"I know enough to know I don't have any other choice," Zia said as she closed her eyes and waited for the cool breeze of autumn on her skin to let her know they were back on earth.
"You'll see," She half whispered, but almost as if it were a less than confident assurance for herself. And she was quickly jerked out of her thoughts when a soft leather glove grabbed her arm and pulled her into a back breakingly too tight hug.
"There you are, you b***h," Alfheim exhaled a sigh of relief. He had been tracking her when he suddenly felt a stronger energy signature and lost her. He had been wandering around all this time, and just happened to be tracking back trying to pinpoint where he'd lost her trail.
And here they both were.
"Jesus ********," He glanced to Iris, "If I had known you two were out together tonight you could've saved me a trip out and a huge heart attack."
"Fwhy?" Was Zia's confused mumble and only contribution as she recovered from being grabbed.

Iris was not expecting such a greeting upon returning to Earth, but there Alfheim was, embracing the b*tch. She was family, so it was passable.
The blonde's voice was distinctly flat as she commented "How sentimental..."
Allowing a couple fingers to dwindle into the strands of hair framing her face, she replied "...it wasn't like I planned it tonight... Spur of th'moment field trip... girl talk... ya know... that sort of bullcrap..."
There was something fierce about the way Iris looked at Alfheim, as if she was trying to silently warn him to choose his words more carefully. However, there was a good chance the damage was already done.
Brushing the strands of hair she had just been fussing with to the side, Iris waved a hand in a lackluster manner. "Well... I should probably get goin' or some sh*t..."

Alfheim returned her serious look with a serious frown and a worried furrow of his brow, and Zia caught both exchanges.
She knew they were friendly, but when she was released, she looked between the two of them, and then a suspicious look at Alfheim. They had been spending more time together since the visions of the future hit Destiny City, something she had found incredibly comforting. It was a sort of assurance that things could go back to when she was younger, when he was a teenage outcast and used to indulge her with attention. That no matter how crazy s**t got, Noah was going to be the one to accept her.
The loss of that feeling had been a huge rift in their relationship since Operation Rota. Its recovery these last few weeks had been a welcome thread of sanity and hope.
Which is why the sudden realization it had all been a ******** ploy was a sudden ignition of rage.
"You're... I thought you were keeping an eye on me because you were worried, not because you agreed with her that I can't be trusted," She said, shoving off the remainder of his lingering hug and looking just basically crushed.
"Zee, I--" Noah reached out for her shoulder, but without warning she whirled around and took an opportunity to sock the taller girl with a full fisted punch square in the nose. "You involved my ******** brother in this bullshit you butch wannabe psycho b***h?!"

Blood rolled down to her lip, but the senshi didn't even seem to flinch.
"...What're ya doin'? Smackin' a mosquito on my face?"
Zia was just a girl at the moment, and Iris was an Eternal Senshi. There was a drastic difference between them at the moment, and where as an agent of the Negaverse might have preyed on such a difference, Iris had her own ethics to guide her actions.
Licking up the bit of blood from her upper lip and spitting it to the side, the blonde deeply inhaled in a mildly bubbly way (extra liquid did not make inhaling an easy task). Stepping back and taking up a loose fighting stance, her henshin faded, leaving the punk that was Ellie Spectre standing.
"Stop bein' in denial, ya f*ckin' b*tch... he's involved because he's yer f*ckin' brother... doesn't matter if he knows or not... he's INVOLVED because of YOU!"
Spitting once more, she added "...th' first one was free... ya ain't gonna get anymore so easy."

"Zia, what the ********?!" Alfheim grabbed her arm, but his grip was jerked away. But since Iris wasn't moving to retaliate and even powered down, he let himself be removed. Ellie gave her a freebie, so if they could just exit the situation without anything terrible happening...
Aparently it had been a short sighted move to let Zia shrug off his grip. Ellie couldn't even finish her last sentence since 'easy' seemed to be punctuated with another attack, this one a much more savage body tackle/punch combination that came with almost no ******** your freebie!" Zia spat, and then yelled until her yells broke into near screams. "Butt out of my mirror s**t and butt out of my family!"

Being the sort to instigate street fights in the past, Ellie's deceptively passive stance was not sloppy by any means. When a punch was thrown in anger, there was a good chance more were coming, and when the lilac haired girl flung herself at the blonde, the blonde was able to react.
With all the weight and force that her opponent had thrown at her, the blonde ducked down and firmly grabbed onto the punching arm. With a bit of her own force, Ellie pushed against her attacker as she once more released Zia.
"Stop makin' yer mirror sh*t into everyone else's problem then!" was Ellie's firm rebuttal.

Zia stumbled back, but wasn't so easily deterred, grabbing on to clothes and whatever else was in her grip as she was pushed, she couldn't take her release and instead kept herself in close proximity to Ellie to swing another punch.
Which was interrupted by Alfheim grabbing on to the hood of her sweatshirt and firmly pulling her backwards.
"Both of you need to knock this s**t o--"
Given size, age, and imposing stature, and the fact that he had known Zia for most of their lives as a pampered prep school princess, Alfheim hadn't been expecting her to savagely shove him back by ramming the butt of her palms right into his solar plexus and he ended up releasing his hold to gasp for air.
"The ******** was already going after Ellie again, aiming for er face as always. "Why don't you go actually be useful for once and dust some youma instead of butting in where you're not wanted?" Zia spat. "I needed a royal battery, I got one, and that was the extent of your invitation you giant, butch pile of garbage. I don't want you in my mirror s**t and I don't want you ******** with my family."

It might have been surprising to someone who had never been in a fight to lash out against family. However, Ellie knew that right now, Alfheim was background noise, not only for herself, but for Zia as well. The blonde may have respected the man, but right now he was an obstacle. Rather unfortunate for him, but nothing she'd bother with at that moment.
There were other more important things to tend to that very moment.
Such as that fist that was yet again trying for another face-shot.
With a firm hand, the tomboy grabbed onto the moving object, clutching onto it fiercely.
In return, Ellie fired her own balled up fist towards the raging lilac beast's face.
"I already told ya my stance, you f*ckin' b*tch... stop makin' yer mirror sh*t everyone else's problem. Yer so blindsided by yer own f*ckin' goals that ya can't see past yer own toes."

Zia probably would have done a better job of dodging if she wasn't almost numb and not thinking. What precious seconds she had were focused on trying to wrench her hand from the larger girl's grip.
She took the fist on her lip, and after impact only realized it had gotten her good by the salty taste of blood flooding her mouth.
Zia staggered a bit, and then pulled back to spit on the ground.
Another attempt to claw Ellie's face off was abandoned in mid motion as she ended up returning the grip she had on her hand and making an effort to pull her forward. Either way, she capitalized on the opportunity of an expose arm and savagely bit down on her bicep.
Zia probably would have aimed to literally pull back some flesh if her hair hadn't been pulled. She thought it was Ellie retaliating, but when she saw the leather glove push Ellie back, she realized what was happening half a second before she was hoisted up like a child and slung over Alfheim's shoulder kicking and screaming to the point of incoherency.
The squire was just glad his leather armor afforded him a little bit of padding in addition to his broad shouldered and tall stature.
"You're both ******** ridiculous," He snarled, unfortunately to Ellie because she seemed to be the actually alert one, especially since Zia elbowed the back of his skull shortly after.
With an oof he put her down and gave in to his urge to shake her. Maybe a little too hard. He realized he was digging his fingers into her arms with all of his strength, which was a lot for someone at stage 2 power level on a civilian. A physically smaller and weaker civilian even when they were both without power boosts. Regret sunk in his gut as she stopped and looked at him with wide eyes. A bruise was already darkening on her cheek and her mouth was flooded with blood-- mostly hers-- and she looked absolutely ghastly as she just stared at him and tried not to let tears well up in her eyes.
She raised one hand to point at Ellie, who was behind him since Alfheim had turned them around to be a barrier between the two women. "She took me to space and left me in the des--"
"You're out of your ******** mind, Zee," He didn't yell. She might've preferred it if he did. Instead it was a low, threatening growl that was hushed in a way that suggested embarrassment. Without a word to Ellie, he took full advantage of their size difference and forced her to walk forward, nearly dragging her off.

The blonde couldn't help but internally smile at the sight of Zia spitting crimson to the concrete. However, the victory would be short lived as the lilac haired girl decided she had become part shark.
Ellie was still quite capable of continuing the fight, however, as Alfheim intervened, practically tearing Zia off her arm, the blonde easily backed off by merely taking a couple steps back. Her stance was still the same loose defensive posture from before, and she kept quiet as the Squire chastised both girls. She might not have agreed, but right now he was the one at the advantage. It'd be stupid attempting to fight him now, just like it was stupid to have once-upon-a-time challenge a youma while powered down.
Zia apparently was not nearly as smart about the subject. She poked the bear, and the bear lashed out in retaliation.
Ellie had grown up as an only child, so the concept of siblings and that sort of relationship was still a rather foreign concept. Sure, she had friends who had siblings, but it wasn't the same thing as whatever drama was clearly unfolding in front of her.
It was a rare moment when the tomboy was at a loss for words. So instead of offering anything to the Squire as he herded his sister away, the blonde merely straightened up and watched in silence.
All she could hope was that her point had been made, even if blood had been drawn.
