of strings laced around and between them. Brightly colored jewels and rocks were placed next together, decorated in gold and silver studs. When the breeze blew again, the jewels shifted and hit strings and each other, making the sweetest sound of music.

She closed her eyes, sitting in front of it and enjoying the sound. It soothed her soul in a way, relaxed her and let her worries disappear.

“We call this place the Soul's resting stones.” The girl sat next to her, but she wasn't really addressing her. It was like being in the memory of someone who had been there. It was a ghost...replaying the moment out. “When the music plays, it is meant to remind you of the calmer times. To remember there is great beauty, but you will not be far from it.” The girl curled her arms around her knees. “Methone has always been the spot to come before the final resting days. Our world, it was built to honor the final wishes and dreams before one leaves to join the cauldron, and be reborn again.” She looked to the sky, as did Methone.

“We are the light before the end. Saturn waits for those after. We just make them happy before they leave.” The ghost leaned over, passing through Methone, petting someone. “Does this calm your soul? Do you feel at peace?” She asked. “It is not the complete end. We have much more to show you. Come. Tonight is the brightest night.” She laughed, pulling at the man who appeared from Methone's spot. “I will dance for you.” He looked battle worn. Tired, but there was a small smile, and Methone could feel the past self...in that moment, the deepest wish to soothe his soul.

The memory faded, winked out before her and she was left with a gentle breeze and the soft chime of music from the stones. From the corner of her eye, she saw something flapping from under one of the rocks, crawling her way over to the piece of the cloth. It was smaller, but it was one more to her little puzzle.

One more piece to finding out what and who Methone was.

Graveyard's Fall

She didn't bother with Pasha and the gate, as it had been two weeks since her last visit. Thankfully she could tell Auguste she was going out for the day, choosing daytime transport to her planet instead. She was pretty sure her planet did not experience Sun, but she wanted to make sure. A greenhouse full of sun stones didn't mean anything besides that they had sophisticated and natural way to grow plants. She smiled, waving at Auguste as she left the loft and then quickly down to the stairs.

She felt the great need, a call to her planet. As if it continued to beckon her to come discover more of it. More of Methone. Wasn't it crazy? Just a year ago, she didn't even think of space travel, or discovering planets, or even fighting crime. She didn't question herself or possible memories she could have. She was Nadia Vetrov, sister to obnoxious russian family, including but not limited too 9 brothers, countless cousins and aunts and uncles. She was an aspiring ballet dancer, with mix of contemporay and a bit of hip hot.

She had been single, and with men and women who she never bothered to really remember the names of. Eve and Elzo had just been the two she stayed with the longest for a time.

Now she had a boyfriend, Lorne. She had Auguste, and his Pup, Pasha. She had friends like Colin and Tallulah.

She was more then just...Nadia.

She pressed the button to her planet and she felt the small rush of change between earth and Methone. Busy streets turned to quiet breezes, with the chimes from Soul's stone in the air. She liked knowing that there was places she could call by name on her planet. That they were locations and not just relics of a world past. That she knew the meaning of some, and was discovering the meanings of others. She felt more connected to her planet. More invested in it.

She found herself this time in the deepest parts of the jungle that surrounded the once village. It was hot today, humid , and she could feel that though the sky never changed, it was the day version of Methone compared to earth. She wasn't sure why..the forest was chosen as her landing spot, but she didn't argue.

Luckily, her past life was acting as a spiritual guide of sorts, and Methone watched as her past self waltzed past her, her arms interlinked with other girls that share her coloring and clothing attire. She fell in step behind them, stepping over overgrown pathway. Most of it was intact though, and the longer she stayed on her planet, the more she realized that her planets roadways and buildings seemed....sturdier? Stronger?? Not quite yet rebuilt but like..slowly doing it.

Was that the power of magic? She wondered. She continued her following, watching the past life version of herself. She was young. Pretty. She smiled a lot, seemed entergetic. She giggled with her girlfriends, as they shared some sort of secret. Methone felt a twinge of jealousy, but it faded. She had her own friends, and she was becoming closer to other senshi. She was not just restricted to this planet.

The girls left her, waving her past life off. Curious. Her past life looked around, as if making sure none of them would follow her and then took a off beaten path. Into a thicket of tree's and vines. Methone followed, thankful the woman was visible by her galaxy print sheer clothing. The woods became thicker, the vines larger but it was all eerily quiet. Then she heard the loud crash of water on rock, and it opened into a clearing. The ground turned from dirt, to stone. As if untouched by time, the stone circled around a large pool of bright blue and green water, and when she looked into it, she could see all the way to the bottom, where stone figurines were placed, and even some fallen trees. It looked like, she thought to herself, when you saw the movies with the ship graveyards, and you could see the clearly from the surface of the water. Except it was trees and stone figurines.

The waterfall it's self was tall, leading up a large cliffside that spanned for a mile or more.

“It's the pool of fallen.” Her past life whispered, dipping her hand into the water. The surface didn't move and Methone knew she wasn't talking to her. “We call it Graveyards Fall. It doesn't actually hold dead people in it...” Her past self laughed a little, looking into the water. “But the memories of them. Some come here and bathe in the pool, or take the water to drink...and it takes the painful memories they don't want. Its sacred.” She looked up, as if she heard a crack of a branch before gesturing whoever it was she was talking to, “Hurry we have to leave.” She whispered. “As a Ferryman, even being here is dangerous.”

She disappeared into the woods with whoever it was, and then it was quiet again.

“Ferryman?” She looked at the pool. What did it mean that Methone was a ferryman? For what?....

Perhaps she should look a little more into the rites of saturn, The last time she had been here, Methone had mentioned the ties the planet had with Saturn. That they were the...sight before the end. Did that mean that they were a...planet to cater to last wishes before death?

Methone saw the flash of clothing again, thinking it was her past life, returning to share more insight. But it didn't move, besides to sway in the branches of a low tree. She went over to it, picking up a large tattered piece of the sash she had.

“We can put it back together if you want...” The girls before, the ones with her past life spoke up. “We just need a few more pieces.” They whispered, “We can fix your sash Methone.”

And they were gone, and she was looking at it. Her sash.

What had happened?

Dance of Forgiveness

She had four giant pieces of a sash now, and put together (though they didn't form like the original two had), it spanned now at least 5 feet. She felt close to the end of the journey to understanding what Methone was. She had vague idea, a bright ephiony that was right within her reach about it. Methone had a sash in her past life, it was a viable part of her. A viable part of who she was.

It was the object that was linking her past self to herself now.

So when she felt two weeks had passed again, she took all the pieces of the smooth silk to her planet. She didn't even question how the paths had formed better, stronger. No longer were weeds and grass sprouting between the stone placing. The buildings seemed more...solid. Like a tornado could come through and they'd make it through.

Past life fell in step with her, like a constant presence on the Island. She didn't seem happy, and like Methone, she carried a ripped and torn piece of sash.

“How could they be so cruel?” her past life said, “All we have ever done is welcome the ones who are destined to fade. All we do is make their journey to the cauldron as happy and sweet and easy.” She sniffled, bringing her sash up. “He tore my sash into small pieces. Because he cannot accept his fate to come.” She held the sash up to her face and the tears disappeared into the silky smooth. “I thought he'd be happy. I can't take him to Saturn unless he's happy...”

Methone tilted her head over, “Why not?”

“Saturn is such a dark place, and it feels like gloom. No one wants to go, But Methonions, we work hard to give them the final wishes. Food, and sex. Lights, dances, music, peace. All I ever wanted was peace.” Ever since the war had started, it was like the thoughts drifted in her mind. “What do I do?” “Where did I go wrong?” “What happens as ferryman?”

“My sash...” She held it up, “Do you think it'll heal it?”

“I hope so...” Methone replied, with her own pieces. They walked together in silence, one sniffling. One calm and relaxed. Two sides of a coin. Two side of Methone.

Past life veered into the path to the dias, as she stepped onto the large circular platform. Methone followed behind her. Her past life went to the largest of stones that faced them. A single tie of the cloth was around the stone and it shone like the northern lights about.

She laid the pieces out, so Methone did the same. She moved back on her knees, so Methone did.

She clapped her hands together. Methone followed.

As if her past life led the dance, she poured all her grief of not being able to help someone, at the loss of the sash that was very much a part of a methonion as the lights it stood for. At the piece of history she wished to reclaim. At the length of time she had secluded herself away from the planet...only coming now to accept it for what it was.

Methone danced, showing the planet that she deserved this item. That she deserved this to be fixed and whole. That she was learning more then she could every think about. That like her past self, all she wanted was the deep spiritually connection that Methone had with her planet.

She didn't know how long she danced, as her fuku's bangles and coins clapped and chimed together. She didn't know how long she fell into the steps she only remembered because of her past self.

It was a dance of forgiveness.

She fell, her hands clapping on the ground and a tear falling down. She brushed it away, standing to find herself in front of the stone. Her sash was spread on the ground, whole and one piece. She picked it up, running her hands over it, over the think material. Unlike her past self though, the sash had gold bangles attached to the end, making it a bit heavier....but she attached it to her wrist and laughed in surprise, as a small formation of Northern lights surrounded her like the sash did. She twirled with it, moved her arms with it. Laughed with it.

Her forgiveness for being gone so long had been accepted. It was only a matter of time before Methone...accepted Methone.

The Final Dance

User Image
The last sequence before the night falls.

It had been a week since her upgrade from Ash, and she felt. Lighter. Stronger. Gloved hands played with the translucent layered skirt. She felt...decorated. Gold bangles and coins danced across her skin, brushing the bare layers. Her collar moved from being...just a collar to more of a shawl. Everything about her screamed Aurora borealis in its purest form. She even had small fluffy white wings, something she reached over sometimes in attempt to play with.

They didn't really do anything but they were....super adorable.

Ash had told her, in the new power, she could visit her homeworld again. With her Aurora's sash, she took to the rooftops and then pressed the button up to go to her world. It welcomed her almost instantly with a calm break in waves. Her slippers touched down on warm sand and the air smelled of the sweet flowers that decorated the landscape.

Methone was in bloom, and like the senshi, it reflected the tender loving care that had been taken with both. She was alive, healthy, happy. The planet wanted to be the same. After years of waiting for her...It was ready.

The next vision hit her harder, a little more realistically. They were gathered at the stone circle platform. The night was bright with lights, dancing in the sky. There was nervous chittering among the girls and the boys. Aurora's sashs decorated each of the residents. Off to the side were comfortable chairs and lounges set up for guest. Including the Alreschians and Aegrians. It was, in fact a very special occasion for the Methonions.

Tonight was the night the lights in their sky matched with Saturn, turning their connected neighbor into a vital and pleasing energy. Sailor Aegir, in his full glory was present. Methone couldn't help but fidget in the crowd when she realized it. He was one, she thought, she treasure the most of her alliances. They had built their underwater city...it was a great gift indeed. She found her eyes briefly wandering from the senshi to a knight. She had invited him, privately. Unsure if he would come. His white hair was a stark contrast to those around him, but he seemed to still blend in well. She gave him a nervous wave.

Then she moved to the front of the group of her people, until she was the point of the dance. She lowered herself, to her knees and gave into the prayer. Ever so slowly, the dance began and she was moving, the first part of her hand coming up, her other falling. The sash falling with her arm movements. Then, the group joined her. They moved and breathed as one. The sashes rose and fell and together they mimicked the sky, dancing in the fluid waves that the northern lights did.

It was like watching it on the ground. The dance stopped and then:

“Blessed be, Pass peacefully.” The group said in unison and their sashes glowed brightly. Claps followed and she moved away from the group. As she did, she found the white haired knight and drew him away.

Methone held her head as she replayed the dance in her mind. It was important. She needed to do it. She wanted this. Her planet had shown her what it had been leading up to all the way. Aurora's sash had only been a piece of it.

She remained on the planet, practicing the dance until she couldn't feel her legs anymore. Once she mastered it, she went back home. She would return when the time was right. She could feel it. Her planet was ready and now she was.
She would bring them too, because no dance should be ignored.
