If only Roland could see her thoughts he would have found it adorable to see the images floating through her mind. In some places the world she saw was real, here in the city it wasn't but smaller towns it was and something he never really grew up fully experiencing.
"Yeah they work great, but you can't use them in the bag, only in a wallet at the most, other wise it's too bulky for them to sense it ya know?" Roaming down another flight of stairs he moved to one side of the station waiting for a train on the right hand side to arrive. "Yeah, we moved three times really. The middle time was a short stop here in the DC area, we just kinda stayed for a few months before moving on again. But it was summer so I had all the free time in the world then at least." Looking over as he finished speaking he frowned, Shu was distant in that moment, a single hand moving over to pat her shoulder.
Suddenly she was on her tip toes lips brushing over his cheek, "Well, I figure it's a good reason you know?" His arm slipped around her tugging her close to stand beside him as a train rolled in. "Nah I just... never went anywhere with anyone so I always had more left over again and again, I go shopping now and then but I keep a lot of money at least."
As the train doors opened he pulled her along into the train grabbing them seats to flop down into, "About eight, not too long till we get to the mall yeah?"

"Ohhhh I put ours in the pocket near the the outermost fabric layer and it still works. Nope, eight stations sound fine. Is it difficult to familiar a place again and again? Like you have to make new friend, develop your social network all over and you will miss your old friends......Roland, you need to go out and relax more, our job is stressful." She patted on his shoulder softly. Then, her phone vibrated for incoming messages, "Roland, a COSTUME PARTY! We can get what we need in our trip, together with candies and bears!" The girl excitedly announced, squishing his hand with sparkles in her eyes. "Will you have time to join me? You will be the best reaper." Considering what his weapon was, the jest validated.

"I mean I guess I could just stick it in my pocket that would work." Silence fell over him as they sat there, talk turning to his moving and making friends again. "I never had much a social network, the moving thing made sure of that. My family wasn't great either so I just... never did that stuff. Or had close friends." The pat was relaxing but it was still a sad sensation.
Suddenly she exploding into life again causing Roland to blink, his own phone buzzed as well with the notice. He offered a shrug and nodded, "Sure, they usually have stuff like that this time of year too, or I could get some cloth. I think we can do that yeah." The train continued along, they where only a few stops away.

She chatted with Rep and favourited Harrison's post for the support, it was gonna be awesome! "I will be a witch with bunny ears then!" The girl chirped and clapped for the excellent idea, she's gonna to remake how she liked in one of her dreams she had in the tower. "I had a weird short dream that I seemed born in the Halloween world, a dessert witch freshman, something went wrong when I was a baby, it gave me a pair of bunny ears that I hid under a cloth hood. I think it would be a nice idea to dress up as her!" After the sharing, she adjusted her posture and patted with her small hands right in the middle of his face, quite clear and short. "You said it, no unhappy face in the holiday, so this's a small punishment~" The girl grinned, giggling. It was one stop left from their destination, the feet inside the little boots tapped the floor one after another, eyes on the electronic board that indicated which station they were.

"A little dessert witch?" He said with a tilted head to the side eyeing the little hunter curiously. Eyeing Shu's face and wondering how she would look in a pair of little bunny ears and finding that well, it suited her just fine since he called her a bunny anyway. "So does this mean the little Shu Bunny is a real bunny after all?"
There was a small smile on his face when suddenly her hand booped him right in the middle of his face causing him to squack in surprise. "H-hey you asked the question that made me sad!" Shooing her hand away he got up as they pulled into the Pentagon City station, "This is it, the metro connects right to the mall from here." Holding his hand to Shu he waited for her to hop up so he could lead the way.

Shu didn't take Roland's hand, instead when the door opened, she rushed out of it. "No objection~", the petite girl winked with a finger waggle. After a few steps, she turned back to wait for him. "The witch in my dream didn't born with ears, they are like humans. It was an accident when her mother baked something next to the young girl, thus she used a hood to hide them. I think I will see if I can find a hat with fluffy bunny ears -" Fluffy was a main point, Shu answered Roland's problem when they walked side by side. "Wow, this mall is quite big..." She raised her head to scan through the multi-floor mall, from left to right. "We have big malls like that too, when there are events, the top floor will be stuffed with cosplayers!" It was a weekend day, and the area was packed with families, adults and children. "Roland! Roland! Look at all the beautiful decorations!" The taller hunter was shaken by his arm as Shu distracted by the festive embellishment. "Awww, it would look great at night."

Roland blinked and Shu was gone, darting out the door between a crowd of people, stumbling after he squeezed his way through a wave of people rushing to get on as he stumbled out. "So it's official Shu is a bunny." Another quck pat on the head as she explained her dream, "I don't dream all that much to be honest," he said as they started to wander into the mall. "We can probably find you a hat at the same store we get you a bear." He paused for a moment glancing at a map as Shu took in the sight of the mall before them, he didn't look away as he spoke.
""We don't have lots of cosplay in the US unless a convention is in town, you know one is happening because you see people on buses and in metros all dressed up around the weekend or week it happens." Finally pulled away from the board he looked around nodding at the decorations. "Kids usually get to trick or treat in the mall during the day, they usually close them at night. Safer that way." Finally getting beside the tiny hunter he pointed down the long aisle of stores. "Down that way and on the right we should find the toy store."

"Not a white one, or else you will be Alice. I have my Alice already~!" Shu giggled, shoulder moved up and down. "Nah, not normal dream, the dreams I had in the horseman tower, I saw Miss America in them twice. Short, weird dreams." She had her head tilted aside. They talked as they walked on the long aisle towards the toy store, one or two kids ran passed them with buckets, a little vampire chasing after a little werewolf. They circled the two for a moment, using them as the barrier against each other, before they headed towards the opposite direction. It was natural to twist and follow the kids around them until they ran away. Shu nodded at the similarities, "Yes yes, I love to guess what they are dressing as when I see them on public transport, mostly I get the right answer." There was a proud smile on her face. " We have several events each year, small and big, there will be some organized inside universities too, isn't it awesome?" As a past cosplayer, she got excited easily with the theme. "Is it that one? Be quick, Roland. We don't know if we have enough time to get what we all need!" The girl dragged the hunter by his arm and started to dart towards the store. "Candies are waiting, bear is waiting for me to get it home~"

"I'd make a terrible Alice, I'm not blond and I don't have boobs," Shuffling along he made a small O face at the mention of the tower, "I was back on the island working with the crews that open the portals to get you guys there and back. It's hard to do that when you're fighting in some other world timeline place thing." To this day he still wasn't sure where they were during all of that or how they even knew to get there and back again.
Twisting between the two children he made sure not to get tripped up, though Shu seemed to be enjoying the whole scene playing out as Roland stumbled onward to the toy store. "I was never good at guessing I didn't watch much anime really, I mean you hear of the cons on the news and stuff but that was all I ever really noticed of it. They aren't as big here as other places."
Sudden;y Shu was off, tugging him along as she scampered towards the toy store, "Yes yes that's the one! Slow down Shu slow down we'll get it all I promise! You go find the candy and I'll bring you a big bear!"

Imagining Roland as an Alice was the best joke of that day, Shu was thinking if she could get a blonde wig as well as two oranges, maybe - Luckily, Roland's answer saved himself from getting a miserable impression, "Oh oh you were one of those who saves us? Wow~" She sent a look of admiration. "It's - weird to have another identity, the promise they gave was tempting. For a while, I couldn't get rid of it...It's fine now." That was what she said right before the kids ran towards them. "I know, but I can't stop the excitement inside me. That's a good idea, let's meet at the cashier later then! Text me if you've waited too long." She waved delightfully before swiftly disappeared in the crowd. From what Roland said, she realized her life, past life was totally different from him. She enjoyed anime, manga and games and they're part of her life while Roland seemed to be more mature with his lifestyle? She enjoyed dressing up as another character, it was like she could live their lives once, she used to have many outfits at home. The girl spaced out at the candy column, until someone asked her to scoot over. "Oh sorry." Shu moved aside with a smile and checked the candies displayed on shelves. She picked a small pumpkin bucket into her cart, and then started to get different kinds of candies: chocolate bars, lollipops, gummies, marshmallows and some bubblegum balls. It was a great thing that they have individual pieces on sales, she blended in with the children well.

"I didn't save anyone, I just helped make a door to get home when it was all said and done ya know?" His hands where tucked in his pockets looking around trying to decide where to go and find the bear. "You're just fine Shu, just the way you are. I like the little bunny Shu."
Waving goodbye to Shu, wandering into the isles, it was true, they where different, but some of that is what Roland liked about Shu, she seemed sweet, innocent? She wasn't none of them where, but she was just... so happy. It was almost like Nevada. Positive, no cares, maybe in a more child like manner. Still he liked it. It made him smile as he scooped up a four foot bear and cuddled it in his arms before wandering to the front of the store again.
Eventually Shu would notice him, standing alone near the cash register, not just holding a four foot brown bear but draped with a costume as well from a shelf not to far away.
"Shu?"

Shu didn't reply Roland back, but getting them out of the chaos was perhaps the best thing to do. Some of them switched sides or turned against each other, like Stormy. There were some hostile horsemen and students who attacked hunters in sight and the Priest - She was very thankful for whoever got them out, all safely arrived home. While the bear hunter was hunting for her bear, she got a small blank notebook out of her candy house bag and a mechanical pencil. She moved to a less crowded corner to scribble the outfit in her mind out, a very rough hatched sketch. "I need the hat, the colorful top, the skirt, I have the leggings and boots.....Hmm, I need some buttons and bobby pins, and that's it!" The petite girl closed the notebook with a thump, put it back into the bag. It was a good thing that the store was like packed with all kinds of stuff. After getting enough candies, she drove her cart to the accessories section before reunited with Roland. She could see the hunter from far, but what he was holding made her eyes rolled big and squealed with delight. It might be a little "car accident" if Roland didn't stop the speeding cart by his long leg as his arms were occupied by the girl that jumped up to glomp him from the front. "Bear! My bear! It's so cute and BIGGGGGGG! Thank you Roland, it'll be the best bear I have ever!" She yelled in exhilaration. "If-If I am a bit smaller, maybe I can sit within it, like a castle hehe~" Her hands wrapped around Roland's neck, flushed from the excitement. "Thank you Roland! Thank youuuuuu~!" Roland would feel the momentum and had to brace himself not to be knocked down. Miliardo Kason Q:Why you don't show an excited girl a big teddy? Roland had indeed just done his job, he wasn't sure what had happened, who turned on who, just that it was his job to get them a portal home somehow.
Standing around Roland just held the bear just like he had Shu earlier, arms tucked under the bears arms looking around for Shu frowning in confusion. Suddenly there was the sound of a cart squealing along rolling and rolling.
The cart hit first, then Shu and Roland was spinning about confused as he tried to sort Bear from Hunter as Shu clinged on squealing on delight. "Y-yes! It's your bear!" He laughed a bit trying to squirm free of her and sort everything out. "I said I would get you a big bear!" Carefully he placed them down stumbling in the process. "You could almost fit in it if you hunched over just a bit." A soft smile crossed his face, "You're very welcome."

It was just a little drama happened in the store, and clamour like that wasn't uncommon. Yet, when it was from two grown-up, ignoring the one that can tricked you into thinking she was just a big girl, it drew the attention. Mommies and daddies's eyes all focus on them but that didn't bother Shu at all, she was as hyper as someone who intoxicated with sugar. Candy Crush. "You utterly keep your promise! Well done Roland." She giggled and the curious big eyes caught by the fabric hung softly on his arm, slid down the taller hunter. "You get your costume? What're you gonna be?" She gazed at the costume, as if she would see through it. If the clothes were alive, it would feel it was a mice stared by a cat with a smile. After a few ten seconds, her attention finally shifted. "I got some candies, three buttons and some bobby pins, are they cute?" She pulled her cart close enough for the two to peek inside, scooped up the pins and buttons with her hands, one wrote: "Official Candy Taster". "Hmm.....I still need to find a hat and the clothes, do you know where the boutique clustered?" But first they need to check out so that she can hug her new bear.

Roland was aware people where watching them, but he was also well aware he would never see any of these people again, or likely ever come to this store again because of the nature of their work. So he didn't stop Shu at all as she got hyped up on candy and fun.
"I do keep promises, besides this is why we came here today so it would be silly not to bring you a bear back." He raised one arm lifting the paw of the bear waving it at Shu as she inspected it and his costume, "A grim reaper, you know with Sylvia being a scythe and all it just kinda works."
Shifting about he peeked around the bear looking at her pins and baskets nodding, "You better not eat all the candy, you'll get sick before the party.... as for boutique cluster... I mean they have clothing stores all over the mall...."
