Can't say I'm completely surprised (the game was incredibly neglected and had fallen behind the times) however I'm still saddened by this news.
The game, and this guild which was based on it, holds some very dear memories. Yet time marches on whether we like it or not
Rediscovered my tumblr account today (it died for like 2 years) so I'm drowning in waves of nostalgia today.

I'd have to admit, zOMG is technically the first MMORPG I touched upon. I still remember the the day I got my zETA! code to test it out. I kinda wished others would get to experience the Train introduction.

Little Miss Fortune An announcement just went up about it, too. I'm sooooo sure it's this "potential exploit" that's the reason they're keeping it down rolleyes I figure (if what they said is true at all) it can't be as bad as they say it is since if there really was that big of an exploit I wonder at zOMG being around for as long as it was... if this exploit existed it must have been really really hard to get at for them to take this long to have found it. I haven't played zOMG it quite a while but I'm still sad to see it gone, I still was planning to eventually try and explore the DMS area. Oh well.

Items that are worth too much on the market place drop too frequently. They can't let us get that many items to sell to other Gaians for a small fortune.

They're lying of course, I think they /have/ the resources to fix the game even if it was that damaged.
