 "You're a friend not a slave..." She says plainly, wishing he wouldn't call himself a slave. He was a free man but yet he still acts like he is in a cage. She gets up and walks over to the door, looking back at him before adding. "My room is right next to yours... feel free to come get me if you need anything...". She walks down the hall and goes to her room, shutting the door behind her before taking a hot bath.

~Solo~ ~The Submissive Protector~  As you wish, Mistress......Solo would watch as his mistress left to do her own thing. She seemed very upset about him calling himself a slave again. It was a force of habit though. He has known nothing but servitude since he was a child. Could one blame him for his mind being stuck in such a state? He peered down to his food in thought now that he was alone, slowly beginning to eat it again. He knew that he would have to get use to the fact that he wasn't going to be treated like a pet, but as a friend. A new concept, but he had to live with it. He pondered this as he ate, still enjoying the strange, new food. Meanwhile, a car parked at the end of the driveway. It was black in color and an older model. Somewhat beat up actually. The passenger side window would slowly go down, a pair of high power binoculars peeking out a little as a mumbled voice spoke. "So this is the place? What would a girl like that want with Solo? He's an animal. A killing machine made by my hands. What use is he here?" Another strange voice would follow, it sounding a bit shaky. "Look...... I showed you where she lives. I-I don't know what you're going to do with this information, b-but I still want my payment." The first man sighed, closing the window before they began to drive away. "Yeah yeah, you'll be paid for the intel, don't worry........"No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice finishes her hot bath before she gets out and gets dressed, putting on a sun dress. She goes downstairs and sits out back in the garden, soaking up the sun rays. She stretches he arms up into the air as she lays back, looking over at a red rose blooming.

~Solo~ ~The Submissive Protector~ As you wish, Mistress......"I see you have a green thumb." Solo's voice came from behind Alice as he stepped outside. After his meal, he had left the bowl in the kitchen and has been giving himself a personal tour since then. Once he had everything under wraps, he decided to explore the outside of the home. He had no idea that he would come across a large garden though. His crimson eyes stared at the rose as well, ironically they matching perfectly in color. "I have always liked roses. Such beauty protected by such painful thorns. Strange how that works, huh?"No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice was a bit startled by him and sits up, straightening her dress out some. She smiles over at him and tucks her hair behind her ear some, looking over at him. "Some times it needs that thorns to protect its self..." She replies calmly and runs he finger over the flower.

~Solo~ ~The Submissive Protector~ As you wish, Mistress......"I suppose one must protect itself from the harshness of this world. A shame really....." Solo took a few more steps towards her. He stood by her as she touched the rose, his hand extending out to it as well. He cupped the flower gingerly, letting the smooth pedals rest against his palm gingerly. He stared at it deeply as he continued. "....... It will take me time to accept the fact that I was taken in by one who sees me as an equal, not a pet. It's hard to think differently when you are raised to serve and protect everyone else but yourself...... But sooner or later, it will click. You will make sure of that, won't you?" His eyes would go to Alice, giving her a very faint smile. One could tell that it was difficult to talk to her like an equal. but he was indeed going to try. No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice smiles some as she watches him carefully and knows she should give him more time adjusting to the new environment. "I will try to be patient with you...I just... don't want you to think of yourself a servant anymore..." She replies with a soft smile and looks back down at the flower he touched.

~Solo~ ~The Submissive Protector~ As you wish, Mistress......Solo's hand would slowly fall from the red rose as he turned towards Alice. "Easier said than done..... But I shall do my best for you...... Hm?" Right after he spoke, a strange thing would happen. Suddenly, a monarch butterfly would find a resting place right on top of the neko's nose. It flapped it's wings lightly as it sat on his face, Solo going cross eyes to look at what had decided to plant itself on him. One of his ears twitched as he watched it, slightly annoyed with the bug actually. However, he gracefully lifted his hand to simply shoo it away. Sadly though, it didn't work. Wiggling his nose didn't seem to help either, only making himself look silly. No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice nods some and tries to hide her giggle, only to burst out in giggles as he wiggles his nose. She laughs for a while and calms down when her sides hurt, she's never laughed this hard in her entire life. She carefully gets up and slides her finger under the butterfly, taking it off his nose. "It's pretty isn't it?" She says once she calms down and rest the butterfly on the rose.

However, he couldn't help but smile after a moment, seeing how silly it truly was. Once the butterfly was finally off of his face and placed on the flower, his eyes would no longer be crossed as he stared at the bug. He thought about her comment for a moment as he stared at the lovely pattern. "Indeed...... You got quite the kick from that, didn't you?"No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice cant seem to help herself and reaches out, petting his ear softly. "sorry, I didn't mean to laugh like that..."She says softly and removes her hand from his ear. She feels a bit bad for laughing so hard like she did and carefully removes her hand from his ear.

~Solo~ ~The Submissive Protector~ As you wish, Mistress......Solo would close his eyes when he felt her soft touch on his ear once again. He felt so relaxed when she did that. Or when anyone did it really. So of course, when she apologized for her outburst, all he could do was forgive her. "It's okay. I suppose that I did act a little silly." He put on a warm smile for her, actually enjoying himself for once rather than trying to be formal. It was nice to say the least. Wanting to change the subject, he continued. "So, why exactly did you want a pet anyways? Company?" He was wondering this since the moment she took him out of his cage. No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice just smiles as he forgives her, she'll have to remember that trick the next time she does something. When he continues and ask he question she just pauses and thinks for a moment. For the past 3 or so years she has been quite lonely with her family giving her the cold shoulder. "I guess...I just want a friend...I've been alone for about 3 years, so company is nice to have..." She replies after a moment and gives a small smile, watching the butterfly flutter off

~Solo~ ~The Submissive Protector~ As you wish, Mistress......Solo nodded at her answer. It only made sense that she wished to have some company. Especially if it had been three years since she has really been with someone. He was curious as to why she had been alone for so long but that seemed to be more of a personal topic. Something they would surely speak of later once they knew each other a bit more. "Well, I guess that just makes my job easy. If all I have to do is be around you, then I suppose I will enjoy my stay here." He once again gave her a friendly smile, something he wasn't very use to. Though the fact that he was going to live an easy-going life with a young woman did sound much nicer than being controlled by one. Kind of gave him a small glimmer of light in his once dull, dark life. No harm shall come to you My Lady.

Alice felt relieved when he spoke, happy he didn't ask about why she was alone. She doesn't mind telling him that her family is a bunch of greedy monsters who she no longer speaks to for that reason, but how the falling out happened really hut the most and always seems to make her cry. "Friendship shouldn't be a job....Yeah it can be hard work... But it's a strong bond that is hard to destroy... Would...you be interested in that?" She says after composing her thoughts, she doesn't want him to feel forced to be her friend.
