"Comfortable? This is going to take a while and once I get started…" He said but even then he leaned in with an almost clinical passiveness to trace light fingers with pressure over her skin…poking, shifting where she centered on the roll of towel and then finally nodded with a small frown.

"Not hurting your back is it?" he added. "I think this will work fine." he waved a half distracted finger at her. "If its not going to break you I mean." He fished out a disposable razor, and a spray bottle.

"Witch hazel, astringent, and helps keep inflammation down…and I gotta shave the area"

"Yeah, I'm fine." It was a little awkward, having a rolled towel under her hips, but not uncomfortable. With a slight frown she reached for her phone, drawing it out of the pocket of her shorts before rolling the band down low so he'd have plenty of room to work.

She did smirk, at his comment about her being breakable. The notion was laughable. "It'd take more than this to break me, don't you worry."

Having already gone through the motions on her previous tattoo, the sight of the razor wasn't unexpected. She flashed him a thumbs up as she unwrapped a pair of headphones and plugged them in. One ear bud was tucked into an ear, the other left out so she could hear him when he spoke.

If he spoke.

The first guy had been chatty for about the first fifteen minutes, then clammed up as he sank into his work. Peyton had come prepared this time, just in case Zac was the silent type while he worked at his craft.

She chose well, once he got started, the sound of the tattoo gun, or even when he used the chisel it was a music and a conversation all its own, like being part of a symphony or a story where the players were ink, skin, machine and blood.
When he’d gotten his first tattoo-gun tattoo he’d described it as feeling a bit like having a cat claw drifting just under the surface of his skin. Admittedly the feeling had happened over and over again but it had only really stung when they had gone close over his shoulder, but tattoos were different for everyone in how much they hurt, though at least ‘hot zones’ for pain were pretty universal.

Perhaps the one interesting thing besides watching the lines appear on her skin, the careful removal of blood, the tilt of his head as he craned his neck back and forth searching for something that only he could see. He hummed, or perhaps softly chanted might be more accurate as he worked.

It was much the same as her last ink job. Zac was quiet, and that was fine. Peyton had her music to sink back into, the buzz of the tattoo gun against her hip, more interesting than actually painful. Her tolerance was high anyways, but beyond that, the dainty Sun liked a little pain. Something she was struggling to accept.

Here and now, she just let it all go. Eye's closed, her mind wandered as the needle hummed along tanned skin. It was oddly relaxing, even peaceful. Even the sound of him humming as he worked.

No, not humming, something else. Chanting, perhaps.

It took several hours to finish the work, simple though it was, he meticulously moved over each line, though with her wandering mind and relaxation with music the time probably floated by with only the vague ignorable needle sting. He finally leaned back In his own chair, dabbed carefully at it again a few more times with the witch-hazel dampened cloth and then nodded.

“Lemmie grab a mirror so you don’t have to bend to see. Fraid I don’t have a full length Mirror.” He offered and set the tattoo gun carefully down where he could carefully clean it.

Whatever he’d been chanting he didn’t seem to have any inclination to mention it, he just looked generally pleased with his work.

“You know the rules, clean clothes, loose clothes, unscented soap careful what you moisturize with so you don’t smother it.” He was saying it pro-forma to be sure, but it was always better safe than sorry.

There came a point, probably, where Peyton's soft voice joined Zacs, though not in chanting. Singing, under her breath, as she did her best to keep still. Really, the needle didn't hurt, it felt interesting, calming. Stinging only when he went over the bones of her hips.

When it was done, and he had sat back with a final dab at newly inked skin, she pulled the bud out of her ear and smiled up at him. "How'd it go?" She didn't try looking down let, waiting for him to grab the mirror.

A nod was given in regards to the rules, she did know. "Fear not, I will not let all this hard work go to waste."

"Well enough on my end, but the tattoo guns are a lot more gentle than the chisel." He grinned. "You're the one who passes judgement on how it looks. Plus we'll need to see what might scab out with it too, could still end up with little faded spots in the lines."
He offered her the mirror.

"I trust you," she reminded him, hand up for the mirror as he offered it to her. At least in this she trusted him. In other things, it remained to be seen, she just didn't know him that well yet. But art, tattooing, these were his passions, and she could see that.

A little careful angling let her take in the pale curves of petals on her hips, and her chest rose in a tiny gasp. Better than she was hoping for, he'd captured what she'd wanted, and then some. "That's so ******** beautiful," she sounded almost pained.

"If it does fade in places, I can come to you to have it touched up, right?"

"Aye mate, like I said I do touch ups free, at least the ones where its literally a miss on my part. If you come back in a few years to touch up faded ink I might charge a small fee for using more ink, but honestly, its just to keep in supplies at that point." He grinned.

"If you ever want to add more let me know, I don't think I'd recommend anything with the chisel but your skin works bloody well with the gun. Damned pleased the runs can make it work here let me tell you."

"You're the best." Slowly, she sat up, trying to keep tension on her stomach so the new ink job was disturbed as little as possible. Up on her feet she gave them another long look over, grinning as she traced the pale lines with bright eyes. So pretty!

"I might, I find getting them done incredibly relaxing." She'd heard they could be addictive, and she was starting to believe it. "What do I owe you?"

He made a non comittal but amused sound. "The only people I know who have ever found the chisel relaxing have no sense of pain at all, that was an adventure let me tell you. The gun is its own story." He chuckled. "Normally I'd ask for money but…seems I've got a room mate all the sudden. We could use something like a changing screen since, I'll swap you if you can pick one up on leave."

"Roommate?" It was a perfectly doable request, so she had no problem agreeing. "Who's your new roommate?" It wasn't really any of her business, but she was curious.

“Uh…well, HER name is… Lina, and SHE wasn’t expecting to find out someone was already in the room.” He cleared his throat looking embarrassed.

Peyton hopped off the bed gingerly, careful of the fresh tattoos riding lover on hips. It was going to be impossible fastening her shorts again, so she just pulled the zipper up enough to keep them from falling, and would have to depend on the length of her shirt to hide the slightly debauched look until she was back in her room and could change into jogging shorts.

"That does sound like a shock. I can get the screen for you." Lina wasn't a name she was familiar with, so whoever this new trainee was, Peyton had not yet met her.

"That...would be amazing." He said with a nod. I considered moving into the basement too just to be a gentleman but, bloody hell Mate, I don't want to be inking people down somewhere with that kind of reputation."

He shook his head vigorously at the thought.
