Looking to the bird lioness once more Clea couldn't help, but to smile in a knowing, motherly way. "Not usually. It's sort of a gift, honestly. Sort of like the Gods are making up for that tsunami, you know?" It wasn't wise for her to speak that openly about her opinions out loud, nor was it in good taste, but Clea wasn't one to hold back.

She cut out another piece from the hole she had made, unafraid to dig her paws deep into the fleshy meat. Her hide may have been painted in sweet hearts, but her own was as hard as the bone she was trying to get to. "You new here? Figured I'd remember seeing fur like that."

In her nervous state Thuraya took a bigger bite than she had meant to. When the green lioness answered her she tried to smile but found it impossible with the amount of food in her mouth so instead she just nodded her head. She had heard about the tsunami that had effected the pride but she had never heard anyone talk so openly about it.

Swallowing what felt like a large lump of food she turned back towards the other lioness. "Yes I am new here, my old home is no more. I found the ocean so appealing I couldn't help but stay." she said with a grin. The water was soothing to be around in her opinion.

"I suppose my fur is unique, though there are lots of blue lions here." Thuraya was happy that her fur made it almost appear as though she could fit in here.

"Have you always lived here?" Thuraya asked the other female before taking another bite.

Kicheko finally got to swallow the blubber she had been chewing on. While it wasn't that nice tasting, the texture certainly was something unique. Perhaps it would do for boredom. You could chew it over and over and it wouldn't get any smaller! Not that she needed something like that to keep her entertained, but perhaps cubs could find it interesting to chew on, or at the very least play with. It was very jiggly. Deciding to leave the hole she had opened up in favor of trying a different part of the whale, she walked up towards the head and sniffed at the gaping mouth. Wow...the teeth were huge!

Hiss looked around at the lionesses as they spoke, chewing her mouthful slowly. She went back for more, tearing a massive chunk from the whale. More and more lions were coming from both prides and the smell of blood and meat were in the air. It was such a strange texture, somewhere between the land animals and the few fish she had had in her life. It was very tasty, though, and she was glad to have followed the Bahari back to partake in the feast.

That being said, she wasn't fond of the way the oil was making her coat so slippery. Definitely would need a long bathe in the sea after this.

Lo' and behold, there was a familiar body in the group - another Kizi member who had found her way to the giant whale carcass. Making his way closer to her, he nodded his red-haired head, giving her a welcoming look.

"Rather peculiar creature, isn't it? A shame that it passed on." He started a conversation with, tearing a bit (literally) of meat from the creature, to test the texture of it.

Kicheko, distracted for a bit, stuck her head into the mouth of the whale. "Helloooooooo!" she called out, grinning at the interesting reverberations. Heh...this could be fun. She sniffed a bit before pulling back, deciding to leave the innards for later. They smelled extra fishy and, while she loved seafood as much as the next Bahari, she didn't care much for the strong stuff.

Hiss looked up in surprise as someone sidled up to the whale beside her. She could tell it was a lion from her own pride, although she wasn't sure of his name. "Oh, yes," she agreed, nodding as she glanced up at the monster again. "It's so big! I thought elephants and giraffes were as big as other animals got but this...this definitely wins."

She grinned happily at the male before digging in again, reaching into the little hole she'd made with her mouth to grab more meat, exposing more of the bone that connected fin to body.

"It's very tasty once you get past the white stuff," she added after swallowing.

Clea was reaching her limit faster than she could have imagined. Her large swipes had cut out more of the beast than her stomach could truly hold and it was beginning to show on her already green face. This meal likely wouldn't settle well with her later.

"Pity about that." It was not her intention to seem unkind but Clea was callous in her speech. "Seems as good a place as any to settle. I did it, with that bum I call a mate." She snorted and brushed her maw off on her paw. "You here with anyone or is it just you?"

Thuraya smiled, she wasn't use to such out spoken females in the U'W she wouldn't likely have been tollerated by many. Some males would have still watched out for her but most males would feel a need to put her in her place.

"As of now I am alone. I use to have a mate, a kind male but when our old pride fell apart he was forced to leave before I left and I was never able to find him once everything settled down." she told him with a sad tone. Thuraya had had such a large lovely family in her old home and now she was here all alone it made her kind of sad.

"Perhaps that will change though." she said as she took another bite trying to eat her feelings.

The dark lioness stood up, stretching before beginning to walk again. Down the whale she walked, pausing to stare at where the waves crashed over the tail. What did the tail bones look like? She was curious about that part, for sure. She went back up the dead body, finding a new spot to start gnawing away.

Hurrying down the beach from the trees, one of the newest members to join the pride all but bounced. "Come on, Natsu! I know there'll be plenty, but I wanna see it before it's mostly gone!" The lioness had been, truthfully, quite happy to have found the Bahari'mtoto with her cubhood friend and mate. Their new pride was small, yes, but it it was also still active and very close-knit, from what she'd seen of it so far. They also hadn't been unhappy to see new faces join the numbers! She stopped and gaped up at the dead whale, letting out a quiet 'wow.'

Right behind the copper-haired lioness was a brown-haired lion. Like her, he was very happy to have found the Bahari'mtoto, and that they had been happy to have them. He knew about their boisterous neighbors to the south, of course, but he wasn't keen on their partying ways. Their old pride had been quite peaceful, and the Bahari wasn't much different.

He stopped and gaped up at the whale, having not yet come down to see it. It was huge, and it was just sitting there, a smorgasbord of food for the pride to eat. So much so that they had to get help from their neighbors... He couldn't blame Athena for thinking that was a good idea, as, admittedly, it was a very good idea. He nudged Siobhan, grinning, then hurried over with her, digging in and beginning to eat.

Watching the lioness rip through the deceased whale, he leaned up against it himself, trying to rip a small hole in to the flesh so he could attempt to taste it out also, an ear flickering at the sounds that it created. He wasn't entirely a fan of the noises of the flesh being torn - it was a little different than usual. Regardless, he worked on the carcass, looking towards her.

"It's . . . not entirely like a smaller fish, isn't it? Slippery and a little oily." He muttered, looking down at his mismatched paws, feeling slick and gross feeling, but hey, it tasted fine. He would have to bring some home.

"I am Keme, an Alchemist, yourself?"

Although the pride was being rather chattery while they worked, Lilo'kai worked quietly, stripping away the flesh that was in front of her, as meticulous and careful as she always was. Maybe it was raising eight cubs alone, but she was much more deft now, than what she was when she was a young cub. . .

The birds were even starting to help out, Kicheko noticed. They pecked at the lifeless eyes that were easily the size of her own head, and at the bits that had started to rot away. None of the lions had even attempted to touch the meat that had been sitting in the water all this time, leaving that to the fish and predators out in the sea. The ocean would be a dangerous place to enter right now, as she could bet there were unseen groups of creatures nibbling at the huge whale just as they were on the sands.

Hiss licked her lips, her stomach starting to protest just how much meat she was trying to shove in it. Ah, if only she had two stomachs...then she could eat more! She nodded in agreement as the male spoke and she tilted her head just a bit as he introduced himself. She wasn't too familiar with the Kizi way of life just yet, but she had been told by the queen to use her gypsy name after having used her real name when the queen had asked.

"I'm Hiss," she said with a smile. "And I'm a dreamer! I left my snakey friends back in the Kizi. I wasn't sure they'd like sitting around watching us eat all too much," she added, picking at her teeth with a claw. A bit of blubber had gotten wedged between her molars. Very uncomfortable.

"An Alchemist, huh? Do you make things?" she asked, unsure of what the profession did. She was still getting to know the ropes of the pride, since she spent most of her time in the Dreamer's cave or talking with her snakes.

Some weren't sure how Clea's two sons had put up with such a mother, or why her mate hadn't left. The love between the two was often shrouded in skeptical cynicism. She rarely doted on him, that was for sure, and more often than not she berated him in public for errors.

But love was blind, and so was the dead whale.

"s**t happens," Clea murmured, then cleared her throat. "Not like it's good to lose your mate or anything. "I wouldn't worry about it too much. They're all a bunch of cuddly yuppies here, so I don't you'll be feelin' lonely for too much longer."

At least, that was in her opinion. If she had another damn vision and it showed anything about the lioness she'd be sure to pass the intel along.

Her voracious appetite was beginning to ebb. As the birds came in to aid in the feast she found herself pulling back, the desire to eat as much as she could waning under the weight of a full gut.

Thuraya smiled at the other lioness she may be a little cras but Thuraya didn't mind at all. "Oh I am sure you are right in no time at all I will find someone." She told the green lioness.

Thuraya was beginning to get full. She was slightly ashamed of the amount she had eaten but she had gone hungry while in the rogue lands more than once and she was anxious to put some of the weight back on. She was no good to a pride if she didn't have some decent fat on her.

"How long have you lived here?" Thuraya asked going in for another bite. The green lioness didn't seem to love her home but yet she stayed.

Athena let out a groan, climbing down off the carcass. She was feeling full already... So much meat... So much! She found a spot on the beach and flopped over, a smile on her face. Oh, this was so good... She couldn't remember a time she'd been quite so full! As she rolled onto her back, she poked her belly. It was decidedly distended, and it actually made her laugh a bit. She almost looked pregnant! She knew she wasn't though - She'd not done anything with any male yet. Not since that pink and white guy that had sired her son and three daughters, anyway. And her present mate was half leopard... She didn't know if cubs would be in their future or not. She settled back, closing her eyes and smiling a genuine smile. Being this full... It felt good.

Siobhan sat down, a chunk of meat in her mouth. She looked up at the whale, noting that there were now bones visible. Lots of bones. Somehow, the lions had actually eaten that much. Pickings, it seemed, were slim at the moment, even with the rains. That or it was harder to hunt, what with the rain-soaked ground being harder to grip. The fish, too, seemed to stay away from the shore, even with more nutrients in the water. The dead thing on the beach suited them well right now.

As Natsu ate, he soon found himself the whale's stomach. The dark-maned lion prodded at it, frowning. "I wonder what this thing eats..." He leaned out of the hole into the rib cage, calling to the other lions eating. "Should I open this thing's stomach up and see what's in there? It looks like it's full!" Indeed, a part of eating any animal was finding out what its stomach contents were. Granted, this was nothing like eating a zebra or antelope, which would yield a stomach that was full of grasses. This was a creature out of the ocean, something that was eating other creatures of the ocean. As he looked up at it, he wondered if the contents had anything to do with the ring-shaped scars.

So...that was a whale.

The Gypsy Prince was among the first to depart the ball and make his way down the shoreline to see for himself what had caused such a commotion among their neighbors. Sure enough, just as the two visiting Bahari had said, there was a massive beast laying in the sands. Much of the pride was already gathered around, feasting on the flesh of the strange creature over their own private conversations.

He tore his eyes away for just a moment, drinking in the territory of their neighbors before proceeding a little further inward. He held his head high and walked with the smooth, purposeful gait of a noble passing through his own court. Of course, these were neighbors but he carried the representation of his family on his back. As he fell into the shadow of the beast he wrinkled his nose. It certainly didn't smell wonderful...

Though it was already torn into bits, he couldn't help but marvel. He had only seen these things at a glimpse and from so far away. To actually stand beside one- even a dead one - was powerful. "So this is the feast of the Bahari... very impressive." He spoke out loud, addressing no one in particular. Without knowing names or faces it was a little strange and for the first time in his life he felt truly out of his element.

Swallowing his uncertainty, he stepped forward. Might as well give the local dish a try...

"Since a lil' before my boys were born, so you can judge it by that." She moved to a different section of the great beast so that there was more skin for her to hack off. When her stomach was near bursting it was nice just to tear off a piece to gum around.

Not that that didn't lead to more feasting, mind you.

"Ya get used to the ocean pretty quick, and the gifts it gives ya. Makes 'em soft, but I'd rather have a pride of sissies than a group of assholes." Which was true. She may not show it, but Clea adored her home, and would defend it until her dying breath. Leaning in, though, she looked at the K'Z lions that had shown up with a critical eye. "Them though, don't trust 'em, personally. Shifty little bastards. Nice, oh yeah, real nice, but don't leave your valuables around them."

Friendship were fine and all until your friends started "borrowing" stuff they never intended to give back."
