The shirt leaving his head, Zien sighed in relief for his shoulder as well as not being stuck so painfully in his shirt. It took the elemental a moment to really focus on the fact that Karu was so close...and the fact that he was practically encircled in his arms. Once he was aware of that, Zien was hyper aware of the presence at his back; the refreshing coolness that came with Karu, his breath teasing his blonde and purple hair, cool on his hurt shoulder. For a moment the young man forgot to breath, only remembering when Karu gave back his shirt and broke away.

His sudden lack of presence was haunting and raw, but Zien said nothing. Simply sat on the sofa and prepared to be pampered a bit more. A few times, he had felt the small brush of Karu's cool fingers on his warmer then normal skin, and felt his face flush almost instantly while he shivered...in a far from bad sort of way. So focused on getting his inside under control as his heart raised and his cheeks burned, Zien almost didn't hear his vampire's roommates questions.

"...o-ooh, yea...it's fine," he stammered out, looking up at Karu and noticing that he was feeling about as awkward as Zien felt himself; course that only made him blush more.

The question about this afternoon though, made the young elemental laugh and break out in the boyish grin that he was so famous for. Leaning forward he just placed his brow on the vampire's shoulder still chuckling.

"I could do some painkillers and a damn nap, but that's very boring of me..."

I'm so in love with you
Make love your goal

The power of love
A force from above
Cleaning my soul
Flame on burn desire
Love with tongues of fire
Purge the soul
Make love your goal

Thankful that everything was okay - well, regarding the wrap Karuso could rest knowing there wasn't anything worry about any more. Hm... to worry directly about Zien anyway. He didn't see Zien look up at him or the blush that he gave off in return, Karuso didn't know if he was blushing because of how cold blooded he was... in some ways he wished he could just give it away... let Zien do the acting.

But that was it, Karuso realised maybe he has to make a move - perhaps, to be happy... he should take the risk, make the chance... perhaps he could deal with the change. But does Zien feel the same way back? He could ruin a perfectly fine friendship - but could he live like this if he didn't feel the same way?

His mind had changed so quickly from fear and worry about his self that now he worried about Zien. Then there it was again, Zien's laughter and boyish grin that he always had, it made the strange feeling in Karuso's stomach twist. And then he leaned against his, putting his brow on his shoulder as he chuckled. Karuso froze, he could barely look down at the blonde locks he was just thinking frantically to himself. He's so close... his eyes looked left and right, He- he wouldn't be so close if he didn't... Karuso could feel the warmth of Zien's skin against him, he could see Zien's still exposed back and shoulders, and aside from the wrapped up one they were so toned and young. Then he realised that Zien replied to him. With wide eyes he looked down at Zien, who's head was inches from his own on his shoulder, his white hair dangled down mizing with the blonde and purple locks against his chest. He called himself boring and Karuso couldn't possible agree, he couldn't help himself he just blurted out "I- I don't think you're boring" he then placed his hand on Zien's back, almost embracing him almost as if they were hugging. But in a sudden surprise he added "I-i mean that's not boring" he looked away and that feeling in his stomach got even stronger as he lifted his arm away, a sadness struck him as he said quietly "But... I could give you some company - if you liked... i mean... I- i'd like to..."

It wasn't until now that the thought of him going to sleep and not being right here made him feel sad and... that he really missed Zien. It was terribly selfish of him but he couldn't help it. He wanted so bad just to turn his face back to Zien and hold him close, he wanted Zien's warmth against him he wanted to hold Zien safe and keep him as close as possible. He was just so unsure and scared that he might do something wrong - he's never done anything like this before he's never had a relationship before he was treading on water - he was so unsure whether to wait for Zien to get a hint or whether he should just plunge himself into the ocean. But by now Karuso was most definitely blushing, even on his pale cheeks the delicate rosiness would most definitely be glowing. His heat was beating so fast too, he hoped Zien wouldn't feel it from his chest - or does he? Maybe he does want Zien to feel that, would it be a good enough sign for Zien? For any other reason Karuso's heart should be steady not rushing as if to be in battle.

For the few moments he had his head turned away from Zien, he hoped that Zien's head wouldn't leave his shoulder but he knew it would. In these few moments it felt like hours were going by as he kept thinking to himself wishing he had just used that moment to not let go of Zien. Why didn't i just do it?! he cursed in his head.

...I should have just held him close...

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?

The reassurance that he wasn't boring was there...it made the young elemental chuckle as he continue to lean on his friend and roommate. Feeling Karu's cool hands and arms around him like a cool spring breeze or a sudden rush of cool water after a hot work out were incredibly soothing. Zien didn't want Karu to let go even if he inwardly shuddered at the touch, far from a bad way though and remained relaxed. Zien only smirked further as the vampire corrected himself fumbling with his words in a bashful fashion.

The ancient vampire known for proper edict was fumbling over words, and Zien couldn't help but find it cute and charming. "That's good...I have to keep you're life interesting after all..." the young elemental murmured.

What really floor Zien though was the words that came out of Karu then. Still fumbling in that cute charming way that made him grin at the floor where the silver haired vampire couldn't see. But his friend and roommate just wanted t keep him company...on a nap...thought ran wild on that wide open prospect now. Zien blushed as his mind raced to rather...unsavory places that some would say. His drowsy mind, mix with exhaustion of the fight as well as training, words came out of his mouth before he even knew he was saying anything.

"You're all the company I want or need Karu..." he murmured, in such a tone of depth was genuine and serious. Zien though mentally slapped himself for his embarrassing words. Groaning at his lack of brian to mouth filter some times, the young man burrowed his face further into Karu's shoulder and collar to hid said embarrassment; his one free hand clutching the crimson material of the still fancy and old style jacket Karu wore.

'I'm going to die of embarrassment...that was so damn sappy; far from attractive...' he mentally said berating himself for his stupidity.

You're the light, you're the night
You're the color of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much

The longer he kept his head turned away the more the pain i his chest seemed to hurt. The feeling of having missed any chances or getting something wrong was too much to bare. Zien buried himself further into Karuso's shoulder and it made Karuso's stomach twist further, it was worse than driving over a sudden drop in the road. That was when he said, quite seriously, that Karuso was all the company he wanted... or needed. It left Karuso winded, he was staring blankly before him as Karuso's head got heavy on him. He didn't say that like he was joking... Karuso thought. He could feel his lungs breathing faster and faster with the beat of his heart.

He felt a small tug on his jacket and it made him make a sudden choice, he didn't think he breath he didn't do anything really except look back at Zien, finally, and wrap his arms around him and hold him close and tight whilst doing his best to avoid his wounded shoulder. Karuso buried his head on Zien's head, he let the smell of Zien's body consume him and the warmth he eminated he accepted with open arms - literally. He didn't know what to say he just held on tightly and didn't want to let go. He hoped he wasn't wrong but for once he actually thought that he was right and that Zien would return the same. That was when Karuso nudged his face closer to Zien's neck, but he didn't want to drink or bite. He kept his face closer to Zien's in the hope that he would nudge closer to him. He couldn't believe what he was thinking now,but the moment itself was just getting to him. He wanted to feel Zien's skin, feel Zien hold him back and more than anything he felt the urge to... kiss him, bury his hands in his blonde locks. At the moment he could feel Zien's good warm shoulder and collar bone under his hand, and beneath his other finger tips Zien's warm, toned side. He... his thoughts were in places he'd nver expected whilst at the same time not really thinking at all. Finally, he quietly said "You're the only company I've wanted ina long time..."

Every inch of your skin is a holy grail I've got to find
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire
Yeah, I'll let you set the pace
Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head spinning around I can't see clear no more

Love me like you do, touch me like you do, what are you waiting for?

He figured that Karu would have pushed him away by now; this was the longest that they had been this close. All Zien could smell, breath and think about was Karu and how bloody close he was, he was practically delirious from the effect the vampire was having on him. But it only increased as Karu drew him even close; the elemental's body slipping off the edge of the sofa so he knelt on the floor with Karu. On his knees, strong, familiar arms wrapped around him with a sense of urgency that Zien knew Karu didn't want to let go. Neither did he want his vampire to let him go...'his vampire'...there was an interested idea and one the young man didn't argue with. For Zien felt the safest encircled in Karu's arms.

So it was no surprise when Zien lifted his arms ignoring any pain in his shoulder and wrapped his arms around Karu's neck. It felt perfect...right to be there with his arms around Karu; it brought a pleased smile to the young elemental's lips.

Feeling the nuzzle against his tan cheek, Zien' couldn't stop the blushed the blossomed there; reaching to ears even. Though the thought of Karu wanting to bit him crossed his mind, he felt like there was something else that his vampire wanted. Shivering in a pleasant way as he felt those strong fingers in his hair, Zien ran his own hands through Karu's silver hair; never feeling something so soft and silky. Those whispered words in his ear sounded like the sweet words a lover would say and it only caused a twisting in Zien's heart that he found was familiar and forgein at once.

Drawing his face back a bit, Zein felt Karu's nose and cheek brush against his own tan and warmer one. He only drew back far enough so that he could look up at the vampire that held him so close; kept him safe and happy...so happy that he hadn't felt this kind of happiness in some time.

Their breath mingled, the soft buffs of air from Karu caressing Zien's cheek. His honey amber eyes staring into the silvery grey that were his vampires...the words sounding better to him every single time as he thought it over. So close, it would be so easy to eclipse that inch of distance and do what he had been dreaming about for so long.

Before his cowardice got the best of him, Zien was leaning forward, eyes closed as he lay a shy hopeful kiss upon Karu's cool soft lips. Hoping that he hadn't just screwed up anything with them and that the kiss would be welcome.

Feeling Zien's arms surround him sent an overwhelming feeling up his spine, it was a mixture of hot and cold and a chaotic swirling in his stomach that made his knees weak. The nervousness he was experiencing was beyond that of any he's felt before but at the same time he was excited, thrilled, it was like a strange ecstasy. He felt so complete with his arms around him and Zien's around himself the feeling of excitement to be with him growing each second. After his nudge, Zien's face pulled back slightly and at first panic set through his body and caused his heart to skip a beat. Karuso opened his eyes expecting Zien to be glaring at him, but instead he was staring at him with almost sleepy amber eyes whilst resting his nose against Karuso's. He felt Zien's breath against his face and wasn't quite sure what to do next, but he couldn't keep looking into Zien's eyes for the nervousness would sweep him off his knees so instead he looked between his eyes and Zien's lips.

Zien's warm hand kept Karuso's face close, and suddenly he felt like he was Zien's... that feeling of ownership strange and invigorating at the same time made Karuso feel wanted more than ever - and it caused the vampire to want to protect Zien more and more until his last dying breath. Karuso felt it so strange that no words had to be spoken between them for each of them to understand what they were thinking. It was like mutual thoughts that they shared and only small, minute movements meant something giant. He suddenly felt Zien leaning forwards, Zien's eyes closed and Karuso's body could've froze until their lips met - delicate and warm against the coldness of his own.

Like instinct Karuso closed his eyes and slightly parted his lips. His hands through Zien's hair, fingers intertwining through his bangs and holding Zien delicately closer as he parted his lips over Zien's. The feeling shot through him like lightning, red hot like lava flooding his veins. Zien was so warm, his skin, his breath and his lips, everything was sending mixed signals of panic and excitement through him. Karuso then leaned back and sat down, crossing his legs beneath Zien and pulling him down to sit on his lap as he leaned back against the table, submerged between the table and sofa. When his tongue began to explore he was shocked and brave, a natural instinct forcing him.. no... making him want to share Zien's, feel the warmth... feel so connected. He even proceeded to move his spare hand from Zien's back to Zien's chest - the heat was unreal, and the closeness they shared even more alien and wonderful.

He was so happy he gave in.

He had taken a risk, and for once it paid off. Karu didn't push him away, no instead he draw him closer. Parted his lips in invitation and leaned back against the adjacent table and sofa, leaving the young man in his lap. Karu's fingers in his hair, his lips on his, Zien felt like he was on fire, but the vampire cool touch putting out that fire and leaving behind only steam.

Things only got further intense leaving Zien gasping slightly when he felt the touch of Karu's touch. A shock running through him, while the very kiss itself was addictive he didn't want to let go. But eventually the elemental had to as his lungs were desperate for air, so finally breaking away with great reluctance, Zien rested his brow against Karu. Never letting go of the vampire completely however; hands and arms tangled in silver tresses and around Karu's shoulders.

Zien couldn't even think of a word that could describe the wonderful experience he had just had.

When he felt Zien pull his lips away Karuso suddenly felt so disconnected, and it was almost like Zien had become a sweet addiction that gave him a rush. Karuso barely opened his eyes when their brows met, the weight of Zien on his shoulders and waist a pleasant reminder that his elemental was still close. Getting his breath, he began to realise just how cold he really is after the warmth he'd borrowed was eliminating. He couldn't describe what he was feeling and he never wanted it to stop. Looking down he could see Zien's face close to his and his warm body just below, where he had moved his hands to Zien's sides. He couldn't hold back a grin that he tried to hide the best he could, it took the best of his willpower not to chuckle nervously, but he did say "I think i've wanted to do that for a long time..." And Karuso mentally punched himself for sounding so stupid.

It was after the rush left him he realise how uncomfortable the position was, so he got his arms under Zien's waist and lifted him as he stood up gracefully and without any objection from his muscles. Karuso could jump from a ten story building, landing on his feet and stand up and walk off just as easily with his vampiric strength and endurance. He twisted around, never letting his face leave Zien's before sitting back on the sofa and resting Zien on his lap once more... and he couldn't resist - he wanted more it was a new kind of lust where guilt was omitted. Karuso gently nudged his face against Zien's, hoping for another chance to kiss him whilst he shuffled his arms behind him to take off his jacket.

In all honesty he wasn't sure what he was doing was right or wrong, he'd been so alone for so long, fixated on vengeance for the last few centuries whilst trying to re adapt to life the last year... but he followed Zien's move and so far so good. He wanted to put his hands on Zien's skin again, like it was a magnet attracting him closer but at the same time he worried that he was too cold for Zien... that doing so was too selfish...

At Karu's comment, he couldn't help but chuckle rather happily, could even feel the blush that was creeping up his neck into his cheeks. More so as Zien realized he was quiet literally shirtless, but he didn't really care either.

"I'm pretty sure I've wanted to do that since I met you, but I held off for fear of scaring the big bad vampire off...who ended up actually being a real big softy," teased Zien as he continued to lean against Karu.

Neither did he move as Karu certainly didn't let him go to make him think he wanted to be let go, Zien was rather comfortably placed in his vampire's lap back on the sofa. The nuzzle was a clear as day request to continue what they had started on the floor, and that made Zien break in that boyish grin of his. Capturing Karu's lips rather earnestly, his hands assisted him in removing that heavy red jacket of his. Once removed it left behind the shirt Karu wore still remnant of his old ways and culture, but Zien found it more attractive then an irritation. Everything about the damn vampire was irresistibly attractive.

How he managed to not kiss him before this, Zien would never know. But since he was, the young elemental wrapped his arms around Karu's neck, lifting himself on his knees so that he stood slightly higher then the vampire he sat on; the kiss deepening. Zien may have even gotten a little over zealous and bit Karu's lips slightly.

Zien's reply left Karuso sheepishly smirking as he looked down at the elemental's chest, a big softy... he thought to himself, to which he replied "That's our secret... okay?" in a teasing tone before Zien's lips met his again. Karuso wasn't one for being under dressed but he had to admit the freedom without his jacket made holding Zien closer to him all that much easier. Feeling Zien's arms around his neck he accepted Zien's embrace, but then he lifted himself onto his knees so he was higher than Karuso, a strange feeling that Zien was very much the one in control suddenly as he gently bit his lip. It was a surprise at first but sent a shiver down Karuso's spine as he paused from kissing, he smirked again and breathed out before kissing Zien back and feeling the warmth of his tongue against his own. Karuso took that moment to do the same to Zien and return a soft bite onto Zien's lower lip, baring his fangs to the young elemental as he let go and twisted on the sofa with a grin he couldn't hold back. He, with Zien's help, pulled his shirt off before bringing his arms under Zien's butt he cradled him as he leaned back to lay back on the plump sofa, and then forcing Zien to lay on top of him. It was strange, Karuso was older than any man they could possible see in this land yet he still had the body of a well trained young man.

All he was missing was a tan.

The closeness was... indescribable. Karuso had to do his best not to let out his breath with the slightest touch from Zien. Karuso just let the moment get to him, still barely thinking and just acting in a way he thought natural as he began to kiss Zien's neck and run his finger tips up the elemental's side.

I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm.
And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold,
My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones,
It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me.
I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight,
And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.

((very sorry to be bringing you back here Nemo, i know you get a lot of writers block with Zien but trust me... or hate me... when i say i have a VERY good reason to be here... teheheheh))

Cardy had been scrying all night, ever since they boarded the Zeppelin last night until the moment they arrived this morning. She was throwing those runes high in the air and catching them every hour on the hour and she still promised Euphemia that what she was looking for had to be in Neutral City. On the way she even seemed to perk up, become happier to speak with Euphemia than she had been the last few days, mentioning how she was so thankful Euphemia was coming, that once she gets what she wants she'll return the favour to Euphemia, whatever she wants, she'll give it to her. Finally, she'll be able to save her grandmother from the curse, thats what she kept saying, finally... there would be no more suffering.

In time it lead them to a house on the outskirts of the city, It was on the edge of a hill overlooking the city and had an expanse of short grass surrounding it. The modern style was to be adored. Cardy and Euphemia were coming up the hill when she caught glimpse of a familiar face through the window, and with a smile she couldn't help but mutter "the vampire", recalling the last time herself and Euphemia crossed paths with Karuso and Zien a month or so ago. She came to a sudden stop and asked Euphemia to stay here by the tree and look after her basket, "I'll be right back" she said with a small smile, standing in her vision of the house so she wouldn't see who was inside. Placing her basket on the grass she uncovered the blanket and revealed her guns, each one decorated with a dangling red or green crystal. "It might be dangerous, don't follow me unless i tell you too. If what I'm looking for is here they might be using it for evil". Her order was final, her tone stressing the severity and how she relied on Euphemia staying back.

She walked towards the house, regulating her breathing, feeling her heart pounding against her adolescent chest, it was far too small to hold back the adrenaline about to pump through her body. When she got to the door she knocked three times, each knock slowly and firmly. She held her guns behind her back and looked up, waiting for someone to answer. A pale face answered to her, and he winced, surprised to see her here. "Uh, hello?.. Cardy I believe?"
"Hello" she smiled, "I'm looking for something and I'm hoping you can help me, see. All my calculations lead me here, so please don't lie." her voice seemingly innocent, "where is the book?" she then asked, less sweet. Karuso shook his head, perplexed, "... what book? I don't know what you could be looking for-"

She pulled out both her guns and aimed them at his head, "what the-"
"the book, i know you have it!" she demanded, but that was more than enough for the vampire, with one clean swat of his hand he threw Cardy back with a strange dark magic and in the blink of an eye and giant, long sword appear in his hand. Cardy was launched backwards but landed on her feet like an agile insect, small and unimportant, but more powerful than meets the eye. "GIVE ME THE DEMONARIA!" she then shouted, and the sound of that name... that... book rung through Karuso's ears. It was a curse, a connotation came with it that he never wanted to see or hear of again. "ZIEN!!!!" he cried with a terrifying urgency, trying to get attention of Zien from the back room they had just been lounging in. Cardy threw her gun at him with lightning speed, his focus was thrown off as the gun was engolfed in a small flash of red light as it transformed and turned into a crystal red dagger, he managed to deflect just before it hit him and with his spare hand through an orb of Darcane energy that hit Cardy and exploded. He had hoped that he would have defeated a small, stupid girl. "You shouldn't be searching for such a cursed book!" he called, stepping out of the house to get closer.

But it was too late.

Another blade, this time green, shot from the dust as green flames leapt from the ground and licked the shadow of her body. This time it was so quick he coudln't deflect it and it embedded itself within his chest and threw him back into the doorway. With a gasp he cried out in pain, the dagger was cursed to force wounds to bleed, and bleed he did. But from the flames came a crazed laughter, the kind that came with confidence, defiance, agony and torture. Even in his writhing pain, even when all he could think about was Zien's safety or him by his side, he recognised the laugh. It sent chills up his spine, it made his stomach twist and the pain in his chest sting. The green flames wrapped around the bubble of smoke around Cardy and when it dispersed a much taller, much different figure raised from it. "Hello sweeties, miss me?" the woman asked.

She now stood higher than Euphemia, she had blonde hair that was longer on one shoulder with a black streak through it, she wore a dress fit for battle and high boots. By her side hung a wrapped up whip that glowed red at its tip... the Dagger of Power, and all over her bodiy she was adorned with jewellery that glowed red. The Diadem of Magic, the Ring of Curses, the Trinket of Protection and finally the Necklace of Charming - all five Demonarian artefacts.

Lamia.

She stood without wound or mercy. Somehow... she found her way back once more. Karuso could recall that moment they had all destroyed her in her own Mirror dimension, Mathilda and her mirror magic brought them all out when it shattered and her soul was left behind to be shattered with it. But she was here. When Zien finally appeared all Lamia had to say was, "where is the book, or I swear your precious vampire won't ever take another bite from your putrid body."

((Okay, okay. uhm. FIRSTLY. I HATE HOW BAD THIS POST IS. its lacks so much detail, its a bad example of my writing however i wanted this to happen. Also, sorry about not leaving very much room for you guys to interact, i couldn't do that without making this take ages. but uh,. well. HOORAY... Lamia's back... yeyyy...... **runs away and hides behind Tuna from Nemo's wrath**))

This is the start of how it all ends
They used to shout my name, now they whisper it
I’m speeding up and this is the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

They had been lounging in the back room, snuggled up on the sofa with Karu reading a book aloud to him when they had a knock on the door. Zien was quiet happily content leaning up against his vampire enjoying the sound of his voice regardless of what he had been reading aloud to him. Abandoned on the sofa, Zien was content to nod off for a little shut eye not able to understand the distant voice from the front room.

What he did understand and hear clear as day was his name. Yelled out with urgency and warning and there was only ever one reason why Karu would call out for him in such a way...they were in danger; under attack was a serious possibility.

So up like a fire was lit under his a**, which it could very well have been, the hybrid elemental was racing towards the front of the house, dodging furniture and twisting through doorways and halls of their home. Zien was just reaching the front door area finding the panel wide open and a bleeding Karu on the floor.

"KARUSO!!" cried out Zien rushing forward to hold his friend and roommate in his lap. Feeling the blood on his hands already as he stared at the blade, him knowing enough about magic things to recognize a cursed blade. The pain on Karu's face made Zien's chest ache and his stomach twist. But panic and worry were for later, right now he wanted to know who had done this, so eyes staring daggers and spitting fire, the young man looked up as the laughter rang through the air.

The laughter was familiar, it wasn't hard to place, it made his insides flinch and quake. The fact that all the special items were in her position frightened him even more then the nightmarish woman herself did. His fingers clung to Karu in his arms curled around him as she sounded her threat.

"Screw you Lamia, ya fugly wench!! Like I would tell you something like that even if I did know! You should be shattered to pieces and 6 feet underground, how the hell did you get here!?"

Zien prayed to whatever god or holy being out there that Lamia hadn't gotten a hold of the Prince of Crows.

Euphemia

Cardy had been descrying her runes ever since they boarded the Zeppelin heading past Neutral. Her empty promises and lack of information was starting to anger her, however, a voice inside her comforted her. This voice wasn't her subconscious like she originally thought, oh no, it was a demon manifesting inside of her. When her former self purified Lucas of the darkness strangling him that night they fought Lucifial, that darkness got passed onto her. She had unintentionally carried it over into this life and it had been waiting for the right moment to consume her. Plus, it knew Cardy's true identity and would use her malevolent influential to rise from the girl. For now, it toyed with Euphemia like a puppet easily manipulating her and warping her mind to it's will.

The dirty path they were venturing on lead them to a cottage on a grassy hillside which she had been to once before. Cardy's excited whispered confirmed that the residents were still those vampires that she had encountered a month ago. This was where her whole adventure started and where she obtained her flower sword. Her energetic guardian stopped her from proceeding any further or looking to see if the vampires were still in the cottage. She commanded to sit idly by and watch the basket that would be empty once she removed her guns. Placing it down with a crunch on the soft grass, she flipped the checkered sheet up and apprehended her weapons with the dangling embellishments. The blonde insisted that she stay behind unless she gave the word to fight which caused Euphemia to wonder who the real villain is here. She didn't convince her that they were the ones using this book for their own wicked agendas and the demon whispering in her ear told her otherwise.

The way she commands us is revolting, said the demon manically. Let's use her that way she does to us...it hissed in her pale ears. Euphemia's eyes dulled as she watched the spectacle before her while listening to the demon at the same time. Cardy approached the door happily and knocked on it until one of the vampires answered. Of course, the distance between them made their conversation hard to hear but when Cardy suddenly became hostile, she knew there was something off. Her voice turned up an octave as she demanded to know of the books whereabouts finally forcing the vampire to defend himself. Summoning his oversize sword and knocking Cardy to the ground, he called for his companion to aid him. Her guardian wasn't one to give up and had a trick up her sleeve by throwing her gun with the red crystal on it as a diversion. In a flash of red light, it transformed into a dagger but the vampire's keen sense helped him avoid it in time. A burst of dark magic hit Cardy again as the vampire denied her the pleasure of obtaining the cursed book. Euphemia's still good heart stepped forward seeing her "friend" in danger and she reached out her hand ready to call for her when the demon stopped her. Its clawed hand was now visible around her dainty little arm as it begun adsorbing Lamia's darkness to revive itself. The albino collapsed to her knees, crippled with pain, while her innocent continued to witness the fight below.

A dagger, this one was the one with the green crystal, surfaced from a spark of green flames, and buried itself into the vampire's chest flinging him back. His cries were audible from there but were soon drowned out by the insane laughter coming from Cardy as the flames engulfed her. Euphemia's voice was clogged and her eyes widened in fear that Cardy may be dead, but that wasn't the case. In fact, Cardy was never who she said she was and instead a mysterious woman stood in her place. All the pieces were beginning to connect in her mind, but the demon prevented her from seeing anymore. The pain of its resurrection was so intense on her small body that it practically made her pass out. A bit of conscious still remained as the girl laid there lifelessly still watching the woman she once considered her friend. The woman has long blonde hair with a black streak running through it, a black wardrobe that hugged her hourglass figure, and her chest was cover with cursed items that sparkled an intense red. The last thing she heard was the vampire's make lover, Zien, state her name. "Lamia..." she repeated weakly.

The Five Demonarian artefacts allowed the demon to thrive out in the open as it praised its savior, Lamia, from afar. It looked like the spitting image of Death itself with its skeleton body draped over with a tattered black cape. Its wings sprouting from its back were rotted and it breath smelled of corpses. As it hung over its vessel, it reshaped Euphemia in its own image as well, giving her powers that she never dreamed possible on her own. Since the girl was its puppet, it could stay attached to this world with her now corrupted heart sustaining its form, it would force her to join Lamia's side. From there, it will feed off of both of them like a parasite until it could detach itself and return to its rightful master.

____Lamia Tzench____
"Hell turned me down - in fear that I would kill them again."

Lamia's Lair

Lamia pouted, "I thought you'd be happy to see me?" with puppy dog eyes and her hands on her hips, scorched earth beneath her feet and the smell of charred remains filling the air. Karuso coughed up blood and tried to say something but instead could only bite his teeth together, it hurt too much to speak, he was doing all his best just to breath. The only reminder that he was anything close to alive was the fact that Zien held him close, all the elemental's warmth reaching through his body like fire. Lamia guffawed, "It's funny how when you destroy an unnatural dimension your soul is flung to the next" she began, then laughing again as she rested a hand on her chest, her tone switched when she added "oh, well that's the case when I have all 5 items of Demonaria. Oh, do you like my new castaway?" she gestured to Euphemia over in the trees, noticing her odd behaviour, "oh" was all she could say before shrugging. "Anyway - back to my point. Like I told your pretty boy here, I scryed and i scryed and every time it told me - you have the other half of the Demonaria, so give, it, to me"

All the time she ignored Euphemia so far, for whatever reason she had brought the girl with her was now obsolete, she was but a means to make her disguise more believable. Now that the charade was over, she had no purpose for her, not unless she wanted to join Lamia on her killing spree.

Meanwhile in the citadel, Zoltan stood over the table of countless maps. All that was illuminated was all the possible locations and his and Dorian's faces. He towered over it, almost going mad with the search as he put his hands down on the table and leaned it, "It must be back! You've searched several times already and its all leading to Neutral City!" The search was slowly turning him less cunning than he used to be, the fact that they had narrowly missed it several times was eating away at him like a disease. "scry again, and if it's still there, we're going to get it. No one will stop me"

Items wanted: Diadem of Magic - Ring of Curses - Trinket of Protection - Necklace of Charming - Dagger of Power

"Your heart is weak and broken, almost pointless for my uses. But still, better than no heart at all!"

"You're crazier then either of us thought if you honestly thought we'd be 'happy' too see you," growled out Zien, putting sarcastic emphasis on the word 'happy'.

He would have said more, as the elemental always has more to say when it comes to people like Lamia, but Karu coughed and cringed in pain in his arms. It hurt him as much as it physically hurt Karu to see him like this; he was always the stronger one, he was always just a hot head that got into trouble. Staring down at the pain his companion, friend and roommate was in, Zien only paid half attention to Lamia, glancing up only to note the odd tag-along the witch had with her. He did intently listen thought to how the b***h got free and sowed her soul back together.

When she re-stated that the damn book was there Zien glared further daggers and fire. "We don't have it!!" he snapped, rocks shaking and flicks of sparks coming form his fingertips and the edges of his hair. "We're not stupid; if we did have it we'd have destroyed it, or buried it somewhere no one would find it or toss it to the deepest part of the ocean we could find. Somewhere someone like you would never find it!!"

Zien was so angry and upset that the witch was still alive, he wanted to blow his top, burn everything around them to ashes just to kill her. But he had Karu to look after, a knife in his chest. So with care, one hand left its place cradling the vampire knight to place a hand around the hilt of the blade.

"I got you Karu..." he murmured attempting to comfort him in his pain.

The search for the book had been a long and hard one, one that pushed Dorian's endurance to remain awake and functioning to the demands of his teacher and master. Keeping up with the practically inhuman Zoltan was exhausting and still Dorian did everything to please his master and to also dodge his temper.

Hearing him yell now at him, Dorian flinched, but nodded; shadows under his eyes looking darker in the poorly lit room, the majority of light coming for the locations on the maps did him no favors.

"Of course...Master Zoltan," breathed out a tired Dorian still majority human he still had the need for sleep and food unlike his master. So scrying ones more with his trusted scrying triangle, he closed his eyes and concentrated, feeling the triangle move about in search of the item that they waned to so badly.
